Nice review on boot hight.Today this one dude called my cowboy boots ugly but when I look at him he’s just wearing almost all ripped jeans and all distressed denim jacket.I was rocking my stingray boots and I told him,When at least I have confidence to wear them better than you,”Believe it or not these are the greatest shoes all time,And I’m trying to hipe up cowboy boots to make it a difference for the first time.I honestly can’t stand people these days.I want to live in Texas that way I can where my cowboy boots in peace
#BOOTCLUBFORLIFE
#MakecowboybootsAtrend
This channel should have more subs than it should be
Damn straight, Penguin! Stringray cowboy boots ARE the greatest shoes. He's jealous. Hell, I'm jealous of those stringrays! Good for you for sticking up for yourself. Keep being a great cowboy boot hipeman. Don't let them bother you too much. Just keep doing what you do and rock those stingrays. #bootclubforlife
You to Jeremiah keep doing what your doing
Thanks man. I'll never stop!
That dude was just envious buddy. He was envious because you have the balls to rock the boots he only dreams of wearing....D
Texas is a great place but you dont need to move there to wear boots in peace. Just move to a rural county and youre good.
"It's incredible what half an inch can do" pretty sure I heard my GF say that once
Hi five ✋
What a lad
Lol
"It's incredible what a half inch can do".... That's what she said! 🤣👌🏼
**wink wink** haha!
I worked rodeo for 32 years. My favorite boots were Olathe (originals) 18 inch high with 2.5 inch heels. Very comfortable boots to wear. Unfortunately my foot grew a few years back and I had to pass them on. They were great and I wore them for about 25 years with no issues. Just occasionally resol
Olathes are so classic! I'm not surprised you got so much use out of them
I've already watched this video, but I watched it again, why? C'mon Jeremiah you know your videos are some of the best on the internet!
Thanks!
I'm learning so much, thanks Jeremiah!
Awesome. I'm so glad I could help. There's really so much to talk about when it comes to boots. I never realized it but ever since I started making these videos, the topics just keep coming up! Much more to come!
Great and simple video - my custom engineer boots will arrive this week and I recently have been grappling with some regret about not going with the stacked woodsman heel at 1.87", but after watching your video I feel better about my initial design decision to go with the 1.5" woodsman heel.
Once again, great informative video
Thanks Paul! Mrs. Davis from Davis Trailer World set me off on the right track. I brought so many people to get boots from her she started testing me on how cowboy boots should fit haha
You ended my search for which heel is best. Thank you.
This is a great topic! I have a pair of cowboy work boots with a 1 1/4” heel and a pair of Buckaroo boots with a 2 1/2” heel.
Nice range! You like them both equally?
Jeremiah Craig I definitely like the buckaroos the best! They look amazing.
Being 5'9 the 1.5 inch heel works just fine for me Haha.
Nothing wrong with that!
Great video, Jeremiah! I just ordered some Abilene cowboy boots with "hidden" work tread, for going from the job site to the dance floor. So, I was curious to see if my heels were too tall to be comfortable all day.
I'm 5'5". And I got the 1.5" angled cowboy heels. It's my first pair of cowboy boots, so I wanted them to be versatile. I can't wait for them to arrive!
Nice that sounds like a good choice! That's my favorite heel too just because it works for so many occasions
Being 5'4" I can appreciate the extra height.
Do you have any boots with heels taller than 2in?
@@JeremiahCraig No, 2" is my tallest heel. I have 4 pair of boots. My favorite are my Dan Post python skin!
Nice! I'm jealous. Python skin looks so great for boots
I'm 5'4 so do too!
I had a pair of normal height ones which were fine but wanted a higher heel when dating girls. Found a lovely tan pair on holiday which have 3 inch heels.
Nice job. I wish I was 6'1". Pretty much the perfect height for a Male I feel. I totally agree that the 1.5" heel is the ideal height for a heel on a Cowboy boots. Most of my collection of 30 or so are 1.5" Thanks for sharing!
I've done 1 1/2 for over 30 years ,the secret to wearing a boot for a long time like all day is compression socks.
how well can you run in them?
