I had a '69 Bronco with the 302 V-8, 4.11 gears and 3 speed manual. I averaged 17 mpg on the road and 14 in the city. Give me a 1st generation Bronco anyday !
I love my 2023 4 door Sasquatch package 2.7 I’ve had zero problems with it… I will never wheel it I have my 93 wrangler Sahara edition for that it has a 4.5 lift 1 inch body lift Dana 44’s front & rear with Detroit electric lockers pretty much goes anywhere & I love both love all the creature comforts in my new bronco & I love hopping in my bare bones Jeep! Awesome video by the way… 😎👍🏼
I've owned 8 bronco's in total throughout my life, some of the best off-roaders you will drive. I still own bronco #5 (1976 Sport), bronco #7 (1974 Explorer) and bronco #8 (2021 First Edition)
Love the video but once again the 66-77 bronco never came with a 351w stock. They were offered with the 170, 200, 289 and 302. I love both my classics and my new one. 1968, 69 and 22
That rat 1975 looks great! No dash pad, nice tires, a little rust around the edges of the roof. $20k, no way, My '76 drives really nice, considering her age, and no way, no way, you could replace that 302 sound.
Great video, but good luck finding a daily driver for $25K & the 351W was a swapped motor, never factory option. Had 76 years ago now I've got a 22 4-door.
I agree and disagree. I’m a solid axle guy so I would have loved if it had one, but also I think the independent could be good, if it were stronger from the factory.
While the first-gen (1966 to 1977) Bronco still had a solid front axle, the Bronco had had an independent-front-suspension ever since the third-gen got introduced in 1980. IFS on a Bronco is nothing new! Nowadays, saying that a Ford Bronco has IFS is like almost like saying that the sun rises in the east! LOL
I disagree on the IFS making the new Bronco better off road. That is not true, you get better suspension travel, and strength from solid axles. Everyone knows that. Better on street, but IFS not better off road
I love all broncos . Ive owned a few over the years. Just got a 2023 badlands. 4 door 6 cylinder. Anyways... sweet hair by the way...lol it reminds me of Syndrome form the incredibles. Thats a compliment im not trying to be mean😅 Syndrome
Lol. Well I didn't sit around and think it over it just popped into my head and yes you do have the similar look of Heatmister. And I'm 50 years old, and I have kids that loved the incredibles
If you can legally ride bicycle in traffic to go buy smokes, there's no reason you shouldn't be able to order the new bronco without airbags or ABS or any of the other electronic "safety" systems that have been mandated in the last few decades and still legally drive it on U.S. roadways.
HEY! I recognize that first gen…been a ‘fan’ of Jon’s channel for a long while!
Oh, you too Ian, been watching you since the ‘Exteme’ days…
Just a heads up, Ian, you could not get a 351 in the first GEN bronco. It was only the straight six or the 302.
Don’t forget the 289 that preceded the 302.
Yeah that was a mistake on my part.....got excited listing all the Ford v8's

I paid $750 for mine, very dented body but great mechanicaly, I could buy a nice house for the difference in cost !
Great vehicles. I would like to find a solid one
@@rediron44 they are hard to find.....and people who have good ones want sooo much

Love the early bronco.

Which one was your favorite out of all of them?!
@@hemmingsmotornews While the 21 is a comfortable daily driver, I'd choose the 74 or 76 for a good day on the trails.

Yep....my bad...got excited listing all the different Ford v8's
@BigTireGarage I totally get especially since it's the most common engine swap. Hell both my 68 and 69 have 351w based engines.
Where's the test ?

I found a couple....do they need a little work sure.....but what early Bronco doesn't
Only here cause Ian uploaded a short on his main channel. Definitely should include a link to this video on that.
I tried...but the short would only let me link vids on my page
@@BigTireGarage ahh darn RUclips!
I have to say it nice hair do man lol
He looks scared...
The independent front suspension is probably the worst part of the new bronco.
I agree and disagree. I’m a solid axle guy so I would have loved if it had one, but also I think the independent could be good, if it were stronger from the factory.
And yet somehow the dinky steering rack is even worse.
Spike the hair but cut it down a bit. Sorry it was just really bugging me.
I drive a 1979 Ford Branco
I'm a second gen Bronco fan the 78/9 Bronco's were awesome in my opinion. Remember the Bronco 2 from the 80's LOL
@79tazman yes I have a few friends own a few, the weakest point was that split front axle. If changed over to a straight axle
Awesome .. Love the OG. Gasoline forever
Yea who wants an Ev I want to hear that thing growl at me when I put my foot in it

I don't think the IFS is "better" off road....but all the tech in that Bronco make it a pretty versatile weapon in the dirt

How are you liking it so far?!
@hemmingsmotornews I love it. I just installed a 3.5 inch lift and added some bigger wheels and tires
That reference tells me your age....if you are as old as me you would of said I look like heatmizer
Lol. Well I didn't sit around and think it over it just popped into my head and yes you do have the similar look of Heatmister. And I'm 50 years old, and I have kids that loved the incredibles
I’m Godzilla swapping my 1972 Bronco. Who says you can’t have it all!?! If only Ford would at least provide a Coyote option for the 6th Gen.
Godzilla swap?! Amazing!
Think I'll keep my ol landcruiser
That's on deck as an upcoming project...
I like the 78/9 Bronco's they were bigger and better
What was it that did it for you with those generations?
I am building an OJ Bronco right now
Drew Fieri
You’re not getting a early bronco like Nash for 25k haha
Cool Scout 👍🏽
Ouch...that is like Hate Mail for a Bronco Owner
I hear those new ones are junk always in the shop and always waiting on parts
I would say they have not shown to have the best track record
