i once spared a dude who had wayyy lower gear. i shot him down because he shot me. but i always give people a chance to play and learn the game, so i revived him and let him leave. later in the game i started an extraction. the hunter shot me down, i was unconcious and the 5 minutes almost had passed. ALL OF THE SUDDEN THE SAME GUY I REVIVED AT THE BEGINNING OF THE GAME SHOWED UP AND SAVED ME. we both extracted and since then i always believe in good karma. i try to help everyone in survival mode

Yeah i met this random guy in Survival and at first i though he was a liability, He kept going down and going random places. turns out i was the liability, We made it to the extraction zone and i went down, The heli had landed already and we had 7 secs to get to it by the time he revived me. we didnt make it, but he had a second flare we both had 4 min before the infection killed us so we needed to be quick. I was dying of the cold and he kept healing me while we waited for the 2nd heli. we made it, we got out alive! this guy was a random, he could of got out of their when the heli came the 1st time. but he didnt... he saved my life 4 times. its people like that i love!
Got survival last night played it for a couple hours died over and over from 5 minutes in to at around an hour in lol Finally completed it solo for the first time couple hours ago.This mode is so damn fun i love it :D

information for those who don't know already, if you are on an extraction site and another player/group runs onto it, more hunters will spawn for the amount of players that are on site, its happened to my group so many times, another group ran on so it was 8 hunters vs 8 players, but the other group died so we were against 8 hunters

IGhostRecon13 I only play solo so it's never to that magnitude but I will never be the first to extract ever again. So many times I have people piggy back on me and spawn in a shit ton of hunters that then kill us because they are ass and I can't kill 3+ hunters on my own. Safest way is wait for the virus and NPCs to wipe out the weak and then get the fuck out
Az Razerz i know that feeling bro, we came up on these guys at an extraction, felt bad after it we killed them then took out the hunters, 2 more people decided to try and take us on, killed them and then we continued on with what we were doing
So, true story here.. I watch this video, that actually changed my mindset when going into survival and decide to follow every single tip, up to and including..while playing solo, run and go to another extraction so you avoid the hunter. Spent a whole hour getting ready and filling my inventory, and eventually make it to DZ05 extraction, same one as in the video, called for it and RAN, well turns out, without realizing I ran directly into several elite enemies.. "fuck, I'm going to lose everything.. just keep running, k-e-e-p running..*use a medkit*", so I do.. surprise, I RAN INTO MORE FUCKING ENEMIES, at this point in like "FML now I'm dead.. *use first aid*".. so, somehow I manage to find a contaminated alley and run trough it, and for some reason they stop following me.. Guess where I ended.. same corner I started running from, where the hunter was patiently waiting for me. I took this as a signal that I had to fight this asshole who's killed me 6 times out of the 8 times I've played survival, and miraculously I defeat him just after using my last medkit, call extract again and complete the mission. I dont remember the last time a game made me tremble, but holy shit.. this is intense, the cherry on top of everything was that on the score screen I read "Made it to extraction: 1st".
My buddy and I were two manning survival, we started our extraction and killed our hunters pretty fast. Well we heard the emp going off and more hunters appeared as 3 player showed up with unknown intentions. My buddy made the call to retreat and flank them while they killed then hunters. We got behind them, set them ambush successfully and extracted. Too much fun.
Zack Peters thats what makes this game so cool, I don't know where else you can get an experience as intense

I really like the LZ in Bryant Park, as you can setup on the balcony and the hunter will stay below you. As he isn't rushing, just look for the right opportunity to take him out. Note I play on PvE, so I'm sure it could be more troublesome with PvP.

Although I never normally use either of them in the main game, I've noticed that the G36 and the Dragunov are very powerful in Survival. Getting a G36 early is great because you don't have skills, so Focused is more than likely going to be active all the time until you hit a point where you need to use a skill; but that won't be for a while. Secondly, the Dragunov's stability is fantastic for keeping a stable headshot chain on these lower-health enemies.
Had a first go at Survival last night, loved it. It's breathed new life into the game. Cheers for the tips..

I love this strategy. Very aggressive to start by pushing into the central areas but also utilizes stealth to get ahead. Definitely trying this when i go in again. I only went in once, lasted 1 hour 17 minutes lol. Had no clue wtf was happening for about 50% of that time. I got this now!... yeah... totally. :/
I did this solo for the first time a couple of days ago(I did on PVE cause whimp :P), man was that fun, but also heart racing! lol I scavenged around Chelsea for a while before heading towards the dark zone. Had some decent gear as a result going into the DZ so that was good and managed to just barely avoid some of the stronger patrols. But 2 things nearly killed me before I got to the extraction zone; the lack of medi and not being able to find a damn Division Tech! Finally found the Tech and got away from the enemies with minimal damage. Was getting down to around 10 min left on death clock when I came across a dead player, and close by was some medi!
Got to the extraction point and there was another player there, at this point, if I remember there was only 6 of us left. He had called in the extraction before I got there, but I helped him clear out the enemies and revived him once. But, as the last enemies were going down I went down, and he started to clap over me! I'll admit to some rage, more so since I rezed him on his own extraction call! But, despite the taunting, with just enough time before the chopped left he revived me and we both got away.
If it wasn't for him rezzing me I wouldn't done made it, then again I did go down so... I call it a win :D XD
Great vendor reset this week, at least for me. I got exactly the things I was looking for.
A good tip for consumables since medicines are hard to come by is to only use them when absolutely necessary like using the medical syringe one once you get the countdown timer and only using the antibiotics around the same time to give you more time. The rest of the consumables are similar really except for food and water. I haven't tried the PvP survival mode yet but the PvE mode has pretty slim pickings for materials regardless of location.
since most players are alive in PVE 90% of the time it's hard to find that medicine to extend your lifetime, unlike PVP where most players are dead within the first 30 mins. Which in turn veils more medicine and lootables for you to use.
There are several meds. I max out each time. Have to go to the right places. Normally have about 35 mins to spare in DZ.

