I’m from the Detroit area the tunnel to Windsor ON is about a 30 to 40 minute drive. I grew up watching Canadian TV station. My Aunt and Uncle lived there. One cousin and his family still lives in Windsor. I went there all the time as a kid. Going to Canada was part of life for me. During my 20 years in the US Army I had the honor of working with the Canadian forces several times. One of the jobs I had after retiring working for civil service was in a large office building in downtown Detroit . I could look out my window and see Windsor ON. My favorite view off all times.
Although I may not be canadian, this is so overwhelmingly uplifting that I can't help but feel patriotic, and even be moved to tears. 🥲🥲😭 God bless you, Canada! 🙏🏻❤️🇨🇦🇨🇦

I’m an older stock, proud native-born Canadian. I served in the Armed Forces for 24 years, but the proudest I ever felt was standing at Vimy in France. Every Canadian should go abroad at least once in their life to make you realize that we do indeed live in an amazing country.
@MAY 6 2032 started out in the Infantry as a Reservist, joined the Regular Force in Supply. Various bases throughout Canada and US. Left the Regulars, went back into the Reserves and finished up working with Cadets (most enjoyable part of my career by far).
Thank you for this song, my grandfather was a war veteran and they played this song at his funeral service as a tribute to his service. All those out there who fought for us, thank you for everything

July 1, 2024, was my first Canada Day as a citizen. The hubby and I went to Ottawa to celebrate in style, and we heard the RCAF cadets singing this song, which made me very emotional. We are very proud Canadians, even though we weren't born here. We believe we can make the country even better by voting for a significant change in leadership in the next federal election 💙😉

It makes me emotional, too. I am half-Canadian and half-American, but It is more like I am 100% of both. It is strange thing to have such a full loyalty to both countries. So, this brought tears.. very emotional. I am very proud to be Canadian and only hope I can be accepted, even if I am half-and-half. There is no less loyalty.
