Do you normally do Tixel first and then PRF Ez Gel or PRF EZ Gel first and then Tixel and how long should someone wait after PRF Ez Gel under eyes before they can incorporate Tixel for under eye wrinkles? • @drswatikannan
      @drswatikannan  3 месяца назад

      It won’t worsen it and can potentially help edema long term as prf causes collagen production and tightening. In the short term you can have more edema after treatment that can last longer than someone without malar edema but it goes away.

    • @drswatikannan
      @drswatikannan  Месяц назад

      Well it's collagen growth so your body breaks down collagen which happens at different rates. So the effect goes away anywhere from 6 months to 2 years.

  • @tammyvo8880
    @tammyvo8880 3 месяца назад +2

    Hello Dr.Kannan
    Which would be a better option for under hollowness and tear trough. PRF or fat grafting. On term of better out come and costs effective.
    Thank you!

    • @drswatikannan
      @drswatikannan  3 месяца назад +2

      Hi! Fat grafting replaces fat, and PRF causes collagen stimulation but doesn't replace fat. What you need depends on the severity of your tear troughs and the reason for your troughs. Fat grafting also contains stem cells which causes collagen stimulation theoretically as well. Fat grafting under the eye though needs to be done very carefully to avoid any lumps but it's more long lasting than PRF. Not everyone needs fat grafting and if you don't need, but get it done, it can look puffy and swollen and it's hard to fix once done if it doesn't look good. So pros/cons to each.

    I have skin laxity under my eyes as well as a lot of swelling three years since I was injected with Botox. This made my orbicularis weak and not able to pump my under eye fluid so it expanded my under eye skin and now the skin is lax. Do you think PRF can help tighten it at least a little ?

    • @drswatikannan
      @drswatikannan  7 месяцев назад +1

      It can tighten a little bit but PRF helps to build collagen and under eye skin laxity is due to multiple causes. Sometimes you need to mix PRF with other eye tightening modalities or need surgery.

    Hi Dr. Kannan, I have since had one injection of EZ-gel since my last question to you. Because I have bags, she injected my cheeks to sort of fill them to the point that they pulled down on the lower lid and relieved some of the crepey skin under the eye and also smoothed the bags a bit. She had a little left over and also did my lips. Now, 10 days later, it seems most of it was just swelling, as the bags are back and my cheeks and lips are just barely filled. I'm a bit worried that it will keep deflating although I am glad I am not as swollen as I was the first 3 days. Thing is, she said to come back in 3 months as it should last at least that long. I noticed that you say even EZ-gel should be done 3 times, once each month, and you also said there is no down time as it's a filler. Why did I look so swollen then? Even my lips looked ridiculous the first day. I do feel the lips and cheeks are fuller but just wondering if I should have done PRF for my eyes and would you have injected it into my tear troughs even if I have some bags with a bit of hollowness or do you agree with doing the cheeks only? I really appreciate your reply as I want to make another appointment but be more specific with what I want.

    • @drswatikannan
      @drswatikannan  9 дней назад

      You can get swelling after injection and for few patients, there could be swelling that can last a while. In my experience, it takes more than one treatment for long-term collagen production.

    Hello! I've had under eye bags for years. They are getting worse with age, no sleep, and allergies. I've had under eye filler and loved it. After I had a baby I began to nit pick myself and wanted a little bit in just one spot. SO I went to a different dr and he overfilled my eyes making them look worse. Almost a year later I had them dissolved (which was very scary bc of all the horror stories I've heard). I got sick afterwards and did not feel well. I hope I don't have any more problems doen the road. My eyes look like they did b4 now. Big bags. I found only 1 place in my area that offers prf microneedling and prf ezgel. Do you think they will help with under eye bags or which would be better? They also mentioned a method similar to morpheus I think they called it VRF skin reserfusing. I just didn't like that it had a longer downtime. So I'm not sure if I would do that now. What do you think is best for under eye bags besides surgery? Also I always get my chin filled and love it bc when I used to close my mouth it would wrinkle from the tension. BUT the last time I had it done thr lady did it very uneven. I was wondering if I could use exgel to even it out a bit instead of tiller. I was told to use filler dissolver and redue it, but I never want to get fillet dissolver again. Sorry for the long story. I just really don't know what to do. I was even thinking of just using a small microneedling treatments at home, led lights or microcurrent. Just not sure what to do now bc the last 3 treatments really scared me. I stopped going to my usual place bc they are really far and I moved. Thanks for the video!