W 22nd st has probably the best clothing spot.. I get my entire squad full of clothing and we don't have to worry about picking up clothing or to craft them

You don't need anti virals to extract as a solo player. It just gives you more points at the end if you do.

Wanna know how I deal with Hunters? HE M60 Crafted. Not only is it high damage, but the large magazine means you can keep on the pressure before he heals.
Once you get used to the hunter, its very easy. My strategy is to use Division Tech to craft a Gold High End M44 Rifle and full blue or purple mods and you can usually take out the hunter with 2 headshots, or maybe 1 headshot and 2-3 body shots. Use grenades and Turret to distract the hunter if you need to.
Fair warning though, the Hunters can hack your turret.

Running to the dark zone early doesn't make the game easier, it actually makes it harder, especially solo. It's a risk/reward tactic.
WeejixDoWx i did not mean all of them make it easier. running to the darkzone doesn't make it easier i know that but how to fight the predators and the contaminated area's that contain div tech were helpfull
Honestly if you dont craft the advanced filter you run around a lot more than you should. You can collect up to 30 running north along the outter edges of the dz along with other crafting materials. Much of the medicine/painkillers are in contaminated areas. After awhile when you get a "good run" down, you learn where all the easy div tech is on the map. Subway areas tend to have the most div tech. Easiest way for me to kill hunters 34K DPS, 80K SKILL POWER,Custom M44, High-end turret, and Seeker. Ive killed two hunters in under 30 secs bc ive had to search for the second one
Got it on my first try to finish but ever since then I didn't. Probably played to careless. Will get on to it again. And yes closer to dz lot is getting better
Thanks for the last tip, that's very useful. Especially on the Hunter. I got killed on that spot and I know I have a better way to take them down.
I know this is an older video but it has some great info in it. My wife and I used to play survival all the time and we stopped for about 3 years. We have recently gotten back into it. We always extract at Bryant Park. She sets up on the balcony with an M44 and a healing box. I typically stay on the ground with an M44 and G36 if I have the materials. We extract up to 4 hunters most of the time.
One thing you said that I did not know was that someone in your group can get antivirals and if you are in proximity, you actually get Division Tech? Did I hear that correctly? Or does it just allow you to make a flare gun only. Can you use that Division Tech for another item?
if the hunters only spawn once can you not just call the chopper run to another extraction and call it again then not fight them at all? or is it only after they have been killed they won't respawn?

+Arekkz Gaming the best extraction point is the DZ03 the park with the buildings you can hide in there wait till the hunters spawned and kill them from the balconies :)
but the drones of them are anoying... i prefer DZ03 its much easier and you can see everything :D
am so aggravated with survival right now... but now after watching your tips I wanna get back to it and find that Urban MDR.... players drain the places of crafting materials... as I make my way there... so I think I'll bypass alot and see if that helps.

I usually get them from killing enemies in the DZ, and other materials? I have a tons of that during the survival lol.

xMiiDNIGHT TIPS XD Groups of two or three work best I find, memorize a few locations for division tech to craft high end weapons, craft a M60 (or your favorite LMG), med station and turret work best for me I find, pop meds as soon as you find them cause you tend to forget you have them, don't feel pressured to fill up your pack with caches, grab a few and extract, don't extract if there are randys around cause that will spawn more hunters, pre dark zone look for tent cities they tend to have a lot of items

i normally play slow and steady and well normally only 1-2 heli's gets called so yeah the lowering of extraction from first to second is only 100 something points and well worth it to take things slow.
If you are close to completing the extraction but another player escapes, can you still find a vaccine and get out? I'm confused about this.
AlliSnake Yep..its not a race. You can take your time, but remeber..the virus will kill you eventually. When im about 30mins from death, is when I head into the zone... I like to explore and take my time....also a good way to get nice gear from people who rush in too early and die. Allows you to break down their gear to use for crafting. 😉

Playing with someone else to hold your hand and rez you when you get rekt is not high risk.... let me know how that works for you solo...
The hunters are also 10x easier with multiple people, so having a squad is definitely not as risky as it is rewarding.
Yeah, its fucking park walk with 4 groups, teamspeak, shit, money, gold etc. but solo is true survival.
I think you need different friends then as most are, in fact, not like that.

