He decided to move his family & business to Europe and sent his family ahead while he dealt with some of the difficulties of his business in the States. On the sea voyage, the ship carrying his family was struck by another ship and his four daughters were lost at sea. His wife survived and she sent him a message letting him know what had happened. He left to join her and as his ship passed the area where his daughters had all died, he felt inspired to write the song "It is Well," which is referenced in this beautiful MercyMe song.

It's a great song for those who need it. The biopsy eventually came back negative after 8 weeks of testing, waiting, retesting and more waiting.

This song was playing on my phone as the airplane pulled away from the gate in New Orleans in 2017. It was my first time ever on a plane! My destination was Tampa, Florida. You see, I had just been diagnosed with Thyroid cancer for the 2nd time in less than 3 years. There was a doctor in Tampa that took my case. My life saving surgery/treatment did not come without complications BUT it was this song and “Oh My Soul” by Casting Crowns that reminded me at my lowest points, He was still on the throne above all else. I still get chills when I hear this song!
I'm a huge fan of all types of music and I'm a singer, I love Mandisa, she's amazing, I went to a concert to see her and she was opening for Casting Crowns. I suffer from a fatal lung disease and decided to go see a show at red rocks amphitheater in Denver Colorado to check off my bucket list. I'd heard how beautiful it was, I didn't think about seating because most places have elevators, the have ramps to lower seating, but that's it. We had to climb down to our seats, knowing we have to get back up then. I heard this song for the first time that night, and I fell in love, I sat there in tears, knowing God had me right where I needed to be. It was a struggle, but I made it out of there and I felt so strong, but with his power. Mark, the lead singer was going through his own cancer scare when he wrote it. Was refreshing watching you get blessed by it. Keep it up.

In all honesty I didn't actually care for this song when I 1st heard it back when it came out, but for whatever reason it kept on mixing itself in to my playlists and after the 4th or 5th time I heard it I finally understood the message, and it was the most beautiful song I had ever heard, there is power in songs like this because they are inspired by the Lord, and are therefore sung for the Lord. When you have the Holy spirit flowing through you, music like this, strikes a different cord within us, it's truth and sincerity, and it's love unmatched, and more importantly it's love, unconditional! I listened to this song shortly after my faith had been fully restored and other parts of my life were falling apart... God is so Good! I did a Bible study that lead me to pray to God on these problems and that no matter what happens, I love you God, and I put my trust in you... this song got me through a dark and frightening time. I had a series of infections in my feet that required several operations. There was no guarantee that I would still have feet . She was in remission for 10 months, we had just finished celebrating the Holidays and her health. That day i got the call, i had to pull over and cry, after a while i was able to drive again, i turned on the radio Way-FM station and this song came on. I had to pull over again....I was in tears...this song is so emotional for me. i'm glad you liked it its a powerful song.

God is so awesome! He will and can preserve blessings as though they are new. I can only imagine is about 15 years old and have been re-recorded at least 5 times. Mercy Me done it over twice before the movie was thought of. When God has blessings for us it always come at the right time. Everytime I hear I can only imagine it seems for that storm. It never gets old. And Even...omg...helped me get through the passing of my mom. They have won Dove Awards for I can only Imagine. I love these brothers in Christ. Their hearts are definitely connnected to the Spirit of Christ.

I hung on to this song as my grandson was dying of a fatal genetic disease. He passed away over a month ago. I still cling to the Father. It wasn't His will to heal my grandson, but He is still God, He is still on the throne, and He is still good.

In all honesty I didn't actually care for this song when I 1st heard it back when it came out, but for whatever reason it kept on mixing itself in to my playlists and after the 4th or 5th time I heard it I finally understood the message, and it was the most beautiful song I had ever heard, there is power in songs like this because they are inspired by the Lord, and are therefore sung for the Lord. When you have the Holy spirit flowing through you, music like this, strikes a different cord within us, it's truth and sincerity, and it's love unmatched, and more importantly it's love, unconditional!

Mercy Me sings a song that was my grandmother's favorite the year they came out with I can only imagine was the same year my grandmother died in December and it was her favorite song and I left town after she died and I couldn't figure out that song for everything it was about 10 years later and it just hit me all of a sudden and I just broke down and cried because now I can finally hear my grandmother's favorite song again and I will tell my RUclips playlist so I hear it every day at work

The first time I heard this song was at their concert at Great Adventure in NJ. They had the words on the screen and Billy's reaction was mine, but with tears. By the end I was "ugly-crying", this song broke me and healed me at the same time. God is so good!

I listened to this song shortly after my faith had been fully restored and other parts of my life were falling apart... God is so Good! I did a Bible study that lead me to pray to God on these problems and that no matter what happens, I love you God, and I put my trust in you... God was so gracious that when all my hope was lost, He restored it and my groans! Praise God in all things! Amen!
this song got me through a dark and frightening time. I had a series of infections in my feet that required several operations. There was no guarantee that I would still have feet . The first time I heard this song I was driving to work and I received a call that my Sister-in-law's brain cancer returned. She was in remission for 10 months, we had just finished celebrating the Holidays and her health. That day i got the call, i had to pull over and cry, after a while i was able to drive again, i turned on the radio Way-FM station and this song came on. I had to pull over again....I was in tears...this song is so emotional for me.

God is so awesome! He will and can preserve blessings as though they are new. I can only imagine is about 15 years old and have been re-recorded at least 5 times. Mercy Me done it over twice before the movie was thought of. When God has blessings for us it always come at the right time. Everytime I hear I can only imagine it seems for that storm. It never gets old. And Even...omg...helped me get through the passing of my mom. They have won Dove Awards for I can only Imagine. I love these brothers in Christ. Their hearts are definitely connnected to the Spirit of Christ.

I work where I pray for people 5 days a week. And there have been many of days to where I have went through my own personal trials and had to go to work to pray for other people that are hurting as well . And the part where he says night after night I stand on the stage to remind the broken that it will be alright. I have to fill that space & say day after day I sit at this desk reminding the broken that they will be alright . EVEN when I am facing my own battles . TO know that as long as I am denying myself . He will make ALL things right .. Thanks for sharing this.

Its easy to put on the strong mode but it hard to let it go and let others see us in our real shelf. Let go and be healed. Confessing to others is the beginning of your turn around.