    • @drswatikannan
      @drswatikannan  4 месяца назад

      Hey, PRF doesn't help too much as chin filler. I would dissolve it if it's uneven or go to someone else who's an expert (like board-certified derm or plastic surgeon who does cosmetics). PRF can help camouflage under eye bags but it depends on the severity of the undereye bags. As you stated, surgery is the best and long lasting treatment for under eye bags. Hope that helps.

      For your first question, that is correct. If you have an acute active infection, we usually don't recommend PRP or PRF. It would best to discuss with your physician prior to growth factor treatments.

    • @drswatikannan
      @drswatikannan  23 дня назад +1

      Albumin is a natural protein that circulates in the bloodstream so I’m not sure about vascular occlusions caused by protein. Easy gel can cause vascular occlusion as it’s a gel but it’s much less than hyaluronic acid fillers.

    I heard the volume from PRF and EZ gel goes away in about 6 months, way less than HA fillers. is this true ? :(

    • @drswatikannan
      @drswatikannan  Месяц назад

      Ez gel and PRF aren't technically fillers like HA fillers. They cause collagen stimulation whereas HA fillers add volume. PRF volumization is subtle and some people do need more maintenance treatments.

    Do you need several treatments of PRF before you see a difference? I don't see any after 1 PRF on face (after 3 months) and I'm not sure whether to continue? Thanks

    • @drswatikannan
      @drswatikannan  8 месяцев назад +2

      Yes I mention this in the video I think. Usually need several treatments before seeing a difference. And again patient selection is very important. If someone needs a lot of filler or volume replacement, PRF alone is too subtle.

      It depends. I dont know about Europe. PRF is a series of treatments so the total cost can be more expensive than hyaluronic acid fillers.

    I just had PRP under my eyes last month and I'm going for a 2nd PRP in March and maybe a 3rd in April, but after listening to your video I hope the money I'm spending is worth it. I know it's not a filler, but I just thought my under eyes would benefit by getting thicker, healthier skin with more elasticity under my eyes Etc, I am 59 and I have the circles under my eye causing hollows. My skin is great looking for 59 everywhere else just that eye area bothers me. I didn't want to have a regular filler at my age because I've been reading a lot. That fillers aren't so great for people over 50. So I thought this more natural approach would be better. My Doctor doesn't do PRF as of yet, just the PRP....will I notice a difference with PRP?

    • @drswatikannan
      @drswatikannan  4 месяца назад +1

      I think it's something you should discuss with the person doing your PRP. Everyone is different in terms of responses- some respond better than others. I do PRF for the under eyes but know several doctors who do PRP.

      I do notice even after the first treatment, I am so much happier how my makeup looks (no bags under the eyes), so maybe the next two treatments I get will be what I needed for me...I feel way more confident because I'm not feeling paranoid that every one is staring at the puffs under my eyes😅. Thanks!

      PRF is helpful for hollows. But if your under eye circles are from pigment, then PRF might help to camouflage but doesn't get rid of the dark color.

      I mainly use ez gel for thicker skin like the face and PRF for under eyes. EZ gel for under eyes can be used as well but it's more time consuming to make solely for under eyes. The results would be similar between the two for under eyes. For face, EZ gel is better.

      Since you can’t clot as well, the results may not be as good since the clot is what allows the growth factors to be released slowly. But you might still see some improvement. It just hasn’t been studied for us to know for sure how clotting disorders affect PRF.
