That white friend needed to get permits is so real. My uncle had that issue opening a restaurant franchise (IHOP) and had all types of red tape. He hired his white friend as a front, and all of a sudden all that red tape went away. All those inspections happened without issue. I'm having my brother do the same for his 2nd bike/atv shop. He keeps getting permits denied or people that work for the city telling him they don't want his kind of business in the area. Smh... He's not giving up though.
@Luke Monsensey who said everybody was out to get them? They told two stories where they swapped out Black Faces and inserted a white-faced in its place and got the desired result. Do you think those stories are false or or irrelevant to the conversation?
@Luke Monsensey when you speak of anecdotal evidence the interviewer ask them a question and not only did they say yes they provided a very specific example support it As far as me seeing white faces that proves nothing because I also said Black Faces I use those two terms equally in spoke of both groups unequal terms . @Luke Monsensey True, I hear them say Italian community, Irish community, Polish community... Its not tribalism, it’s separation by race, and Black folks played no part in that distinction. It’s reality, denial won’t do much to change that...
@Luke Monsensey Depends on who you’re calling “rappers”. If you mean who is signed by record companies, and the content of their music, you’re only scratching the surface. Ever ask yourself why those types of rappers are promoted more so than the artist who are the biggest overseas? There’s a conscious effort to promote it. Stop listening to “da baby” and search for Black thought. Or KRS one. Or Lupe Fiasco. Art imitates life. Not the other way around. People who have no clue about hip hop music love to demonize it lol... Watch some old Public Enemy videos from the 80’s and tell me where you see a stronger anti drug message. Watch “Self Destruction” and tell me where you see a stronger anti violence message. I also couldn’t understand the second to last sentence you wrote because it was misspelled. This coming from someone who’s written over 50 “rap” songs. You folks kill me lol...
@Luke Monsensey Influence who’s culture? What idiot is letting music influence them? Predominant to whom? Record executives? Only cornballs who don’t understand hip hop think that it influences anyone. As far as misogyny, violence and drugs, one only has to study American history to find the true influence that artists write songs about lol... It’s American culture, not “Black” culture. Now who’s the tribalist lol...

@Luke Monsensey I don’t have a narrative to push. The man in the video had a true story that he told. I recognized his pain. Simple. But that true story doesn’t fit your narrative and what you want to believe about our society, therefore you had to be dismissive. You want to believe that things are fair, so you created a story that wasn’t even based on facts. You even said “probably”. You have no proof, no detail. You weren’t even there. The black community definitely can do it. You can break out of the cycle. I agree with what Anthony said about the comfort part and being scared to starting a business. My family was farmers for tens of generations in a foreign country. My father came here, took the risk of buying his own business after years of saving and borrowing whatever he could from everyone he knew and he actually made it out of the lower class and being poor to being middle class and financially stable. We all have the opportunity in this country, but circumstances and lack of support are not there yet.

Amazing show AO. I think you balanced the show well between acknowledging the struggles black people face and encouraging them to not use it as an excuse to quit which is a tragedy. One of the things not mentioned is that some black girls have lost friendships with their black friends because they were “acting too white”, because they dressed nice and were well spoken. I don’t know if you have touched on it on one of your other shows but there seems to be peer pressure to not take advantage of the opportunities that are available. I am constantly running into truly amazing black women who set their sights too low in my opinion. They settle for working in the store when they are smart and ambitious enough to be owning the store. You are doing good work.

Indians, middle easterners and Asians have it figured out! They are the biggest entrepreneurial backgrounds in America - as an example this is how they do it for the most part. My father is an Iranian immigrant. He came to the states with his father, mother brothers and sister, along with 3 uncles (my grandfathers brothers) and they were dead broke. They were able to rent a 2 bedroom apartment in Anaheim, CA, they all got jobs at gas stations and within five years had enough money saved and were credit worthy enough to buy a service station. This was in 1980. Fast forward to 2021 my family owns 20, 7 Eleven stores throughout Orange County and LA County. Morale of the story, you can change your situation. Some are awarded opportunities and some are not, the have and have nots. You can do it! My father has built a level of wealth but I promise you I haven’t seen a dime of it lol. He made me go get mine
To be Blunt and honest I HATE to hear younger blacks people say "they won't allow us to do anything" or "Like Black Wallstreet everything we build they destroy" ...this mindset will make you stagnant and subservient. My question is wouldn't you rather go out fighting to create your own rather than always working for the very people who want to destroy what you build? Black folks need to get use to people trying to topple what we do and figure out ways to protect what we Build.
All my African American family had their own business when I was younger....you may have to start with an employer, but it is within our grasp to have our own in Jesus Name.......

