Gotta give props where it’s due, the fight scenes in this show are some of the best in all of Star Wars! The writing leaves a lot to be desired, I don’t care at all about the “twins”, but Qimir and Sol are the best. Episode 5 is still the most rewatchable, Dafne Keen’s (jecki) dual saber fight choreography was what Ahsoka’s should’ve been like!
The fight scenes in this show are so cool every time. Some of my favorite Star Wars fights. The show definitely isn’t perfect, and the characters didn’t hit me as much as I think it did other people. I do think they are setting up for a season 2 though, which I hope we get, because then we get another cool story, with good action, and hopefully it does everything I didn’t like as much better!
Anakin was using his light saber. That was a key difference. And an intelligent move by the writers. Had they not used killing a Jedi without a weapon I'd have a big problem. Had Anakin killed Padme woth the force choke then his Saber would probably have turned red. Unless it has to specifically be a Jedi.
I don't get why everyone is always on about Jedi sensing stuff about people... Palpatine was right there for years and they didn't notice. Plus he was acting in a way that made him suspicious, they even said the dark side surrounded him, and still didn't put two and two together... Vernestra is a Jedi, but also a politician at this point, she can definitely lie to Yoda and he wouldn't know. We can disagree about this, it's fine, no worries. But I really don't get why Yoda would know or sense everything...
The only thing yoda truly sensed was when 99% of the Jedi died at the same time, other than that he didn’t sense plagueis, palpatine, maul, didn’t sense his apprentice going dark, it would make sense that he doesn’t sense any of these events unless hes directly involved
In regards to Anakins crystal not bleeding, the crystal needs to be exposed. Sol's crystal sticks out of the hilt so Osha had direct contact with it. Dagan in Jedi Survivor has to disassemble his lightsaber to bleed the crystal too.
She was able to bleed the crystal because she was in direct contact with it … if you look closely the crystal is exposed on the side of the hilt and her hand was on the opening
I didn't care for The Acolyte at first, but Sol and Qimir became two of my favorite SW characters, and I hope we get a season 2 so it can focus more on Qimir and the Sith side of things. Now that we've seen the whole season, I'd say overall it's my second favorite live action SW series behind Andor.
I loved the show. thought the episode was great. Didnt like that sol died tbh. And for me tbh, i really think that yoda should only be a puppet post revenge, and cg pre phantom. Just so visually its consistant with the story
Also Shane I think having the senator more of a sub plot throughout the show, would have gave us more of a sense on the pressure of the situation as a whole. But loved the show! Thanks for your reactions!

Even throwing sol under the bus ,still doesn't absolve mae of murder of indara and torbin!! They have witnesses and evidence so they can't just blame that on sol!! The show has to many things like this in that folks just gloss over!! But some details need to be flossed out!!
I wouldn't kill Sol on season 1 one of the show since he's the only one who seems powerful enough to defeat the stranger here but... nice episode. Hope we get more soon. Aaaaand now that we're finished I got a new excuse to rewatch STAR WARS since this is a prequel show.
You can be opened minded and not like this show lol I am one of those people overall 5/ 10 should have been more than what it was especially for the amount of $$ it cost .if they do a second season I hope they get better writers 💛
Am I the only fan who misses 3D CGI animated Yoda? I fucking hate this puppet. IT'S 2024, it's idiotic to use practical effects when we have technology to do something beautiful. This is before the movies. Yoda is supposed to look YOUNGER.
As a person that grew up in the interim, gonna say I prefer OT Yoda to CG Yoda. I’ve explained as much in the reactions or maybe just full length because I never watch all or any of either but point is it’s ok to feel amigo. You do you Magoo.
she killed sol when the character was refusing to give her critical information to justify his actions, and she kills him with her tainted perspective and it's just dumb and the man did nothing wrong them witches were hostile right from the start especially the one mom, you can tell the show is written by someone with no noteworthy credentials and the best fight was in this episode possibly but i think star was is particularly bad at fights atm, about to watch your cobra kai reactions which is a good example of good choreography. i think the bleeding lightsaber thing is a dumb lore change as well like all the other lore changes that keep[ going on, this wont get an S2. I hope they fix upo for the next show as it's getting boring now watching this titan of a brand rot
Thanks for being open-minded and letting the show speak for itself. There were certainly some tough bits, but the show was fun overall. I enjoyed it.

I finally cancelled my Disney+ sub. Only Andor S2 will bring me back (and only temporarily at that).