@@bodedobbs7197 very well but I don't recommend doing it, but if you have or i have to i can do very well.
My favorite heel sizes 1 and 3/4 inches. It is my comfort zone and that puts me right around 6' 2. You talk about a man that wears cowboy boots show confidence within. Every day I wear cowboy to in feel confident about myself however when I put my 1 and 3/4 inch heel on I feel like I can tackle the world and nothing in bring me down. It is actually very comfortable as an all day boot for long periods of time as well believe it or not. It buut I am referring to is my Ariat Heritage Roughstock in particular. That is a big reason why That is my favorite boot style in my entire collection. I like it so much I buy a Why round show after I fell in love with my square toe rough stocks. Jeremiah if you ever get a chance to try the 1 and 3/4 inch heel I would love to hear your review and thoughts on the comfort level! It's the perfect compromise between the one and a 1/2 inch and 2" heel
A kid and his boots! Love you man! Seattle, correct? The Cowboy boot is universal in its appeal. Spent 50 years living in So Ca, wearing Cowboy/harness boots. Some made fun, most liked them. But I liked them, and that is what matters. I'm in West Texas now, and it's the norm here. Work construction in Justin work boots, 1" heel, I believe, and rock Tecovas and PD Tuff harness boots on the days off. My wife, just yesterday, bought a pair of Ariat Cowboy boots, and LOVES them, the first time in her life she has EVER worn a set of Cowboy boots. Keep up the good fight, and God Bless.
Yep! I'm in Seattle right now and you're totally right. The cowboy boot is universal. Glad to hear you got your wife some boots too! Everybody needs a pair
Your videos about cowboy boots are like so funny but yet very informing, I’m now getting a pair because you kind of explained the whole thing about having to be confident and now I understand, hence, I’m getting some 😂
YES! I'm so happy you're in. Let me know what you end up getting! Welcome to the boot club, Wade.
Jeremiah Craig haha thank you I actually got a boot brand called Dan Post boots, although I almost got a pair of Justin’s
Wade Hanley epic!
Abilene. That gets me feeling real good.
My had always wore boots on our farming beef ranch...I started wearing them too since grade 6 for same reason but also for health reasons. I was born with short calve muscles causing me to walk on my toes which in turn made my legs ache so bad that I could not sleep at night. The heel height on my boots caused my leg muscles to relax since I had no need to walk on my toes anymore.
Wow! Love it. This is something I would have never thought as being a benefit to wearing cowboy boots. Thanks for sharing.
It's all about that heel baby! The higher the better.
Niiiiice
Great review, thanks! I prefer lower Cuban style heel, like Sendra or Sancho western style boots have, with more angled lower heel which I've found way more comfortable if you're a "Urban cowboy" and see horses mostly on TV.. LOL That's why I call those "Western boots". Yeah, and I'm in Austin TX, wearing my boots with pride and getting tonns of compliments, even though Austin is cosidered quiet a "hipster" town.. ;)
Thanks Mike! I love that look and I want to add a pair of Sendras to my collection someday. That drastic angle on the heel is so sleek!
Great video I will definitely be contacting you Thanks
Thanks for video. Worn cowboy boots for decades. The 1.5 inch is best if you are on your feet all day. Higher heels
to show off, maybe. I'm 5'10, so don't really need height. This is especially true if you live in urban areas
with lots of concrete and hard stone floors. You want height, do the cowboy hat. Best wishes for you and yours.
I love high heeled boots and I'm a man I were a 3 inch heel everyday and it's so powering
I do video production so prefer ropers for when I work. The heel makes it easier to roll my heels when walking with a gimbal.
I like your channel. I live cowboy boots. I to like the 1.5" heel. If it more than 2" I believe the fronts are built up. I'm 6'3" so I'm towering with my boots on.
Thanks Mark! At 6'3" you must be a presense with boots with 2 in or more heels
Good video.. can you make a review on the sendra cowboy boots and also the heel type? Thanks
Will do. As soon as I come across a pair. Can't wait to do that video.
