We test drove the lynx as well as three other hobie peddle kayaks at the same location. The Hobie lynx was outstanding. We loved everything about it. Lightweight, easy to peddle, turned quickly and easily, and has reverse. We added our name to the wait list for 2 lynx kayaks but may have to wait a couple months as they are currently not available in our market.

This is friggin' awesome! They really put some thought into the design. The fact that you don't have to worry about snapping your rudder off in shallow water is so key. The seat and pedal controls look really comfortable also. Would love to take it out for a test ride and catch some fish. Have a good fellas, CHEERS!

And out hobbies are 2021 models we love our outback’s but the Lynx is hard to turn away from because of the potential for easy travel and storage.

My favorite thing about kayaks are portability. I’ve taken mine from Kentucky to Florida, and all stops in between. I couldn’t afford to do that with a big boat.

If you don’t know how to setup an LLC or other business stuff just ask. We used ZenBusiness to get our LLC set up. Took maybe 30mins to apply. Cost was about $275. Then need to sign up with your state department of revenue for sales tax. I collect 6% sales tax for Florida and 0.5% tax for my county (6.5% total). I pay sales tax quarterly. Then you need to see if your city has a business tax receipt that has to be paid to conduct business in the area (mine was $76 annually). Shop around for insurance options. Those vary by location. Make up liability form. Website is important but best advertising is a free Google business listing which puts you on maps and allows folks to write reviews. Hope this message helps you out bro. 😊🤙
I love the sit on top kyaks makes it easier to fish or abandoned ship much faster than trying to crawl out of a cocoon when faced with a difficult option.
I gave this video a thumbs up, not only to enter any future contests, but because this kayak has ALL of my favorite features. Stability, speed, durability, multi-functional built-in from the factory with things like a sail kit and a shade. Now if they can just add a system for a sleeping hammock I think I could live aboard it. :-) of course I'll need some of those sweet water shoes and those durable and good-looking sunglasses to make it a long-term liveaboard. Thank you for the great video!
I’ve been investigating the purchase of a kayak. I’m 67 and have decided that for safety sake I will want / need an electric motor in case I overdo it while fishing or exploring around any lake in my area. I like this kayak and have it on my top three list.
As a Bigger Guy I wish the Payload was a little higher 350 when a guy is 250 leaves no room for gear - Bump it to 12' and get the payload up to 400 or more big People love kayaks too
Nice boat, I want to see it preform in 2-3 foot waves. Not everywhere you go is glass smooth on the surface. Please repost with some wave action, and how it handles fishing in a slight chop. So much more to demo, the trolling motor overall performance, the anchor system, and demo how it sails. Demo transporting it with the wheel carrier system and carrying the boat by hand. Thank you.
I never used a kayak b4. I am 70 and would like to rent one and see if I can manage operating one. Lord's knows I need the exercise and human interaction with others. I am most impressed 2ith the peddle system. Thank you for the.video. It is a great review.
It is very easy leg movement. I think you could easily manage. If you think it will be difficult getting it in and out of the water look into their inflatable iTrek 9 pedal kayak… it is insanely lightweight and portable. This kayak in video is about the lightest and best pedal kayak in terms of “non-inflatables”.

I am on the brink of purchasing my first kayak(s) for my wife and I. This one seems to be the cat's meow! Really like the stability and the engineering that has gone into the features. The sail option is cool too. Thanks for taking the time to put this video together!
Titanic had bulkheads with empty air space.....Lynx has foam core. Titanic failed because enough water could enter the hull to sink it via failed bulkhead compartments. Lynx absolutely could never get enough water into the hull to sink it. It will always remain positively buoyant. However, I understand the skepticism and I certainly take notes from history. haha

The Lynx is built more durable than any other pedal kayak I have seen by using Ace-Tec construction. The Lynx has a foam core which prevents water from getting into the hull and it makes the deck incredibly rigid. Yeah, not for me. It's an outstanding machinery however it defeats the purpose of the exercise. If I want to pedal, I take out my road bike and do a ride. If I want to row, I take out my kayak and start rowing. Different types of movements. Still nice to see it though :)
I loved how easy it seems to be able set up fast! Not needing to use a cart set up is another big bonus but I realize that I would probably have to make a 2nd trip back to vehicle for beverage container.

