Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is in my opinion is one of if not the greatest dragon ball Z game ever created... and I thought I'd go back and review it.. Because why not really?

@Blur surly he means Tebkaichi 3 though, considering it is widely considered the best in the series. I could be mistaken though but that was my thought.

Pretty stoked. Last game I played was B3. Also haven't watched DBZ in nearly 20 years and just started watching it with my chick. It's great... especially not having to wait to watch the next episode... or not having to take sleeping shifts with my brother to wake up at 1300 to watch an episode with the volume turned down to 1.

I personally think it's fighterz and karakot..the gameplay in karakot is so smooth once you get the hang of it..and fighterz is just fun with a high skill ceiling..Idk why but the controls just feel off in xenoverse for me..on top of the battles with multiple ai being a mess.. should have been more one on one fights

I don't like how the controllers were for Dragonball Z FighterZ was.It was way to hard to do a do a Special move and I couldn't stand that. And I didn't like how it did not have a story mode either that was mad corny !
For me, it was just too similar to the first one and as for the base game without buying the dlc, there is much to do but after completing the story and the parallel quest it just becomes boring and it comes repetitive. If i were to get the dlc i would come back but idk if i want to pay for dlc

I just got Kakarot and am enjoying it a lot! How does this game compare? Will I also enjoy it ? The combat looks kind of similar to me
They're kinda two separate styles of games in my opinion. Kakarot is more RPG where this is a bit more destiny-esq but unsure on the player base

Tbh kakarot is 10x better than this game if you take the same concept of multiplayer in XenoVerse and just copy and paste it to kakarot it would be the best without a doubt hopefully we'll see it in the future
Kakarot is more story based and more visual imo
I just got to this game because of the endorsement from DB the Breakers. So far this game is really good, and 7 years of support is awesome and I don't think that they will stop supporting this anytime soon because they are even planning to change their paid currency from TP this May 2024.
And since you love dragon ball, do you also happen to play DB the breakers?
Waiting for the complete edition for Xenoverse 2 to come out featurin all the DLC...if I buy the game right now then I gotta buy all the extra DLC

If you want balanced gameplay play fighterZ, if you want to relive the story go with Kakarot. However Xenoverse 2 is the best game in terms of content, gameplay is also fun but needs some balancing

I used to play a lot of DBZ when I was younger, and recently got back into it through DBZ Kakarot, as Xenoverse 2 is currently on sale, is it worth it to still buy this in 2023 (or 2024 should I say)
The biggest questions that remain for me are:
- How much longer will they support the multiplayer functionality (and is it even noteworthy?)
- Is the story exactly the same as in other dbz games? (as in, you fight vegeta, cell, frieza, buu) or is there more to it?
- As this is also not the most recent game in the series, I seem to be getting the feeling that a lot of people prefer FighterZ, what are the biggest differences between these 2 games? (besides FighterZ being mostly 2D if I'm right)
On a side note, first time coming to the channel and really like the vid, keep it up!

- yup I believe they're still making content for it. We got the DB super heroes dlc for it recently plus some more events
- you do replay the DBZ story, but you play as your own character and stop people trying to mess up the timeline. Think of it a bit like the TVA from the loki TV series if you will - but dragon ball
- it's not the most recent game. FighterZ is like marvel vs Capcom side scroller pick 3 fighters where this is a 3rd person fighter

I never understood why people make more then 7 cacs... Everything about a cac can be changed with the dragon balls except for the name.... Like literally EVERYTHING
Raditz shouldn't be the first guy you fight but the tutorial boss fight at least....
Oh man sir- I hate to do it but those aren't the old school figures. They were called Battle Collection and has several years of collections. These are during the mainstream later Funimation days where the figures had a bunch of articulation and movement. Our figures were stiff af and could only move their arms up and down- typically had a break away garment. I even had the rarer Goku with different heads you could swap out. This was in the 90s still where drsgonball had a specialty store that was called dragonballzspecialtystore. Enjoyed your video thoroughly but totally laughed out loud when I saw those newer toys you called old school 😂
Haha yeah as a kit I had a Goku that had his shirt split into two pieces but in AUS they were on the shelf for a hot minute then those other ones came up

when opponents try to launch ultimate attack on you you can hold Y to punch them hard and it stops them from performing the ultimate

Can't remember if i played X or X2, but i remember playing one of these and really liking it. I think i like Kakarot, more, but either way I'm terrible at both games and don't make it super far. 😅

