Tip for autobalance in valve servers: When you see the message pop up you are about to be moved to the other team, simply open your console (~ by default, after you turn it on in the settings/advanced settings) and input "retry" and press enter. It will reload the server and put you back in the original team you were in. It will reset your server stats but that's better than losing the team with your friend/s! Cheers friend
This is incredible intel. I just got back into the game and got some friends to try it as well, but I seem to frequently get balanced onto the other team. This is especially rough because I main scout and one of them mains medic. Obviously I always try to kill the med first so they suffer lmao
For the "X kills during ubercharge" achievements, use the Quick-fix uber. It will negate a large amount of damage, and makes you and the heal target immune to knockback, so pyro can't stuff you.

I love the formatting of this episode, hope you keep it gameplay heavy like this going forward instead of having a bunch of voiceover summarizing things we don't get to see or quick montages where we don't actually see the process of you getting the achievement other than the last kill or whatever you needed being done. Even if you end up getting achievments on your own and don't end up saying anything during the footage you can just commentate over it in post, or honestly, you could possibly get away with leaving it as is if the process of getting the achievement is interesting enough. Here I'm mainly thinking of things you need to do in a single life like getting killstreaks with a pyro meele or the eyelander, killing multiple people in one base jumper deploy, taunting after kills and ohters like that. Obviously you don't have to include things like footage of you destroying each of the 100 stickies you need or each of the 1,000,000 robots you need to destroy but as you can see from this episode you can easily get an episode's worth of footage from achievements that are interesting to watch you get. One thing I would add is that you probably shouldn't include failed attempts unless somehting interesting happens during them or you need extra footage to make an episode feel more complete, satisfying, cinematic etc.

I couldn't help but nervously laugh when one of your friends was calling people crazy for having around 2k hours in a single game. But yeah, nah. Autism, ADHD, hyperfixations etc. They play into it hard. I've played a game called FFXIV for juuuust under 6k hours in the last 1.5 or so years. Hyperfixations and genuinely connecting with a game just does that sometimes. (Especially when you're literally unable to do anything else in the meantime.) So far though, this series has been extremely engaging. It's certainly reminding me of the days of when I'd just reset my TF2 Stats solely for this kinda thing.
impressive, before i quit tf2 (due to lack of updates and bots), I managed to rack up 23,896.9 hours throughout the years of playing the game! I did managed to get 75% achievement progress thru the years just casually playing tf2, so it is definitely possible to get majority of achievements very quickly or by luck, good luck on the class achievements though, those take the longest due to the fact it forces you to play classes you may suck at, I'd know cause I never got spy's and snipers took forever when i tried to get it (still remember when I managed to unlock grey matter for the first time!)

Hey overachiever, I was wondering how many years you’ve been playing TF2, because the only game I have anywhere near your Play time would be destiny with only 1500 after three years. Like that’s some crazy dedication to the game.
The only game I have similar metrics to you in in terms of playtime is Terraria. 'Course, considering this was uploaded 1 month ago and you've likely been non-stop achievement grinding, you've probably surpassed that by now, but still; nice to know I'm not the only person with ~2000 hours in a game.
Can you give some advice on how to do the "Family Practice" achievement please. I give friends an Uber, but the game doesn't count for some reason, tried from different mediguns - still doesn't count. I added a random player to my friends, gave him an Uber a few times, but none of the times counted
You will need to Ubercharge 5 different friends, if you’re doing the same few friends over and over it won’t count. The TF2 wiki has the added stipulation of needing to join a friends game and ubercharge them so there is a chance you need to not be in the same game, join them, then Uber them for it to count. Hope this helps! 😄
There is something you could have done against pyros. The quick fix gives full knockback immunity. However, it would likely sacrifice the utility of stock Uber.
Man, these achievements feel like Contracts, but worse and just more unfun to do. And seeing someone like you do them legitimately almost makes me want to reset my achievements to do the same.
