Mariotta deserves to get an extension contract. A backup QB who delivers when the game is on the line is a true gem. Furthermore, he has great chemistry with JD5.
So many teams need QBs this year it feels like both backups in this game might be starting next year. If you got a team like the Jets with no good QB and no prospects for one in the draft, I can imagine taking a shot on Mariota.
You are very lucky to have Marcus. Magical moments like when he was here at Oregon with a Heisman to prove it. Thrilled to see him on the field. He should be in starting role-not backup.

A QB has to have a lot of self-confidence to throw to a receiver covered like a blanket like that. Well done Mariota and McLaurin.
