your reaction was appropriate when she blew that g5 note lol..that note was explosive..n Aretha's phrasing (among many other qualities) is what makes her the Queen of Soul..nobody can sing like her.
The Queen never ever over sings, She knows how to set a tune up, and every bar has its own expression - She's The Best, I can see why She's called The Queen...!!!
Not just in so called "Soul" music, but in anything she sang, in my opinion. Including the jingle commercials, she sang. Type: " aretha internet prodigy," as she plays a nurse in a hospital. I think you might like it.
Aretha is the only singer i know who can sing secular or the blues and have you literally shouting like you're in church. This woman was anointed and appointed.....frfr!
I've been a fan of the Queen-Mother of Soul, Aretha Franklin, for many years. I think she is and was the G.O.A.T.!!! I thought I've heard and/or own everything she ever did, but this is the first time I'm seeing this video! This might've been released after her passing??? Thank you much for having it available for me (and others) to see it and for your reaction to it, what a thrill! It's better than the version she recorded in her Live in Paris album, in my opinion!
You should feature Aretha singing when I think about you or one room paradise she was one of the first singers to do vocal overdubs, and was the very best at doing it!!!!
Th note and Power is Gods gift to rhe World thr ough Queen Aretha certainly unmatched a d not remastered its live and real raw from her heart unrehearsed. Called that Spirit , extreme Soul .
Man, you are the best! My favorite singer of all time. You can barely see any veins in her neck! Check out Moody's Mood and The Master of Eyes. This is originally Willie Nelson's song.
👍 I’m an OWG - old white guy - in Alabama. First concert The Beatles in 65. I’d have traded that ticket to see this one in Sweden ‘68. BTW not too bad for a COUNTRY song, that’s right, written by Willie Nelson covered by hundreds.
YOU HAVE TO REACT TO “GOING DOWN SLOW” “IT AINT FAIR” AND “SIT DOWN AND CRY” and I’ll promise your life would be forever changed, better if it’s back to back
Aretha was from another world. So is Jennifer Hudson. If you loved this, you have to react to her cover of this song and another gospel one with Chris: ruclips.net/video/wq5LcPaedJ4/видео.html ....it will blow your mind!
Lauryn Hill is amazing though , the Miseducation of Lauryn Hill is 9ne of the greatest albums of all time. Aretha is the Queen and G.O.A.T and one of Lauryn Hill inspiration.
@@lyd2460 Yes, but her songs doesn't suit her voice or her vocal skills. If you're going to sing a song that's different from your voice type then it needs to be arranged to where it sounds like you singing every note part by part. When Aretha Franklin sung "A song for you" which was done by another artist she still sounded like Aretha Franklin using her runs and her stylings. On American Idol she sounded like Grace Franklin trying to imitate Lauryn Hill with a few extra notes. She needs to learn how to arranged the music to fit her characteristics. She a modern singer with Aretha Franklin's undertones and rasp. She needs to learn how to her voice and Aretha's songs could've helped her to find her own sound.
LOL! Most often, Grace, like most relatives of people with great artistry or talent, normally ignore and take for granted their outstandingly talented relative or loved one! I remember how Aretha's sons adored some singers that were mediocre, but their mother's greatness was nothing that they cared to talk about! I'm sure they were used to her singing and took her for granted. They might've been sick and tired of hearing her practice and sing???!!!
That was a G5 btw! Nothing rare or challenging for Aretha, but with that skill & voice she can give any note the intensity she wants it to have.
I fell over when she hit that note with all that power. Aretha is the total singer !
G5 was her go to note. Real easy for her.
Not only did she have "a long run," she had phenomenally successful career, that a singer/musician could only dream, hope and pray for!
You’re absolutely right Aretha had a pretty damn good long run!!! 7 different decades 🔥💯🙌🏾
@Lonard Lenard Oh yessuh!!
Queen of Soul. The one and only. No gimmicks just pure singing.
your reaction was appropriate when she blew that g5 note lol..that note was explosive..n Aretha's phrasing (among many other qualities) is what makes her the Queen of Soul..nobody can sing like her.
Your absolutely right no one can sing liy Aretha Louise Franklin 🌹 that's what makes her a step above the rest
The Queen never ever over sings, She knows how to set a tune up, and every bar has its own expression - She's The Best, I can see why She's called The Queen...!!!
Greatest of all time
They want it to be some others, but it's not. It's Aretha...every one is her disciple
Aretha Franklin Call Me 1970 live. She is sitting down at a table with a red head covering. Call Me a song she wrote.
One of my favourite performances by her.
She sang from professionally from 1956 to 2018
You should really watch her performance of “I’m Losing You” in 1965. That is an incredible performance.
Yes it is
One of my favourite!!
Yes that live performance is incredible.
She is truly unbelievable. The best of the best. Would love to see a reaction to JHud and Chris Stapelton doing this at the CMA's this past year!
Aww Aretha always make it so sweet. The emotion she pours in soul music will gut you.

Aretha was something else!!! She is so missed but seeing her and hearing her like this she will never die. Long live the Queen!
This was her golden era

YES such a good surprise, this upload. Really the right channel, this one. Aretha remained light years ahead: this stuff really didn't happen then.
Incredible!!! Please react to her performance of "Aint nothin like the Real thing" at the Grammys in 1975!!!
SHE WAS STILL HITTING A G5 5 AT 73 YEARS OLD. BIG NOTES ARE INCREDIBLE
Saaaaaaaang! THE REAL QUEEN!
Omg
When of my favorites ..Aretha in Paris
Phenomenal .
That's that church upbringing at its finest!
The voice Reverend Cleveland brought back to life. I’ll bet their reunion was LIT🤎💜❤️
You should feature Aretha singing when I think about you or one room paradise she was one of the first singers to do vocal overdubs, and was the very best at doing it!!!!

@@NIPPYxMIMI Yes!!!!!!!!! One of my favorite albums!!
You should hear her recording of this same song on her live album Aretha in Paris. It's even more magical than this one.

Great reaction as usual!!!
You know your music!

I’m a fanatic. Love her.
Please react to her singing amazing grace from the documentary!!!!!
Please checkout her sister Erma Franklin. She sings the original "Piece of my heart" in 1967. She also sings a great cover of "Light my fire".
Reminds me of mahalia jackson
The Queen
The blues years...

It's great for our generation; Aretha was on another level though. It's like her voice really cuts through.
The only person to even come close to Aretha, tone pitch clarity and articulation & conviction, is Shelae Frazier McDonald .
💪🏼💯
Please react to Jhud and Chris Stapleton doing this song!!
Can you react to Denise Graves & Patti LaBelle live.
Could you react to some Fleetwood Mac? 😊
Please listen can't help falling in love (dark version) by Diana Ankudinova. Do you remember her?
Etta James, Billie Holiday.
React to Camila cabello best vocal moments live
There was only one Aretha. Marvin Gaye does a good rendition of this song as well
This is what Grace Franklin should've been listening too, not Lauryn Hill.
