All they need to do is add a male 1/2x20 UNF thread to the front end of it so that you can shoot suppressed at the same time as chronying, and this is the perfect chronograph form factor.
Bought one last week, got my brother to 3d print spacer to go over my 1/2 unf on Katran as the collar is larger than shroud and wanted it to but up to shoulder to ensure concentricity, played with calibration so it reads same as my LMBR

Do you think it would be better if it had a little wired display that could be mounted to the gun so it can be easily viewed while shouldering the gun? I suppose the downside would be the wire though. Can you see how it’s built? Does it look easy to take apart?

These chronos do crazy results on CO2 Pistols, my out of the box CP2 showed 14 ft lbs on the short barrel and 7 ft lbs on the long barrel. Infra red sensors see the gas blast.
@@sub12airgunners I made a sort of muzzle brake about 5 inches long with milled slits on 6 sides, the Co2 still screwed up the velocity, then I threaded the front of the suppressor and joined them all together! Last reading with all of that, said 5.95 ft lbs, So it is not a pistol problem, it is a chrono problem for sure. I will get a check with a real non CO2 phobia chrono soon. Watch this space, it is important here....

Mine must have been faulty. Most of the setup you showed didn't work and battery wouldn't charge to the 100% even if left overnight. Editing the pellet weight was impossible. Changing one digit changed all three!

Nice little unit, bit like my Combro CB 625 MK lV in operation, bit easier to mount and it stores the data where as the combo needs to be hard wired to a lap top (which I've never been able to get working properly. Also have the FX which is also handy.

The chance is very small that it comes out of the same factury. Chinese are masters in making nice looking copies. However in insides are often totally different, made with fake and often used parts . Leaving out everything that is not absolute "necessary" like protection, filtering and using the cheapest parts they can get. . (I'm an EE ). I saw a video about cheap Chinese body armour. Turned out to be so fake a 4,5mm 7,5 Joules air riffle had no problems penetrating. I'm curiuos to see the inside. The price is to high to be junk. Probably only two IR leds, 2 detectors and a processor.
No, this is definitely from the same factory that AirForceOne used for theirs. This was released before the AirForceOne was. So how can explain how they managed to get the same dimensions of the AirForceOne device before it was released to the public? Only way was it came from the same molding design as original. I bet the electronics are the same too. The firmware might be same but bmp logo is different and easy to change.
Not much good to to people like me that have NO thread on the end of the Barrel like so many things ZERO THOUGHT . is that not too much faith in the Skan
It looks a neet unit but its a shame you need to calibrate it , so to me it would be no good because the reason I'd buy it is because I don't have a chronograph in the first place. Good and informative review though .
There is no calibration, it's just a chronometre and and a basic calculator. Nothing worth this price. Itwould be at 40 euros I wouldn't mind, but at 105 I would definitely go for a doppler one
@@doctorxring fx airgun one's is the closest. But to be honnest, the chrony on the video is in direct line with a 40 euro's one like Zonfer Ballistic Chronograph. There is nothing impressive with this new chrony except it looks like a sound moderator. For its current price I would expect AT LEAST an output moderator thread, a red+green laser pointing and a vibration recording. All cheap technologies today.
Surely if you need to calibrate it and you need something else to do so, it is pretty useless and you might as well save a bit longer and avoid the chinese rubbish ( guaranteed to break 1 second after worthless warranty runs out)

You need to do a side by side against a FX chronology to gauge if the cheaper Ali express version is worth saving £75 on. Good vid though 👍🏻

no sorry, the only time i have seen this is on an fac running over 900 fps it kept saying that we tried it on a sub 12 and it worked fine
