If there is really a glass shortage going on, Bath and Body Works should try doing some kind of empty candle return program in exchange for points or something, so that they can be recycled or reused or something. There's only so much an individual can do with all those glass empties.

Hi Bonnie! I have been recycling my candle jars for storage as well. I’ve also kept some of the candle jars like the land of sweets empty candles and I put a flameless tea light inside (white or colored lights) and I use that for Christmas decor. Looks like I’m burning a candle! Thank you for sharing your dyi candle recycling!

Also love to put coffee beans inside with non scented tealights or Michael’s has really pretty multicolor glass gems, I use them with scented Yankee tealights.. on the coffee table set up 3 with a cute placemat/runner 💕

Bath and body works needs a buy back program! Maybe we can get 10 cents per jar or turn in 10 for a free candle, kind of like what lush does for their containers

I’m a perfume collector and I have tons of 10mL travel sprays/rollerballs that used to lie around everywhere as well as multiple empty 1-wick B&BW candles. So one day I decided I needed some kind of storage for my travel sized fragrances and decided to try and clean one of those empty 1-wick jars. It worked like a charm! The jar was the perfect size for around 5/6 minis! It wasn’t too difficult of a process either. 🥰

I saw a picture where someone made a Christmas wreath out of the lids! They added artificial flowers to pretty it up! 😍 If I find the picture, I'll email it to you!

I upcycle as many as I have use for (I try to come up with ANYTHING to save as many as possible lol) and the ones I don’t have a need for I recycle and keep the lids as coasters 😊

Lots of great DIYs Bonnie. I usually use mine to put potpourri in, fresh cut small flowers from my garden, pens and believe it or not! The hubby used my ideas to store nails and bolts and stuff in our garage on his side of the metal shelves lol.

I do this too with my old jars! I like to use them to store things in the bathroom
My mom has glass stain she likes to stain the jars with too!

I have cleaned out 3 candle jars and put cotton balls in one, q tips in another and bracelet jewellery in another that I store in the bathroom on my shelf with my bath and body products. I picked the pretty lid ones. So happy with them.

The jars are great! I love them for storage but also for flower arrangements/table vases, as well. They’re so versatile! Thanks, Bonnie. ☺️💕👌

Yeah l like the recycling idea but frankly l would only keep a few. There's truly only so much a person can keep no matter how hard they try. Bbw should try a lid recycle program or something.

I wish they had a recycling program for the jars. I just hate throwing them in the trash. I’d send them my jars so they can re use them!

The really pretty ones like Birch leaf and sage and the gardenia and the new one I just bought which is the pink one with the shiny jars that are kind of sparkly I wait for them to burn all the way down and then I carefully take a soft knife and get the silver off of it and then I let it soak it in warm water with a little bit of time and then use rubbing alcohol to get any excess off of the bottom and then soak it again and I’ll use it for cotton balls are Q-tips or make up sponges anything you can think of so I am right on board that’s name of the reason why I buy those ones too.
