Unfortunately, it is a dying business and the YoY drop in mp3 purchases world wide is too large to sustain operational cost of running it. Streaming is the way forward. Don't expect purchasing music to be better in the future unless there's a dramatic shift in the licensing deals.
Amazon didn’t use to be this difficult to purchase and download music! I’ve been on there for 1 hour and still can’t hence why I’m on RUclips looking for help.
Did you ever find a way to buy a song like maybe with another site? Im so frustrated trying to do nay of this on Amazon. LMK if you found an alternative. Thanks so much!
So apparently some songs you can buy & others are only available with the stupid streaming service. Any suggestions of other places to go to purchase an mp3 of a song besides Amazon?
I agree Michael! They are always trying to push their subscription. Unfortunately, I think this will become a bigger problem as they are already adding ads to their Prime Video service, which use to not have ads and I'm thinking they will probably look for a way to monetize their music service more as well.
It appears that Amazon removed the ability to listen to an excerpt of the song you want to purchase to make sure you are purchasing the right version of the song.
Great tutorial. I used to do this all the time before I started streaming all of my music. The best part is I still have all of those songs available. 😁
Thanks for your kind feedback. Its such a wierd time we live in. Sometimes I wonder if I'm the only one who buys music. 😅 But I do enjoy streaming and thats actually how I find the music I want to buy. I wonder if anyone has done a poll on this kind of thing? The results would be interesting. 🙂
@@TechCrackedWeekly I think streaming makes it so much easier since it's essentially "all you can eat". If a person ever decides they want to listen to classical instead of their normal jazz, it's all right at their fingertips.
That is most certainly a valid point and I love the comparison to an "all you can eat buffet" because it is very true! Haha. Sometimes it's so much "food" we don't know what to consume first. A bit overwhelming surely sometimes. I agree most certainly. 🙂
Amazon Music sucks! When you find an album that you like and try to sample (play) a song THERE, you can't. You have put it on your playlist. Then you go to that playlist and you still can't play it there? When you click on it on your play list, it plays some other song? They don't make it easy. It should be that when you find an album, click on the song and play the damn song THERE! If you like it than download it THERE! It's so freaking easy, yet they complicate it.
Hi Pamela! Thanks for stopping by and giving feedback! I totally agree! I truly think this is done intentionally to get people to subscribe to the music streaming service. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like the process changed all that much since this video was published. Thanks again for stopping by!

I used to spend tons of money on mp3 purchases. Makes no sense why they would stop the convenience. I haven't purchased music in years.
Unfortunately, it is a dying business and the YoY drop in mp3 purchases world wide is too large to sustain operational cost of running it. Streaming is the way forward. Don't expect purchasing music to be better in the future unless there's a dramatic shift in the licensing deals.

I didnt see in the video on how u can transfer the song to ur phone
I'm currently trying to do this and the purchase option does not show up. Did something change? Why can't I find a way to purchase MP3s?
The purchase option doesn't show up for me either.

Bandcamp has some great options, not as extensive as Amazon though 😭
THANK YOU. that worked. I've been trying for almost an hour. YOU ROCK!!
You're welcome!
Thank you dude. I'm wondering if I can then burn it to a CD. My car is old school. I'll check it out.
Thanks good needed video, Amazon has made it a nightmare to buy mp3 songs, trying to push there silly podcast etc..

Doesn't work. Click on the right song; it plays/downloads the wrong one.
No 'Buy MP3 song' option.
Is the process the same with spotify cause there's a tab on samsung music
That's correct. There is a Spotify tab. I haven't had enough time to experiment with it yet, though. 🙂
How do you re download on a new device?
It appears that Amazon removed the ability to listen to an excerpt of the song you want to purchase to make sure you are purchasing the right version of the song.
Thank you. This helped greatly!
Thanks for helping me out!
Now I know that I have to get a laptop soon because they won't let you purchase from your phone.

Amazon doesnt allow Brazilians to buy music anymore. Im so pissed off. I no longer want to use streaming services. They suck.
Your Tutorial link is distracting because it is in constant motion which takes me away from your content.
Good video. Dumb that the music industry makes this simple task to unnecessarily unintuitive.
Boring and long winded. You shouldn't have to do any searching. Just a couple clicks and there's my purchased music.
