    Your video is a lifesaver!!! I've been trying to figure out the best way to clean out a BB&W candle jar that my 13 year old daughter so desperately wants to use for her "stuff!" (It's the "Frozen Lake" candle that came in a gorgeous, iridescent blue jar!) Your video is genius! Your method is super easy, less messy, and less time consuming than melting the wax, etc. And I love the idea of using the leftover wax chunks in my wax tart burner! I just subscribed to your channel, so I'm looking forward to seeing what other awesome ideas you've come up with! Thanks for sharing!😊

    Thanks for this tutorial! I never thought to reuse those jars, but after they are cleaned they are actually very useful!

    I did this and then used E6000 to glue a knob to the lid and spray paint the whole thing--turned out great!

    @Erinn Covington That way is not effective, it leaves wax all in the jar and it's not an easy clean up.

    Great IDEA! Excited to try it! I need to do this. First, I must burn through a few B&BW candles!! ;)

    Omg this is perfect timing! I was just searching on you tube yesterday how to remove the wax. I put my candle jars in the freezer last night and I'm gonna try this method today. Sometimes I think our minds are in sync with each other lol! We should do lunch soon :-)

    My wicks are sticking to the bottom but I didn’t try the freezer method yet, mine already had a crack in the wax so I managed to pull up half of it without the freezer

    How long do you wait to put it in the hot water after you've taken it out of the freezer and removed the wax? I feel like it would crack if you did it immediately lol

  • @cass77788
    @cass77788 Год назад

    i just freeze mine then turn them upside down and tap them a few times and the wax falls right out i have never used a knife. Leave the candle under the hot water and peel off the label while holding it under the water and it comes right off

    I just stumbled across this video, I wanted to use the jars to store spice and stuff. Do you have any idea how to get the smell out of the candle lid, I've tried countless methods and the smell doesn't go away and it makes the spices smell like candle scents.

    my candle has been in the freezer for 6 hours and it only cracked slightly through the middle should I try to get it out

      I know this comment is 3 years old lol but I think she got it from B&BW! They sell some pedestals for the candles!

    It's effective but washing wax down your sink can clog your sink over time.

  • @goshsamit3350
    @goshsamit3350 7 лет назад +1

    An easier way to do this is pour boiling water in the candle! The wax melts and bubbles to the top, then you can just pick it up!

    Next time try a blow dryer to remove the bottom label.

    If you leave it over night it comes out completely without using anything

      I have done that before and I still find that I have to work it out with a butter knife like I did in the video. I guess I just haven't gotten that lucky with the candles I have had from B&BW! lol
