your tutorials the best fr , because watching other people just mix or explain how to mix doesn’t help that much, but when YOU explain How and WHY you do certain stuff it’s a lot more understandable

Hi, great tutorial but I’m having one issue that I can’t seem to find a fix for. I’ve got a setup in my bedroom that I record my vocals with and no matter how much I try to mix my vocals I can never seem to get rid of the static sound. I’ve used limiter, noise gate and eq but it’s always there. Im thinking maybe it’s just my environment in general because the mix itself sounds very good but it’s just the static/background noise I can’t get rid of. Any advice would be appropriated! Thanks
You probably need a better microphone bro. Sounds like a mic problem. Which one do you use?
@@BROADWAYBU thanks for the reply man, I currently use Audio-Technica AT2020 and had a feeling it was the mic cause it is only a budget one, u got any recommendations that aren’t a super high price? I know u get what u pay for but Ive not got a crazy budget just yet
@@bayour8739 well currently I’m using the RODE NT1KIT Condenser Microphone. It’s dope, it’s really quiet also. Picks up bass well and doesn’t sound nasty in the recording. It’s gonna run you about $300 though 😮💨.
Try to use the eq in a bus and take the hipass filter to around 1khz, 48db
