Why is there several styles of 4x4 hubs for the dana 44? Theres big hub. Then a slimmer hub thats smooth, and then hubs like this truck that have a longer locking cap.
This is a open knuckle “big hub” Dana 44 disc front axle, which was all they ran on 3/4 4x4 from 1971-76. Lots of different styles of lockouts for these axles. … After that they went to the small Hub 44 lame square axles.
