I’m from Virginia I’m a pre school teacher I’m working on my tefl certification. I’m interested in Esl and online teaching. I like watching your videos . I’m thinking about applying to Cambly first to get some experience
Now the comments are showing-thanks! A question for you: I'm a busy university prof in Taiwan & a busy online teacher. I plan to retire in July 2026, so I want to add just 1 new online student per month for now as I want to build my business, but not be stressed! Any thoughts or suggestions?
@ I’m asking for referrals and guesstimating that frequent requests for referrals will yield a Goldilocks-style supply of new students-just right! Only one 1️⃣ per month
I'm currently snowbound in Missoula, Montana, sitting by the fire and surfing the web. My first job after college was teaching 11th and 12th grade English. It wasn't exactly ESL, but my students were attending technical school and came back to the main campus for English, Math and Phys. Ed. classes. While teaching was satisfying, the salary was not so I moved on and applied my skills to marketing, sales and public relations. Are there ESL clients who would be interested in learning the language of business?
When online teaching, you need to follow copyright since you are a for-profit business. You need permission from the publisher to use the book in your classes or you’ll need to require your students to have their own copy of the book. Since this can get complicated, it may be easier to purchase a commercial license for an ESL curriculum through websites like ESL Brains, Off2Class, etc.
@ You are welcome, a degree and certification is always a plus, and just try to stay consistent, because it can be easy to give up especially in the marketplace, but even with companies sometimes.
@@ESLTeacher365Thanks for your response, So how can I get students and how can I build my English teaching business, do you have any suggestions for me ?
@@AmanGupta-ki3kp I have some videos on my channel on how to do this and also offer a free guide on how to get started which is linked in the video description.

Yes, Business English is a fantastic niche. You can teach it on marketplaces or as a freelancer.
Thanks, very useful webinar. You actually look like a ballet dancer, if there is an actual look. V pretty!
If I have a physical book which I want to share with an online student, how can I do that so we’re both looking at the same text or pictures?

@ There is a lot of competition.
Thanks for your response .
Do you know how can I beat the competition?
