That's awesome that they supply the lesson materials! That was the biggest challenge for me when I was an English teacher in Cambodia. The classes that had text books and work books were fun to teach, but then my other classes I had to do the lesson planning from scratch with no materials provided to me and it was so stressful.

How long did it take for you to do the onboarding. It is taking me a little while to get through. Is there a time limit on it. I seem to be doing all the microcourses too etc is that correct should do that before you finish the onboarding.
Interesting that although you can start immediately, they only pay monthly. So if you need to get paid quickly, then this platform probably isn't for you
Can a teacher possibly have 6 to 8 classes in a day if they wish? I mean except in January and August. I'm a bit worried about the number of classes being too low. Is having 6 to 8 classes/day realistic? (3-4 hrs a day)
very good i think, i am currently doing the TEFL so i thought naturally will be great, but i got stuck in the application form where you have to add a bill or something that has your name link to the address, I am currently living at my grandmother's home so i am not involved in any payment, although i help with the bills there are not in my name. what is the next step? seams very tricky to contact them to check what can be done about it or anything really, the IA chat is very limited, you ask a question and tells you what to do and the chat gets close right away as a resolve issue. thanks!
Yes this is the best way IMO since you can live in places where the conversation rate is better. For ex The average worker in Philippines make 15 usd a day where we would be making this in one hour
I sent in my application got a price offer then submitted my video task but have not heard anything back yet after the two weeks I tried contacting “support or the Twenix team “ and they told me I will receive an email if I “got it or not.” It’s been about 2 months now and haven’t heard back. Not sure what I should do? I was thinking I resend my application under a new name and also redo the demo lesson but not sure if that’s a good idea? Maybe my they are still considering me and re applying could have a negative effect on my first application. Any tips would be helpful. 🙏🏽😄
You keep saying, you can start using the platform once you get accepted from day 1......but the problem is the process of being accepted, man, you mentioned there are modules to check on to, right? So the process could tough. How do you encourage applicants to persevere in their application? Any tips? Motivate applicants pls. I saw frustrated moments here with Twenix not replying to them even went to 2 months of waiting, what does that mean? They ignored the applicant? Or just lazy to reply to all applicants?
It depends on where you’re from and what your currency is. It’s more than minimum wage for Canadians! Because of the exchange rate it actually pays more than my old job in Canada and I can do it from home.
Yeah if you live in a ig city like USA NYC where I'm from but the ideal situation is to live somewhere else then the pay is better. I'll live in Philippines so the wage is great
Im in the UK and I was wondering can you tell me what time the classes can be in the day for UK. I want to work when my kids are at school so can you get lessons between 9am-3pm UK time do you know.Thanks
Hey you don’t need a headset for the classes as long as you have a quiet spot! I just recorded it with Photobooth on my MacBook! I’m sure you could just record it with whatever webcam you have or on your phone and then upload it. The lessons are usually in the mornings and evenings in Spain/Italy - I’m not sure how to calculate the time difference for the UK but people also do take classes mid day since the classes are often covered by their workplace.
I file my taxes as a freelancer in general so I didn’t even think twice about this. I’ve been freelancing for 10 years! But as the other commenter mentioned, I believe they’re just ensuring that you understand you have to claim your own taxes and that youre not an employee of Twenix

Thanks for this video - I don't understand the chat and corrections aspect of Twenix, do I have to be on a chat while on a video call with a student?!
Yes it’s similar to Zoom where the chat is on the side of the screen

Last time I checked Federal minimum wage was $7.25.

I don’t know for sure but I assume it’s because your residency affects your pay.

On the application I saw a requirement to be a registered freelancer in your country? Is the something you had to do or have more info about?
Yes, when I applied, they wanted to ensure that you're self-employed as you're not hired by the company, solely a sub-contractor.