A pro to the roper heel. If you're flat footed like me, I love those higher heel boots too, but sometimes those high heels will make your feet angle weird (You've mentioned that truth in a previous video) and the roper , squared heel helps plant the foot harder because there's more area covered. It can help if you want to experience western boots with flat feet and don't want to feel like you're tripping over yourself.
No doubt. Great points. Roper style is a great transition boot from dress shoes or sneakers.
@@JeremiahCraig I don't consider ropers to be transition - as if they are a lesser version. I have both types, and prefer the ropers. Each to his own.
My Justin 2710 boot heels are 1 3/8 in. I love the boots and the height is perfect. I'm 6 ft. I totally agree with you.
We don't need much extra help in the height arena haha! Thanks
I agree with you wholeheartedly. The one and a 1/2 inch is perfect for wearing. At 5' 9 it does help add height But is comfortable. I have a pair of boots that have a 2 and a 1/2 And you are right after about an hour and a 1/2 my feet begin to hurt. I don't know how women can wear 3 and 4" Since I also have Have weight. One badd thing I have is my left foot is wider than my right foot and takes longer for my boots to get broken in. Love your videos
Thanks! I hear you. I wonder how girls can do those high heels too. That does sound annoying with the left foot. Will anyone sell you a wider size for one boot? Also, What's the boots you have that are 2.5in heels?
@@JeremiahCraig they are Double HH's
I MISS YOUR HAIR THIS WAYYYYY!
Nice video
Thanks Fabry!
Hey Jeremiah- I never wear a heel less than 1.5 inches. I am 6 feet 8 inches tall and I never, ever feel the heels can be too high. I have two pairs of sendras with 3 inch underslung heels that I wear often. I bought a pair of boots on ebay with 5 inch heels (no clue what brand) that I wear around the house. I never have a problem with the heels being too tall-or with me being too tall!
Wow 6'8" and the 5 inch heels! Love it!
There is no such thing as being too tall!
cowboybootfan What foot size do you have? I am 6’ and my foot size is 13.
size 13-14 depending on the boot
I hear you cowboybootfan, I'm already 6ft4 without boots, and I have some at 5.5 inch heels, love them mine are from Miguel Jones boots he is listed on ebay as cowboybootusa. Just love the tall underslung heels.
Jeremiah Craig
What brand & Model are those Amazing looking Black boots with the 1.5 " heel ? i also have a Narrow foot 10 B size foot so hoping these are still one of your personal pairs and can give me the low down on them gorgeous boots
I have a 2 inch pair and 1 and a half inch pair. Both great.
Nice! They're all great! What were the Justin's you posted on the FB group?
I have boots with 1 1/2" and 2" heels and can't tell any difference in comfort when wearing them all day.
The only pair of Abilene boots that I have owned were never comfortable. It may be the boot rather then the heel that makes them more tiering for you to wear for long periods. I don't think manmade soles ever break in and become as comfortable as leather soles. They do last longer though.
Always enjoy your videos.
Thanks Greg. That's a good point. I feel the same way about their insoles and I've had a hard time breaking them in. I still like them though and would be willing to try another brand with 2in or more heels
Your Abilene boots look great and will become more comfortable with years of wear.
I get the impression that you aren't really into the roper heeled boots.
look forward to the next boot video.
I have two pairs of older frye boots with super high heals on em. Can they be altered to the standard size or they are designed to be a certain way and that is it?
One and a half inch is my favorite. One inch is my second favorite.
Because of my foot problems, I'm not sure I can wear a 1.5 inch heel any more. However, the 1 1/8 height works well for me.
No doubt! Roper style boots are perfect for that and there are so many different types out there for it.
