Ok so I have been making music for about year now, I started on FL studio have a idea of what everything does and how to use it. I just got a Mac and Logic and im watching all the videos to learn the software I shit you not probably 40 videos so far, you are hands down the best person to explain everything. Awesome explanation of Compression. You're a great teacher. This was definitely a PRO tutorial. Have not seen not one video on YT explained it the way you did. Much thank you.
Just some extra notes below for those who needs it :)
1.Headroom is the available space in dB (decibels) between your loudest peak level (transients) and 0 dBFS (decibels full scale). It's a buffer you leave unused.
2.The *GRAPH* is the *Meter Level* which corresponds with *RATIO* settings, which then corresponds with the *THRESHOLD.*
3. *ATTACK* - How quickly you want the compression to FADE IN - *RELEASE* - How quickly you want the compression to FADE OUT - just another way to process the concept of Attack & Release.
