Disillusioning a young person that fame, wealth and success just happens. Important to put fame, success and wealth into proper perspective. It doesn’t look the same for everyone and not everyone wants to be famous (I don’t!).

I’ve been journaling since 17 and I’m 40 now! I honestly think journaling has to be in you to do. It’s not a task it’s something that’s natural! The best way I can explain it! I have so many journals to date. I pick up my journal when there’s something I learned for that day. Or if I had a experience in since kind of way.
Just watched this, I journaled 30 years ago and when I moved 20 years ago and I found them. I thought I tossed them years ago. I started to read them and it wasn't fun. I burned them not reading them completely. It was to hard to read the hardship I went through at the time. Now 10 years later; I need to start journaling again just because it is good to get the garbage out of my head. ☺️
I watched many of Matthew's interviews with his book, "Green Lights" but this is definitely one where he buckles down and digs deep. Good job pulling that out of him AO. 👏

This was an amazing interview. I hope a lot of young people listen to this. Stewardship over your finances and resources is just as important obtaining them. Wealth will out last you. With wealth, you'll have enough to leave to future generations.
If it makes it easier to journal, structure it so you have sections you want to make entries into. That way you have consistent entry points. Use a template from Evernote, or as I do, you use Google forms so you can make the entries like a questionnaire and you can go back to reference it.
@ 22:30 In the world of film that is 100% so true, I never wanted to be an actor but was pulled into a few rolls over time just by being there because of who I knew and how I poised myself while there because while it was not want I wanted to do nor do now...I respected the craft, art and work that they did and it was reciprocated back to me. Ironically I always looked at life as being a game of chess, not checkers, long money vs. short money. Sometimes you need to make moves that wont pan out for 2 or 3 maybe even more years ahead but if you never make those moves, you'll never come close to what you feel is the WIN...but you gotta put in the work and the moves. At the end...you sure can tell he is still 100% Texan.

I like the 4 quarters! I am in that place in life where I invested in many but after major loss in my life, a sibling passing, those quarters were the ones that were blessings in a very difficult time of my life. Prayers answered in knowing who are I am blessed with as my quarters.