Jeremiah Craig can you do a review on Moneyworth and Best water proof spray
Sure I'll do my research
Comfort in a pair of cowboy boots, as far as heels are concerned, are partially about heel height, partially about how underslung the heels are, and mostly about how they match the curve of your arches. That's what I've come to find after wearing boots for the last 30 or so years. For me, I found that the Justin 1-5/8" heel was about just right. But I've also found that a boot with a higher heel could also be just as comfortable if the curvature of the arch inside the boot matched my own arches - which is going to differ from one boot brand to another, so you'll find what works for you. Also, the more underslung the heels are, generally the more comfortable they'll be. An underslung heel puts the fulcrum point of where the heel first hits the ground well underneath your foot and more directly under your lower leg, where the force will be directed. So it should put less impact on the ball of your foot. But ultimately it's whatever boot fits the arches of your feet.
The vast majority of cowboy boots I see at the store are workboots with a roper heel.
Yeah, those types are used in multiple types of manual jobs, and less likely to be used for riding or other jobs involving agriculture. It's the same down here in urban Texas, where I go to school (I live in the real rural part of the suburbs, especially since there's literally a cattle ranch next to my neighborhood). Most of the workers here wear these bulky workboots
how well can you run in the 1 and a half boots
Hi Jeremiah, what do you think of the 8064 Boulet dress toe cowboy boot. I bought the zip half high Boulet, there are a bit loose fit, my heel slips every step.
You're supposed to have some heel slip but not as much in a zip boot as a regular pull on boot. The 8064 looks amazing. Love the french toe!
I love my Stockton by tecovas.
Next time you review Abeline boots could you please sing a few bars of Abeline prettiest town that I've ever seen ?
Sure! What a great song
I like the 1" heel.
Like you say, there are so many variables to this topic. The most important is the individual's personal preference. Boot construction, design, and quality are very big factors also. I wear boots with 3-4" heels regularly, and can honestly say they might be just as comfortable as some boots with lower heels. Guys actually have an advantage when walking in heels compared to women, our feet are usually a bit bigger which decreases the angle your foot is on from heel to toe. Needless to say, a guy can't just jump into boots with 3" heels and expect to be comfortable and walk confidently. It is always best to "work you way up" to higher heel boots slowly by starting off with lower heeled boots first. Like you say, "confidence is key", and you surely don't want to be stumbling around in higher heeled boots publicly. I have found that having a boot bud can help us get over the usual nervousness associated with wearing cowboy boots, "confidence in numbers" has always worked for me. New boot wearers should refer to your earlier video on this topic. Finally, I am a short old guy, so I need all the extra height I can get. But, most of all, I like the way I look in higher heeled boots and levis, which helps me feel a little less short, and perhaps a little younger....
A boot bud is an awesome thing to have for confidence. I'm gonna have to try some higher than 2in. Interesting fact on the heels for men with us just having bigger feet in general
Wish I could afford to buy you a nice pair of Paul Bonds with killer heels....PBond boot sales would double overnight due to you videos...
What is the model number for the black boots?
chiming in late, but I prefer the 1 inch heel over 2 inch heels, I walk 10+ miles a day and its more comfortable in my opinion, also i'm 6'6 so I don't really prefer the extra height.
I can understand that. The 1 in heel is more comfortable especially for new boots but I have plenty of cowboy heels of 1 5/8 that I could walk for longer in than the 1 in roper heel of a newer boot.
Can I buy a pair of cowboy boots and use them for literally everything? Walking, working, hiking, standing for 8 hours etc?..
I have a pair of 1 inch 1.5 inch and 3 inch. I'm in the same boat as you at 6'4" and I look down upon the scurrying ants beneath my feet. Though the 3 inches have a really thick sole.
I prefer riding heels or cowboy heels honestly, roper or work boot size heels throw me off and doesn't feel at natural ( even though long before I was a cowboy boot guy I mainly wore work boots). So growing up I never got to get into cowboy boots or anything due to how I grew up having said that when I got into cowboy boots as an adult I found that not only did I like them and the style they are also a literally the most comfortable footwear i have ever put on my feet. i have had arthritis in both knees since atleast 19 when a doctor diagnosed me, I have also delt with leg and back pain; when i switch my posture got better and my pains went away for the most part and now i exclusively wear cowboy boots. My first few pair have/had a walking heel which i like dont get me wrong. I found out after I picked up some used unmarked custom full quill ostrich (that amazingly were apparently custom to my feet) off of someone in my area for 25$ I had a spiritual experience like Jeremiah Craig talks about in one of his boot fit guide videos they fitt perfectly; they have a riding heel and honestly It's my favorite I'm short makes me feel tall.
