My fretless bass was a really lucky eBay find (again) - an Esh Sovereign with an ash body, walnut burl top (both the same thickness), and a 5 piece maple/mahogany neck with ebony fretboard, which I bought for under 400 bucks almost 15 years ago. I love its shape because it's basically the Christoph Kost shape, and I love its Esh-Tronic that allows me to combine piezo and magnetic pickup sounds - that's just perfect for a fretless! But Gregor, your collection is really amazing for sure!
Love the Taranaki. I remember seeing clips and pics of them when they cane on the scene and akways wondered what happened to them. I love their sound, scale length and Wal-embic aesthetics
Oh man that first one sounded like a dream!! I would absolutely love to have one of them, and it’s soo beautiful! And perfect pickup placement in my opinion
the Taranaki has a Kayah body with an American walnut top. Maple neck with an ebony fingerboard. :) Nice to see you like it. It was not only the only fretless, also the only one with Bartolini pickups and EQ.
The Taranaki is my favorite I think. I'd love to hear Frank just noodle on it for like a half an hour and mess with pedals. Surely I'm not the only one? The Adamovic though. A 6 string 32" scale The Dark is my dream bass currently. I don't even know if he makes them at 32 but it'd be so sick.
Something about the Sunn just works for me from the first time I saw it. Always happy to see it get out for a video :) The Taranaki is pretty neat too. Adamovic sounds good but the styling is just not my thing.
Wow!! The first one is amazing. I hope Taranaki will be making more. I can see myself with a 5 string. The second one? Simple; but plenty of Mmmwwaaahhh! The third is beautiful. Nice chambered body BUT that headstock? Yuk! Sorry, not a fan of it! But all three sound great!!😌🎶🎸👍🏾
NOT A FRETLESS PLAYER? dude COOKS. he might wanna consider becoming one lol
😂 thanks man, I will. Already talked with Ulrichbassdesign to get a fretless. I noticed in this session that I like it. 😇

As mainly a fretless player I approve of this. That Adamovic is absolutely gorgeous and beautiful, looks amd tone. That Taranaki is something special.
That Taranaki Fretless is amazing!.. I have a Wal myself, and for a minute I thought it was one..., the sound and the looks are incredible.. 👍
I have a fretted Taranaki in my living room for the moment :-)
also, after watching the full video, the Taranaki might be the nicest sounding fretless ive ever heard, it sounds absolutely unreal

Well. first and third are just killing it! Nice collection.
your Sunn bass is my favourite and its sound is the reason why one day I may try to play fretless
Este bass de 6 cordas é "simplesmente uma nave espacial " ! 👏👏👏

Great video! I’m a huge fan of fretless basses!
I placed an order for a SRD905F :D
Fretless and no Alain Caron signature FBass? 😢 king of all fretless basses
and the Takamine TB-10 and the Remington Steele by Le Fay
Just give them about 7000 dollars and i'm sure they will make a video for you.
Sunn is a name I haven't heard in ages. I had a Sunn mixing board back in the day!
The first one is amazing
Nice basses
Thanks Gregor!!!
I WANT A FRETLESS SO BAD 😭
Super cool , you're God damn lucky ❤❤❤
Any thoughts on Wal fretless basses?
Would love a look at the new Matribox 2 Pro if you guys get a hold of one! Seems like a real contender!
🍯
They are all nice but the Taranaki by quite a way..

Not selling anything? Kinda disappointed! This is my main BGAS channel!
Can I have one?
All great basses but what's happened to "freedom kilos" for your American friends...??