I'm a white woman, and I've known many whites that many doors including myself are closed on. I don't believe it's about culture/color, it's more about the factors going on behind those doors. I was raised to be prejudiced, but it didn't suit me. Being about boundaries and pursuits is what has shaped my life whether positive or negative. At 22, the Lord stepped in and opened the most unlimited and crucial door that has led me through many doors according to His will and purpose. I, too, would have taken the 50,000 to invest, because I already have an alternate list of great mentors. There are thousands of poor whites that need education. What is lacking among the poor classes are mentors, leadership, and education about opportunities. Life is more than about the run of the mill education of reading, writing, and arithmetic. Elementary, middle, and High school would be more interesting, possibly with 100% attendance, no dropouts; by receiving life instructions- business and personal finance, personal/social development, and various professional pursuits. It's about God and Him first; following the instructions and obedience to the Word - Jesus - the Lamp to our feet, and the Light to our Pathway. The video about marriage was the best I've ever heard. Basic and thorough, to the point with Jesus at center! Thank You!!

That part about access to opportunities… I came here as an international student. Spent hours every semester looking for scholarships online to pay for school and was disqualified from 85%of them just because I was an immigrant. But I still persevered. Had an American born friend and one night this friend asked why I stay up so late writing so many essays. I explained that I needed funding for school. And needed to apply for as many scholarship as I could find to increase my chances of getting one of them. Even if it was outside of my major. I questioned why that friend wasn’t doing the same thing since most of the scholarships were for Americans. Response: Nah.. I’m not into writing all those essays unless I know that I’m going to get the scholarship. I’m just going to get the loans and pay them back later.. Fast forward to today.. Me: graduated college Debt-free, no student loans. Friend: thousands of dollars in student loan debt. Talk about mindset… This isn’t a reflection of all of America, but it is a reflection of why a lot of people are living in debt. Not willing to work for success.

