Sounds about right tbf. All it is is the uncompressed assets that make up each and every level in the game. If you wanted to, you can make your own assets for this game so you don't have to use the official assets.
Your sage being wiped is likely just a side effect of launching into a beta branch which is likely just using its own save files to prevent your main ones from possibly being corrupted

They're giving players the same dev tools that id Software used to create the game - how crazy is that?! This is going to unleash a whole new level of creativity and possibilities from the Doom modding community. Seeing mods like the "Beginner Custom Map" and "Sim's Level Levitation" showcased just scratches the surface of what people are going to come up with. And the way they've integrated mod management directly into the Doom Eternal launcher is genius. It makes finding, installing, and playing these community creations so easy, even if it does reset your game progress! (because who cares when you've got a constant stream of awesome new Doom content to experience!) They showcased approximately 10 mins of gameplay footage and i just feel sad, like bruh i wish i was there! 😭 (I also told Horde Mode an Gougaru about this aswell)
They did show 10 minutes of dark ages footage, however, it was only to the people attending in-person. There was no NDA though, so expect a lot of people talking about it, no videos though, security was very uptight about that.
Doom and Doom II will be completely remade with 3 months. The only question is going to be monster limit. NUTS will be remade within a week but probably won't even load.
As far as i remember, doom eternal has max of 25 active demons on arena, but it might be more. Though it's more than enough for me. I never understood NUTS map. It won't even run on original doom. If I want to have 1000 enemies running at me, I would rather play Serious Sam.

hdoom can't really be uploaded to the mod portal cuz it has the same restrictions as creation kit, such as no naughty mods so if you just stick to the mod portal you're safe
I'm really excited to see this happen now doom eternal has truly become eternal. I hope this comes to console in some form. Or I'll just buy eternal again on my laptop to access these mods so I can play them. And maybe finally bring my version of the ancient gods to life with the tools but that's something will be a long time coming but the possibilities are endless
Is it just me or does everyone else who was using the custom ui mod before the update have broken pink ui and the setting to change it is greyed out on the normal version of the game?
PLEASE HELP. I downloaded a map and dragged it to "active". When I launched Doom Eternal "With mods" it just didn't work. Started new saves in the campain and both dlcs and it just started the first levels. Is anyone know how to fix that?
Its nice seeing other games make the steam workshop approach to them, if the community is loyal (like valves games) it can keep the game alive even longer
@@TheBeansprout For a full library that's been worked on for at least 3 years. Completely reasonable. Modding requires a lot of storage, and if you're running a pre-made build with a 500GB HDD then you need to worry about getting your hardware up to code first before modding. Also should be SSDs for something that requires such high speed. HDDs are great for basic storage though.

Verify your game files and that should work, I had the same problem and it fixed it
