This game is amazing!! I introduced to my friends and they think it sucks since they haven't played it before but they don't know epic games when they see them
Nothing beats summoning as many low-level critters as possible and watching the dragons and liches use their strongest spells on hobgoblins and wild dogs.
Man there was me thinking skyrim was godness and then I start playing Baldurs Gate and I realise Bethesda basically lifted everything good out of this game, put it in 3d and pawned it off as their own. This was the one that started it all.
I can listen to this for it's own musical quality, but u remember the effect when they combined it with a particularly epic challenging fight... everything about this game was flawless. I want to play games from Forgotton Realms, Greyhawk Universe etc.
The ElderScrolls Series are awsome, Dragon Age is great, The Mass Effect Games are fun(mostly because of its story and characters) but Baldurs Gate 1 and 2 are both Epic! The only recent game i can think of which can match the greatness of Baldurs Gate 2 would have to bee Xenoblade Chronicles.

ID? Boy, they really messed up that one((at least the first, haven't played II). But the point is that the game's story is like the most linear non-inspired, no risktaking, bland grind ever. Actually it's kinda Diablo in the BG engine, but that said, every other aspect of the game is wonderful and I'm glad they made it. For whatever the cause, who doesn't enjoy a little buttkicking for goodness?
Skyrim is shit compared to this game.. and young gamers are shit if gaming houses still earn money on game like that. The gdr gaming is going to be so similar to the real life: Beautiful graphics but shitty storyline and gameplay. bah.