At 5'10" I do not need the extra height, but I have all three heel heights - and I love them all. Horses for courses. Ropers for casual knocking around - or even for wearing with a jacket or the right suit. The higher heels are fun to wear with everything from jeans to jackets to suits to tuxes. And, they are all great for dancing. My 2-inch heels give me the feeling of being light and fleet on my feet but do take a little more energy than ropers. All are good. Now, Jeremiah, tell us about the toes.
How high is a "walking heel"
Dude, I've seen customs as high as 7 inches. And yep, they look as hilarious as you would think.
Sounds scary! My feet hurt just thinking about them
I can't even imagine a 7 inch heel 😂😂
So actual high heels for men? 😂
I got pairs of 1 1/2 & 2 inch cowboys boots they are comfortable.
That's what I'm talking about!
Great video but if you have a quality good fitting pair of boots you can do hard work/ walk around with them all day and your feet will be fine.
I believe it. I know my Abilene's aren't the best quality in the world. I'll get another pair of 2in heels someday and try again. What brands do you have with 2in or more?
My Bent Rails have 1-3/8 inch heels... oooooh I feel good
Yeah buddy!
Are those 2” heeled Abeline boots new to your collection?
No i've had them for 6-7 years I think
I wear 2 in. heel
I don't think you can really say that a 1inch heel is the best for work. Just look at the Nicks Builder Pro. They're logger boots and used by everyone from electricians to loggers and definitely more. And I think my favorite heel is 1 5/8
I totally agree, the 1.5 inch heel is all around most comfortable. I never tire wearing boots at that height. I bring some of my cowboy boots into a shoe repair place and they can bring any heel up to two inches. I have two pairs that he did for me at 2.5 inches. I love it! The extra height and the 2.5 inch riding heel makes a huge difference. Great for a night out, and I definitely feel the confidence of wearing cowboy boots being a lot taller. Best $60 bucks ever getting the heels replaced to go higher.
I've never seen anyone clean/condition/polish the shafts of the boots if they have decorations/designs or perhaps white stitching on a black boot. It seems to me that even the shafts need attention, but HOW?
You can condition the shafts. I just don't do it as much. Maybe every 4 times I condition the lower part of the boot and I would use a conditioner that doesn't change the color. Like Bick 4.
@@JeremiahCraig Thank you.
Why has no one addressed conditioning/cleaning/polishing shafts decorated with different colors or with contrasting color stitching, such as white stitching on a black boot, in RUclips?
I have yet to see anyone on YT who demonstrates maintaining the shaft as they do the foot of the boot.
how to can found in japan ?
I'm not sure. There needs to be more boot stores worldwide
I’m 5,5 and I’m 13 so 1.5 works for me
I don't blame you. That's my fav too
I have a double H 1 inch heel boot and a Tony lama 2 inch heel, and the 2 inch is actually more comfortable to me because of the arch shape in my foot.
That’s what she said! 2:25
😂
I prefer a one inch heel for its functionality at 5’2 nobody ever notices when I add two inches to my height 😂😂.
Just plan walking heel don’t need heels to make my ass and legs look hot, my two girlfriends are 5.9 and 6 foot.
The guys that ware the real high ones are a little different
The ladies love an extra half inch though. :D
what do you believe the highest heel for a men to wear on boots is before it crosses that effeminate line and is considered effeminate
2 inches max
I buy cowboy boots for the style. The best looking, in my opinion, is the semi riding heel that's under slung. Anything that is straight down is not cowboy.
John Wayne had his boots made with a 2 inch heel
He totally did. He did a lot of riding. Had a badass saunter from them too. Such a cool dude
Trent Doss John Wayne was also 6’ 4,” he wore them at that height.
Every inch counts Sir.
measure the heel in the same place
Time wounds all heels.