As always, I never know how I would fit on/in things that are made for 'average' sized folks?! In the video, it was stated that the pedals are adjustable for different leg sizes?! How much adjustment? I'm 6' 5" tall and had a hell of a time finding a 'sit in' sea-kayak that would fit my 36" inseam. Please elaborate on the length of adjustment of the pedals and the height range of folks that this boat may fit. Thanks.
So is a kayak unless you get in a really good first whack with your paddle. If a gator tips you over in a Kayak, he'll be happy to just take a big bite of your upper torso, maybe just remove your intestines. Kayak of any design is not a good choice for gator occupied water unless you have a death wish. You need some gunnel height.
The part I love the most is the electric motor adaptor. My husband is handicap and tries to fish alot of smaller waters and this would be the answer to his dream fishing kayak
Nice, you upped up your product. I like that it is light, it goes fast, easy to transport, easy to maneuver, turns sharp, sail and motor could be added, it could take alot of abuse, would be great for river and lake use. It would be a good compliment to my other hobbie kayak. It would fly with a sail I am sure.
I’m able to stand & sit but not pedal due to chronic nerve pain from an accident & surgeries. So, along with everything this has to offer, my favorite feature has to be that it has the electric trolling motor with floating battery! Plus the 10 hour run time will run longer than I can! Newly relocated with my newly retired wife to the South Carolina Beach, we have nearby access not only to the ocean but also inlet marsh areas and the intracoastal waterway! I love to fish & my wife loves the sun & water. She rides her bike which helps with her ACL problems. I’d use the motor while she absolutely love to pedal!
This Kayak is a game changer, I was so excited by watching this video that I have decided to get it. I love all the accessories coming with it and my favorite is the motor. Thank you for presenting this kayak.
Wow, I have to admit I am in love with Hobie. This Mirage Lynx kayak seems like the best for for me in size, maneuverability and weight. I would probably still use the wheel cart to help me, but that's ok! I also LOVE the options that come with it. First one, SAIL!
Man I love to see good Creativity unleashed like this. I love how you guys have thought thru so many cross features to make all the add ons possible. Good show.
Pond, River or Lake, that Hobie Mirage Lynx looks like a lot of fun and with the exercise you get from peddling is great for you and the environment as well. You'll be able to get into places where big bass lurk without having to worry about damaging an outboard motor or even a trolling motor. I understand you can get an electric motor too, but that would take the fun out of being able to sneak into bass country. Great looking product.

Hobie Mirage Lynx is significantly lighter than the Hobie Outback, Vibe Shearwater, & of course the Hobie Pro Angler. The Lynx is built more durable than any other pedal kayak I have seen by using Ace-Tec construction. The Lynx has a foam core which prevents water from getting into the hull and it makes the deck incredibly rigid. Lynx is going to be very popular with kayak rental businesses due to stackable design, unsinkable design, performance, and DURABILITY!

👓 It is great to wear a sunglasses which reduce eye fatigue on the water during fishing and kayaking events^_^🏄🏻♀️ 🚣🏻♀️
What I love in a kayak is stability, and this Hobie looks like it's top of the line stable.
That is hardly a kayak. It’s a boat with pedals on it.
Yeah, not for me. It's an outstanding machinery however it defeats the purpose of the exercise. If I want to pedal, I take out my road bike and do a ride. If I want to row, I take out my kayak and start rowing. Different types of movements. Still nice to see it though :)
costs as much as one

Thanks.
Thanks for the links. I have been looking for some good water shoes. I’m done buying the ones from Walmart!! Hahaha
I was seriously considering the Blue Sky Boatworks kayak, but after this video, my mind is changing.
The last time someone said that their boat was unsinkable, it didn't end well.😂
Haha. True…we can learn from history. The titanic wasn’t foam core. 😉😂
Best Lynx review I have seen. Got my preorder in! Hope to get one for som fall fishing.
Kayak, nope, more like an SUP and hate that you don’t sit inside it. Perfect vehicle for an alligator to get on.
That’s not a kayak by my definition. That’s a paddle board with a seat.
The weight alone makes it so easy to transport plus in shallow water fins and rudder pop up when hit. Looks super comfortable. Fantastic
It looks good testing in a bath tub
Now LETS TAKE IT TO THE OCEAN 🌊
TO SEE IF CAN HANDLE SOME WAVES
😂😂😂😂🤪💩💩👍🏻
Excellent idea!
I used a hobie kayak with this propulsion system back in 2006 and loved it! This new version with Ace-Tek construction is a phenomenal value.
I love this pedal model, never thought I'd buy a kayak, but this changed my mind.
Love Hobie products. I used to sail a Hobie 16 all the time when I was a teenager. I think my favorite thing about this Lynx is the sail kit.
I have bad back issues and this kayak is incredible between pedals and motor available is perfect for me!
This Kayak is a game changer, I was so excited by watching this video that I have decided to get it. I love all the accessories coming with it and my favorite is the motor. Thank you for presenting this kayak.
i like everything about kayaking, the freedom, the fun, the water and sunshine.
Wow, I have to admit I am in love with Hobie. This Mirage Lynx kayak seems like the best for for me in size, maneuverability and weight. I would probably still use the wheel cart to help me, but that's ok! I also LOVE the options that come with it. First one, SAIL!
Fantastic options for someone who may have leg issues or even leg disabilities! Nice, unsinkable craft!
I was looking for light as I get older and wanted to up grade my lure 11.5 v2. This is it. Great stuff. First time and now subscribed
I'm impressed with THE WHOLE PACKAGE! Never even knew such kayaks existed. Seriously, WOW!
I have a Blufin SUP with a foldup seat. For kayak mode but is sits right on the wet deck, so I love the chair on the Hobie!
Kayaking on quiet lake away from everyone is totally awesome when you get out there and start to drift with the wind.
Looks like Florida around Eustis.
The purpose of a Kyack isn't for peddling (that's a boat) but for running rapids
There's no rapids here and everyone has a kayak.
My family and I were there two summers ago and I swear I saw one of these there and was so impressed I was wanting to take one home.
Love the video.
favorite feature in a kayak is a comfy seat. after doing a 4 day kayak trip i have learned that it is so important for the lower back!
Man I love to see good Creativity unleashed like this. I love how you guys have thought thru so many cross features to make all the add ons possible. Good show.
I love that turning radius! Smooth like butter. I'd love to have one of these when I get stationed in the Med.