This was an excellent session today and I definitely needed to hear it. God has given us all gifts and we have to give that gift to the world.
Whew this was definitely packed with some very important gems! Thank you all so much for this!
Love what Mignon Francois has brought and is bringing to the entrepreneur/business arena! Had a chance to hear her story at Strong Tower Bible Church! Amazing interview...lot of value here!
God brought me here for a reason. Im thankful for you AO and those like you to inspire young people like me to walk in the path that God is trying to lead us down.
Sooo good! Outstanding interviews. Mignon is just amazing. Love them both, but black woman to black woman - ✊🏾💚
Appreciate them both. For being such excellent human being to our community.
You putting some powerful messages together for the culture…I hope they listening…you got my attention
Wow I’m blown away by this interview. “What did you do with the talent that I gave you”? Thank you Holy Spirit for this confirmation.. 10/2/21 I may have missed the initial showing, but it was right on time for me! To God Be The Glory! 🙌🏽
The key to closing the gap is for POC to believe they can.
Love AO and the wonderful smart people on his show
Live this man. Thanks for sharing this conversation. So much needed, I’m from Guinea-Bissau, west Africa. But raised in Portugal which has a big African community.
We are going through similar issues. I believe we are in a phase where we are the first generation building a blueprint of wealth creation but we need a lot more references
This woman is SPEAKING! Breathing life into me! God bless her!
So many gems were said in this episode thank y'all
Notes I took from a Tyler Perry talk: What is my "do it", Look for truth and criticism, Failure is a setup for the next level.
Big shake is an awesome dude! Met him at one of the Huntsville locations. Local engineers love his restaurant
So many gems in this episode!! I am starting right where I am & allowing my gifts to propel me forward!!❤🙏🏽
The Gems in this podcast! Thank you!
“I fearfully and wonderfully made you , why are you worried about a system” Wow✨✨
This was a powerful experience, I got to sit with 3 high income earners who also look like me
👏🏽👏🏽 They are not my ideas, they are HIS!! Wow!! That’s so good!! 🙌🏽♥️
I think the education is there. I think we need to realize what education is relevant. More importantly how to apply that new knowledge.
Man I appreciate these topics and podcasts sooo much! ✊🏾✊🏼✊🏿✊🏾 love my black ppl!!
In 2021, we still have to game the system to get what we desire. Wow, that’s crazy!!
You're helping build up thousands plus AO. Thank you!
Immediately after praying for direction tonight I came across your channel and have watched several of your shows and have taken away sooooo much good information. Thank you for this channel. I Started out watching the single mom who saved $750K and then moved on to a few more of your videos. I look forward to watching many more of your show. Thanks so much.
This was my first time tuning in ......this was a great episode !
Mignon is so graceful.
AO this whole video had my spirit jumping. Love it.
I would have to say is that being successful and keeping your hand out is crazy depending on what your hand out is.
This conversation blessed me so much. Thank you all.
Most wholesome thing I've watched in 2021. Incredible power in these words if we would truly believe it for ourselves💪🏾Love for the content AO🙏🏾
I'm operating with my NEW MINDSET today!!!
I love this! I adopted all of you. God bless and prosper you
Man Im so glad you are doing the most series
Teach Woman of God!! This was an awesome learning! Thank you!!!
This was a jewel! We all needed this interview.
I was with you AO until you said Bill Gates. I’d take Mr. Wonderful or even Damon from Shark Tank 🤔
I’m ALL for getting “the wisdom” but for me other than the Bible I wanna be mindful of who I get the wisdom from. Just like we are called to be mindful of who we partner with in love and business we also have to be mindful of who we listen to for guidance. On that note because I’m wiser today than I was last year or even yesterday.....Like the Parable of Talents ......
I’d take the $50k and increase it.🙏🏾
Love this interview. Thanks for doing this. We need more interviews loke this about successful black businesses.
This interview GAVE ME CHILLS!!! Loved EVERYTHING about it!! Ask for wisdom and knowledge👌
Some ppl rather work and some rather chase financial freedom when it comes down to it... I work within my career but its not my end goal and I can't speak for everyone but I rather work for me when its all said and done because I believe in evolving and just seeing myself actually controlling my life versus an employer controlling it 8hrs a day throughout the week
AO 🤦🏾♂️💯🔥!!!!! Come on boy. Keep doing yo thang my guy. More interviews like this.
Whooa! I wasn't ready...will re-watch with a pen and pad
Sis, you better PREACH!!!! God bless all three of you for the knowledge shared during this video.
I know we could do it because I saw my father and grandfather do it. It’s so hard at times but it’s so rewarding and freeing.
The system wasn’t made for me. What system? You father is the king!! Why you worry about the system?? Mind blowing!!!

Employees that lead can take you further
This conversation gave me Anxiety!!!! TRUTH
Thank You!!
A O!!!!!!!!!! I thank God the Holy Spirit lead me to your channel!!!!! Great Content of substance & value!!!!
Her words made me tear up. Thank you for the encouragement
This episode drew so many emotions from me. 😭❤
I'd like to see G. Hughes on the show. His products have allowed me to eat many foods again. His reviews/Facebook are full of awesome praise and stories. I can't find interviews with him, I think it would be a great show!
To whom much is given much is required
Find that mentor and/or that successful person to get those gems to help you evolve into that person you want to become
I wish i had a few black people around me that was motivated to change everyone i know thinks that I’m crazy when i say we could change are situation ownership is key
This was a word for the soul. So good!!!
This was very insightful! I learned a lot from this conversation. Most importantly continue to seek wisdom and gain knowledge. There's a reason why God says its more valuable than silver and gold!
Can't thank you enough for sharing this.. Needed to hear this.
