Thanks for this. I'm in a music club at work and today I tried out the drums and did surprisingly well so I decided to look for something portable. I'm excited for my new venture. Also I am a big fan of the late Karen Carpenter.
This can be used for recording instead of using my synthrsizer more room for expression. I got my PTDE06 for $90 bucks today 3/7/2024 and i use it over my Yammy MOTIF DRUMS. Thanks for this mate🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉cheers❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
I just the drum set yesterday and came here to learn. I have difficulties from a brain injury....I always played w a double kick. You showed it here, but I wanted to know what numbers to have the screen on to play them. That's the only thing I couldn't see.
This has MIDI right? So I'll be able to triger acoustic drum VSTs that sound way better than the internal sounds right? And is it possible to add more pads down the line? Many of the VSTs I use have like 3 crashes, 4 or 5 toms and so on so. Will need more pads if I want to get some usage out of all of them.
Would this be a good buy if your looking for an alternative to play metal and rock without having to save a ton of money for an expensive electronic drum kit or an actual drum set?
Yeah if your budget & space doesn't allow it right now, you can use this paired with an amp or powered speakers... just don't beat it to death; remember it's electronics, just turn up the volume on your powered speakers.
If you can spare the cash, you can get a full electronic kit like the Alesis Nitro Mesh for $350 which will fare much better as a replacement for an actual kit. Things like this Pyle Pro are better reserved for casual play, as a toy, or for recording. Not so great for performance, unless the stuff you want to play is fairly simple.
Hi there! I have this kit and I asked customer support and they said it couldn't be done, but it seems you know how to assign voices. I want my snare and hi hat to be switched so i can play open handed instead of crossed. Please let me know ASAP how I can change it, if it's possible. Pyle customer support told me to buy the Yamaha D75 instead >D great job, pyle.
Thanks to a below comment to tell me how to change the Voice (hit the pad and press Voice) but the pedal doesn't correspond to anything but the middle pad.
Thank you for the video, in the special pad assignments, could it be set up for left handed people? for example switching the snare with the floor tom, thanks
goclan goclan this drum set already has left handed mode but in addition to that you can assign any sound to any pad so it would be real easy to do left handed kits.
It's been a few years since I broke this drumset (I was playing it a ton and it gave me 2 years of service and was out of warranty) but if I recall, I assigned the bass drum voice to the left pedal press. Then I just assigned opened high hat to a different drum pad like you see in the video.
So I play guitar, and a lot of punk. I wanted to get into drums just to mess around, and learn. Would you recommend this for learning on? I play a lot of blink, ramones, sex pistols. so on so forth
hit the open hat then press the (Voice) Button and then the left and right buttons till you find the sound you want, you can even put a snare on the pedal if you wanted lol
i have the gear4 music dd305 but i do not know how to assign them pads on it. I just started on the drums this week. Manual does not help/ The drums are great, and good for practicing, they are not the same as real drums or full electronic drum kit but hey it's a start.
I used to connect with a regular usb -a to usb-b cable straight into the computer and use it as a midi controller. You can also record the sound straight from the sound output and use live monitoring on the interface to reduce latency. I prefer using it as a midi controller.
Literally just a foldable coffee table from walmart. I then put a small carpet with non slip bottom under it and put velcro on the bottom of the pedals!
This is the video ive been looking for 🙌 was wondering if u could do double bass...have the pedals stood the test of time? Some ppl say theyre not that great, theyre cheaply made?
The pedals held up to regular use. After a little over a year the snare pad gave up. Really wish that I had purchased the 3 year warranty but I didn't. But of $150 over a year of abuse and regular use was about what I expected.
Thanks for the video! Quick question: what are you using there as a stand? I'm thinking about purchasing one of these, but I'm not sure where to put it (I don't think they make stands specifically for this). Thanks!
@@9voltgorilla902 that is genius. Velcro is frigging cheap too. Score! Have you compared this to any other tabletop units? Specifically Yamaha's dd65 / 75 units? The kit you had going on this video is the best I've heard on the various reviews of your particular unit

