That shingle looks pretty rough at the bend. I saw a couple of shiners that look they need to be sealed too. I would tell them poor installation is what caused this roof leak.
Essentially, you are saying that singles are flawed because of the tar strip on every shingle. Its more likely that the nail was too close to the join. I think they should be at least 3 inches from the join.
@@FlatRoofDoctor i got a Leak on my Garage Shingle Roof in one spot should i buy a hand held Vacuum to remove dust and debris before spreading the poly, i might use an old paint brush to sweep away the crumbs and debris.
Thats my favorite music too. I listened to that song when I was 10 years ols in South Africa, and we don't even understand Spanish. The tune is very catchy
After many years people trying to fix the leak I finally found the tell tail of a rusty nail. I see the man every Sunday at church and has never complaint about that leak again, Hmmmm, I wonder who to believe, Mr Expert, or the results?? You are very smart. I hope to see videos of you teaching us how you would fix things. I am sure you can teach us a thing or two
😅😂 Typical DIY “roofer”…… He should be a spokesperson for Turbo Ploy Seal. I have NOT seen a video of his where he doesn’t use it. I wonder if him and his wife take a bath with it, too? Anyone reading this, just hire a professional roofer to actually repair the problem and not place a Band-Aid on it.
I discovered a leaking roof yesterday on the same kind of shingles. Thanks for this video!

If that (the seam)is what causes the leak then wouldn't and shouldn't we expect the entire roof to be leak.

@@matt7iron I always use a small leaf blower.
Thanks 👍👏
Welcome 👍
Regular asphalt roof cement caulk works great for that.
They shouldn't have used shingles below a 4/12 pitch.
Excelente música y gran vídeo 😃

I’m a shingle roof repair expert in my area. And I respectfully disagree with you about what is causing the leak there. What you fixed will do nothing

He said before hes not a shingle expert 😂
@@FlatRoofDoctor Maybe the men from church don't want to embarrass you 😅, definitely that's not the way to fix a leak.
I say anything do with paint is a temporary fix new roof needed
Just because 1 nail is causing the leak, you suggest replacing the entire roof? Nuts
Wasn't one nail tho flat roof doctor
People don’t know how to mail right
You probably meant to say "Nail" If so, I agree. The biggest issue with shingle installation is normally the nailing patern
Go get that Doc,you are the best fucking painter.
