Incredible drone footage of the marsh I have been fishing the past two months. Thanks for that. What day did you fish there? I fish from a similar boat only it CC G3.
It's funny seeing people fish the same spots that i did 25 years ago when I was a kid. back when pink flamingo sign that marked the Bridge off of Highway 6 that went back there. Back then the diversionary canal was full of cattle and rattlesnakes on it's banks. now it's become residential homes......And that wood think in the middle it looks like a peer that floated out there I don't know how long that been there but that's not supposed to be there.
I always look to see if I can recognize where you're launching, kinda funny how I've fished the same waters and now im watching you fish them from my phone...
I see guys fishing galveston marsh, but for all the boating/trouble to get in there, I'll be honest I do much better wade fishing pellican island or just waiting for a nice blue surf and SE wind. Beautiful video though!
Hey Kagen Fishing... Came here from MDLR ... Great footage of area ... I'm curious what sort of GPS app or device you use to plot your tracks What do you use to keep from getting lost out there... I'm just using an app on my Android phone around the mangroves here in SWFL no marsh, just mangrove and bay. 10,000 islands area. Thanks... Appreciate it... Liked and Subbed. Yep audio is good
I have a garmin chart plotter on the boat that makes tracks. But when I was on the solo skiff I used Navionics on my phone and that worked great. I’m glad you enjoyed the content. I will one day get down in Florida to do some fishing the 1000 island area looks amazing. Thanks for watching!
No I still have it and have been wanting to take it out recently but I just always have my rods and tackle loaded in boat so it’s just easy to hop in and take off. I will be making a video with the solo soon though!
We tried the next day but bite was slow ended up with 3 drinks and one keeper. If we would have stayed till later in the day I’m sure the bite would have turned on but it was slow enough that we headed in.
That’s not really true about a 4 blade prop preventing sliding in turns. Engine height and trim level is what helps or hinders sliding. I can slide a boat with a 4 blade prop and I can slide a boat with a 6 bladed TRP prop. A 4 blade prop will have more bite in a sharp turn preventing the prop from blowing out and causing the boat to come off plane but it won’t slide any more or less. I not trying to call you dumb because that’s a common misconception that 4 blades prevent sliding. If you trim down before a tight turn it will lower the bow and there will be more boat in the water to grip the water and it will stay on rails
Not mad if you call me dumb. I’m still learning every day. Just sharing what I’ve experienced. I just didn’t had any luck with the 3 blade. Even trimmed down. Once I switched to 4 blade I had great result.
@@phamvh1 different props can have bow lift or stern lift built into them and the 3 blade you had probably had too much bow lift and moving to a 4 blade probably evened out the boats attitude allowing the boat to have more grip in turns.
That drone footage was amazing and the music just put it all together
Thanks!!
Hey Kagen, love the videos! Got a quick question for you, what mic do you use for your audio? It sounds super clear! Thanks and tight lines!
Awesome boat for the marsh. I'm ready to get back out there and fish again , hopefully after Christmas. I fish all over the Galveston and Sabine area.
Sounds like my reels late in the season. Time to clean and oil it. Hehe I enjoy your videos
Good to see you back. It’s been a min. Hope you are making that $$$
Wintertime mud fishing in Galveston. Gotta love it.
I was out there last weekend and it was deadddd catching fish. Saw bait down the way but hardly anything went on our fresh shrimp.
You should keep a little bottle of Rem oil in your boat for your reels, it will be a good temp fix.

Nice work and fast! To do all of that in 1.5 hours, wow. How long did it take to wash the boat? LOL

what rod are you using? Looking to pair with my concept 13 a2, same type of fishing. I see it is a waterloo, but what is the specs?
It’s a Waterloo phantom 7ft medium
how shallow can your boat go? would def be interested in getting a marsh boat someday
Not bad for winter and 1.5 hours that's for sure, was the outro filmed on a different day?
It was all filmed the same day. I just recorded the outtro before it get to dark haha.
Nice footage! What happened to your solo skiff, did you move on?

Lets see some vids of Randy catching some trout!

Nice work man! Love the content. I’ll be in Port Aransas after Christmas. Any tips on fishing the jetty this time of year?
Not sure about jetty fishing really I mean I just get out there and have fun!!
Sounds good dude, I’m definitely going to do that fish or no fish!
What model boat do you have Kagen?
That tide has been super low. It was super sketchy when we took the boat out.
Yah it was sketchy running out into west bay yesterday haha.
What brand of boat do you have?
Xpress 18 semi v
Get you a 4 blade prop. that will help with the sliding when you make those sharp turn. btw great video always.

What's your top speed?
I can go 40mph in the boat WOT. I usually cruise at 30. I want to change the prop on it so I can cruise at faster speeds with lower RPM
Be careful on prop choice since it don't turn good. That is average for that boat!
It turns really good when I have motor down. It has a hydraulic jack plate and I had motor all the way up to run skinny and that’s why it was sliding