Just recieved mine a few week ago, same model, on Amazon. Still getting acquainted. Thanks for the vid.
thanks for axctually demonstrating what i was looking for. Most people ive seen so far havent
yes of course. Sorry I have been MIA.
thanks for the review! sounds like that kit would be fun just jammin with your friends too!!
Very good video, thanks! Gives a lot better idea of what this drum kit can do than most of the videos on here.
Awesome double bass bud. Thanks for the review!
My bro very solid cool moniker, makes me want to hear a one-man beat down project 💪🏼🫠💪🏼
Good drums but I don't like the pedals, too sensitive. It registers 3 bass notes even though I kick one time

I just ordered this @ Amazon
So how is it? What do use it for? Is it worth the money for what you use it for?

Yes, buy a usb c to usb a and then you can monitor it live and have your computer capture the midi.

Metal is a little rough considering the pedals are not the most sensitive or responsive but as you can see in the video they handle double kick well.

brother I bought a kit and I don't know how to use it could you tell me thanks
im think about getting one this case no space can i use other kick pads and not the stock ones
Just got my drum set. would you remember the voice setting on each pad? Thanks
Can you make it a left-handed kit then?
Do you know if you can swap positions of the snare and the hihat on those medeli/alesis/xdrums kits?
You can. Its programable
Solid review mate, thanks. Question: I'm looking at this or the Yamaha DD-65 - do you have an opinion on which is better?
Dd65 is closer set up to a real kit. This one is same quality for cheaper
can you please show us how you put in that double kick !!!
It's been a few years since I broke this drumset (I was playing it a ton and it gave me 2 years of service and was out of warranty) but if I recall, I assigned the bass drum voice to the left pedal press. Then I just assigned opened high hat to a different drum pad like you see in the video.
Just bought one today
Can you do a cross stick sound on it?
Is this worth the money over the pted01?

A year late but yes.
Thinking learning with my seven year old grandson don’t have much rhythm maybe more advice for 60+ retired hobbyist 😂
Jeffrey, drums are honestly the easiest instrument to learn if you are just getting started as a hobbiest.
Thank you great job
Sweet!!!
Good to know. Thank you
How do you assign double bass pedals?
hit the open hat
then press the (Voice) Button
and then the left and right buttons till you find the sound you want, you can even put a snare on the pedal if you wanted lol

Thanks for the video! Can you play dynamics (piano, forte) on this kit?
I would love to know if this model has the voice count option for the metronome like the PTED01 model (older model) has?
I've never heard it have that feature.
Can you make a video on how to program it
crumbs yessir. Very soon
9 volt gorilla boss you can costomized the pads?? Llike put the hi hat on the left pads
@@Ralphpereztattoo yessir.
I have this with me now
Can you connect the drum pad straight to an interface with the usb or do i have get some type of wire converter.

Which stand are you using for this pad?
it's a simple $10 dollar foldable food table.
Can the snare and hi hat position be switched?
How do you make it double bass pedals? Please help
The way I accomplished it was I set the bass pedal to the high hat pedal press. so then when you press either pedal, you get a bass sound.
@@pyrolovesmoney I was in a bad accident and now have a brain injury and can't figure it out. But thanks for the reply
Can you connect this to a computer and record
Good video
this is a great video i want more it tout me a lot about my drum
Glad it helped. Sorry for being MIA for so long.
I just took the easy way out and hooked it up to FL studio

Any way to make it a lefty set?
There's a left handed button which flips the orientation.
Can this work as a midi controller??
Yes. I use it with get good drums and it works extremely well

You can use a regular Snare Stand with it... It's Perfect!
No joke, it’s one of those $5 foldable tables from wal mart with a $5 mat from big lots. I Velcro’d the pedals to the carpet mat.

@@TheRingo2u i know this is super late, but I have not sampled those other units but I still play this unit and have had no problems with it.
Can you turn it into a lefty set up?
Hector Chavez it has a left handed mode which when activated flips the kit. You would just have to move the high hat pedal to the right.
thank you!!
haha i used a TV stand for my kit too
I have the same awww
Oh yeah every punk band uses a 5 piece no most band 5 pieces
Well
