He showed the world, he showed the judge and the jury and the world believed him. We believe victims not the clowns pretending to be one. This woman set back real victims with her false accusations and now has paid the price not just with money but with her credibility, it's a true lesson to all LIARS.
The jury said both Johnny's lawyer and Amber are guilty of defamation. Johnny gets 15 million and Amber 2 million. But since the laws changed the exact amount will be closer to 300k for Depp of which his lawyers take a cut. In the end both get nothing. The good news is that there won't be another POTC with Johnny Depp and no Aquaman with Amber.

A true lesson indeed. Plus, the fact that Johnny wasn't even there when the verdict was read is like rubbing salt to Amber's wounds. She suffered a tremendous loss today, and Johnny is out there performing on stage, singing and playing his guitar, and starting a new chapter of his life already. I am aware that the primary purpose of this trial for him is to let the truth out, but his absence in court when the verdict was read was almost like an expected and foreseen victory, despite the difficulty of winning defamation cases.
AH is almost next to tears because her career is over and she has to actually pay and not pledge the damages to JD.

I love this judge. Level headed throughout even when things got annoying. She always responded in a calm and sometimes fun manner.

To the jury's credit, I see this gaffe as an indication they were truly focused on the truth of the matter.

Yeah, the money aspect means nothing to Johnny. Was all about proving her statements were false.

I've had false allegations brought against me and it affected my living situation and my financial situation. If I had seen something like this back then I would have fought it instead of just taken what happened and moving on. It still affects me 8 years later.
Not everyone has millions to put into a case, but you can give it to God -allow Him to bring you peace and vindicate you.

I'm relieved for Johnny to finally be vindicated after suffering so much at the hands of Amber. Having the trial be publicized like this was one of the best moves they made as it allowed everyone to see just what kind of a person Amber Heard really is. It will also hopefully come to show which media outlets are completely untrustworthy, if they try to spin this in a way to support Amber. Because this time, the world watched this trial and has more than just their articles to go off of.
On a side note, I have a suspicion that the reason the verdict was sent back for missing damages was not because the jury forgot to write any damages at all, but actually because of the punitive damages they awarded Amber (aka none). I suspect they left it completely blank initially, and after the judge sent it back, they would have specified it was $0.

If it is true the state would only allow 350,000 in damages or whatever someone should have informed the Jury . Some are saying that even though the jury awarded 5 million the courts get to change it to 350,000. In my opinion that is not right.. He deserves the whole 15 million plus.

I am not trying to be critical but, why did and how could the jury forget the damages? Then just because the jurors forgot, it seems like they may have rushed and we cannot be sure if this is what they would have decided on the damages, had they had not originally forgotten the compensatory damages! SMH!
I think it was the way the instructions were given. If you go back and listen to the jury instructions from the judge, it did sound like unless they found for all 3 counts, they would not write anything in damages for ANY of the counts. But that's not what she meant. She meant for the individual counts, if there was no finding then they would not list damages for either compensatory or punitive but ONLY for that one. Since there were 3 statements (or counts) on each side, they found in favor for Johnny on all 3 of her counts so he received damages for all 3. For her, bc they only found for 1, they likely did not list for her bc they thought they were instructed to only list IF ALL 3 counts were found for her in her counter claim. So I think the lack of damages was on her case. Hope that makes sense.