As someone that has watched like a season and a half of DBZ, should I play something like Kakarot first?
Ohh good question. In my opinion I'd say watch the rest of the TV show haha - but yeah I'd say Kakarot then, as it's closer to the TV show than any other game, but it's not 100% accurate (for example you can fly when fighting Radditz in the game, but can't fly when in free roam)
Kakarot is boring as hell my guy, but at least it looks good 🤷♂️
Newest arena fighter + character customization doesn't make Xenoverse 2 the best DBZ game. If we went by that logic, Ultimate Tenkaichi wouold be a staple of the series but it's objectively a bad game even if I personally like it.
I've been playing XV2 since 2018 and done just about everything the game has to offer on both PS4 and PC, so take it from me; Xenoverse 2 isn't anywhere close to being the best DBZ game. It has the most up to date content by far, but anything Xenoverse 2 has you can easily get by modding an emulated copy of Budokai Tenkaichi 3 or modding Kakarot- which, by the way, has a modding scene that's progressing VERY rapidly.
I personally think it truly is one of the best dragon ball games and I recommend it to anybody who has even a little interest in dragon ball.
I love Xenoverse a ton but it got kinda old after a while since I don’t like the pvp much and my friends wouldn’t get it to mess around in

So im playing zenovers 2 the last mission frieza saga it feels like im playing against a player a can barely beat or like the diificulty setting has bee set up to hardest difficulty. Wtf?
Yeah it ramps up - Rate doing tougher side missions, get new abilities and items

my best pvp finish ever was countering someone's ultimate beam with that tornado attack...i cant describe the epicness of it ,you would have to have been there.
There was nothing better than pulling off moves and counters that felt like they were pulled straight from the show where it'd have you opponent stunned!
Bro my favorite win was in a party with one of my best friends and this guy he met online he said was really good . Long story short we 1v1d w my friend spectating and I anticipated this guy being legit so I let him beat me tf up till I was almost dead an body switched him . Idk how he got hit by it but it was so lit when he did my homie was flabbergasted and I was laughing my @ss off 😂😂 . The other dude was so mad but low-key gave me props 🤣

Bt2 and Bt3 are by far better than xv2.... combat is deeper and fluid and feels right xv2 combat feels jank... Who cares about CACs....
yeah no stress my dude, all personal opinions. Found Budokai 3 was rad, but didn't have much of a shelf life where Xenoverse 2 I can make multiple characters and playstyles

Not too sure my dude but it's pretty fun solo in my opinion
Id say Xenoverse 2 is the best modern dragonball game when it comes to immersing players in the world of Dragonball and it currently has the largest roster if you include dlc, until Sparking zero comes out that is. However, the combat in Xenoverse feels very stiff, the netcode sucks, and the balancing is atrocious, the game also gets incredibly boring after awhile as a majority of the content is just grinding Parallel quests for gear and skills or doing raids.
Pvp wise the game is really just meh. Meta is terrible and revolves around who gets a stamina break first followed by a super that deletes 80% of your health bar.
Kakarot is the best way to rexperience DBZ but gameplay wise its pretty bad. Weak RPG elements, and no real depth whatsoever to the combat since you just button mash, and I found the open world to be relatively boring.
FighterZ is great and does it's job perfectly for a 2d fighting game, but its not as immersive as Xenoverse. If you're playing FighterZ you're playing it because you're a fan of 2d fighting games and you're a fan of dragonball, you're probably not playing it to get immersed into the world of the series.
Personally I dont think this game holds a candle to the budokai tenkaichi series when it comes to gameplay. Making a CAC is cool but the BT series basically perfected dragonball combat, which is why Sparking Zero is currently and objectively the most hyped anime game of all time.
Played a little of it for PS3 but PS4 is much better and enjoying it.

I bought it and almost instantly refunded after seeing how small the maps were and how limited the combo system was made, with no spectacle to at least back it up like with Kakarot.

@@MarcoD.Salvador idk if they're doing Xenoverse 3. They just added some dlc to Xenoverse 2 and that dead by daylight style game that's sorta part of Xenoverse 2.

On xbox its pretty dead unfortantly the biggest playerbases are playstation and switch...its actually really active idk why its not on xbox tho tried it my self on xbox it felt like ghost town, if u have switch and lan adapter or ps4/5 play there instead oh and on steam its dead too
