Great review Steve. Lovely piece of kit for the price. Hopefully they will come out with a Ft/lbs version in the future. Also great that it has it doesn't rely on the available light, so great to use indoors with a good backstop.

Hi Steve. Well,following your review i too ordered one. First impressions are good,i agree with the setting up of the rods but once done alls good!! I have a gamo phox and it has shown me how consistent it is for an unregulated rifle. It is down on power so hopefully i can tweak it up a bit and still keep legal. By using heavy pellets then light ones it has given me results to achieve the power i require and stay sub 12ftlb/16J. Thanks for a honest review.

I bought one of these from watching your reviews. Have been using it with pellet pistols, using both alignment extensions (double the distance) The fps seem a little high. I am recording the results, and using numbers for relative comparison with co2 pistols. Could the slightly hig numbers be because of temp/RH/mbar here? Indoors(27c-50% RH -sea level)??

The display lists a readout and avg fps, then f, a number (003 etc.) and f, in random orders, sometimes with an r/m number... have no idea why it does this. If i monitor on the app and then delete that preset it seems to delete, but then is there again when i switch back on...

I've just bought one of these and found it was really inconsistent on readings from my HW35. You might get 1 or 2 shots at, say, 570fps and the next would be around 250-270 when there was clearly no difference in power. I tried another springer with silencer and there was no problem. After making a 5" spacer for the end of the 35 barrel the readings are now consistent which confirmed my suspicion that with no spacer and the 35's muzzle too close to the chrono the air blast was fooling the sensors somehow. Tried it repeatedly with/without spacer and got the same consistent/inconsistent results. A gun with a silencer obviously has the air blast dissipated prior to hitting the chrono. The WiFi doesn't work on the one I bought either but not too bothered about that.
I tested my HT X3000 against my tx200 (see Steve's review). It reads 31 fps low on average. I trust the tx200 (bought it after seeing Steve's review) but would not trust this to confirm that my rifles are within the legal limit. Spend the money and get the tx200 is my recommendation.

I would like to know if the extreme edition has 120 shots recording capability and the permanent store of data in memory after a shut down (I am a little bit confused among extreme edition, supreme edition and enhanced edition)
You can get this with a 1/2 unf adapter that allows it to be fitted on the threaded end of barrel in place of silencer, works very well. Check out the airgunology page on FB
The only thing about this is that all you instructions are in Chinese. Not even chenglish. I also tested this against my other chrono and they sont agree with eachother. This one says 1.05j while the other says 1.1j as highbas 1.15j. My cqb arena's chroni doesnt afree ether. I saw it shooting a .25 as low as 275fps but mostly 305 fps. Just a couple low fps shots.
Hi Steve and anybody that will buy one of these, I did from custom tackle.co.uk and they come with a 3D printed mount fitted to it rather than the pins Steve is reviewing , eg huggett silencer, 1/2 inch unf etc price is £59.99 which is not bad but I think it’s for the convenience of the fitting
The r/m info is so useless! I'm also not sure how sensitive it is to anything leaving the barrel other than the pellet - i.e. oil/smoke/gas. Still early days for me - will be comparing to the CB-625 I have.

Just adjust the rods to the diameter of the silencer. Works fine for me.

Never used the app, only the unit. Resetting on the unit always worked for me no problems.

This unit looked promising, until I found out it doesn't do grains only grams and the output is in joules....