I really want to see Survival make its way to Division 2 without the Virus timer - or maybe make that the PVP portion of the game to strengthen the lethality and urgency. Make the PVE map just permanent with the ability to scavenge and extract where as entering each time resets you so you want to move into the Dark Zone to get the good loot, extract, rinse and repeat... think DayZ kind of.
Have all of New York or at least similar portion that is featured in Survival for Division 1. But the PVE aspect allows you to roleplay a little if you'd like with open mics and stuff.
I don't know what happened but me and my buddy helped kill hunters at an evac(players ended up dying before the helicopter came) and we used the same evac about 7 mins later and no hunters spawned for us, thought I'd bring it up in case it might be a bug or perhaps hunters can only be activated once per evac zone

The hunters spawning and not despawning is bullsht. Had to fight three of them last night... playing solo, managed to kill only two of them before the third killed me. Once a player uses a LZ and dies or runs off it basically becomes a death trap.

I personally haven't seen that yet but after I killed my hunter someone called an extraction somewhere else then brought him to me last second and I got killed immediately.
Made it to the hunter last night on my second run and meeting these guys for the first time felt very creepy as I was the only person left alive. Sadly I didn't have enough meds to save myself so I died before I could extract

Vesper Angel i beat the hunter solo, my teammates all died at spawn point some noobs killed them while i ran into the thundery freezing new york streets.. I met them at my extraction killed 2 of them the other 2 ran while i extracted. RIP fellow randoms.

Done quite a few more runs since my first one but so far never managed to extract but made it to the hunters every single time. Just need to find a good tacttic to beat them and then I'll be good to go
Vesper Angel stay behind cover use pulse and health forgot whats its called... He'll get out of cover once in a while and you can take advantage while he's reloading it took me about 4minutes to kill him
use turret and seeker balls if you have a high end weapon and health packs ...the way they ago the hunter will completely ignore you while he hacks your turret...the seeker balls will get a hit in while you just melt him as he stands there...you need a decent weapon or be at close enough range to get heads hots but again he won't move until it's hacked...should only take a couple seconds and nomore than 2 magazines to clear 1

If you are doing this solo in pve can a random group of four just get in your chopper and then you have to call it again and kill the hunters again?
i have a odd question, kind of an observation. you are still playing in Manhattan, so why can't you just make your way back to the post office loot your own player storage or use all the crafting materials you would have stored there, and also visit Dr. Jessica Kandel and have her cure the infection? i haven't played survival mode yet, i've just gotten the season pass and my friends are playing undergound. do they have a story that explains all this?

Eric Hudson for the hunter I always use a sniper and assault rifle I've killed 3 of them solo you just have to stay in cover and wait for them to peak
last time i played survival it took 20 mins to find a match.. mostly because most player probably younger ones (or could be people who don't have enough time) lack patience and leave after waiting 5 mins.
Do weapons drop according to your gear score I can't get anything over 279 and my gear score is normally 280 I can make it 284 without a set I was wondering if it's like Destiny where you have to have your highest gear to get highest gear& weapons

Good locations for materials and gear are landmarks.
Best tip I think is the meds and painkillers use them as soon as you find them as your infection progresses the less effective meds and painkillers become I played a solo pvp spent an hour just running around outside the dz timer was still at 48 mins had so much stuff when I entered the dz I went straight for the division tech locations then to a safe house and fully decked myself out in all high ends then proceeded to hunt down and slaughter the 15 remaining players 😁
Is there anything you can craft without a crafting table?
I do follow getting moving quickly to avoid other people but I am a slow and steady. I haven't got to the point of building in the DZ. So i beat it solo.

If you call an extraction and then leave and call another one somewhere else hunters will still show up that bug was hot fixed so stay where you are and extract from one location
GUYS I HAVE A QUESTION! If I bought the standard $50.00 version of The Division on the Playstation Store, would I have access to this Survival mode? or would I have to buy a separate DLC on top of the standard version of the game?
Was there changes to survival? last time during the pts people said it was pretty easy
they buffed npc health a bit and made it so high end weopons need div tech to craft. maybe other changes but not too sure

I bought the season pass but I gave up on this game just after Underground dlc so I had neva played this. Yesterday I thought because I have bought the sp and Survival does look interesting I may-as-well give it a go and I'm so glad I did. I still haven't done it but I love this part of the game, infact this is the best part of the game! It is so hard solo but yest I got in with 2 other fellas, got all the way to the DZ then 2 of us realised we hadn't built the mask so we went back to collect the shit we need and then I was running along, got all the things I needed, nearly at a safehouse to craft it and then I just dropped down dead😱 Why??? I was so pissed man
Play solo in pvp...crafting a highend mk46 and using shock grenades I can kill my hunter in seconds...even wear down human players quite easy. Its a great game mode...gets the adrenaline flowing.
I do the opposite, I gather as much as I can, hit up landmarks with purple/blue gear, make an upgraded mask and med kit, turret and heal. And survive as long as I can than extract. I get 11000 score per run solo.
Mind you it's been me and another random in a survival session or it's by myself
Something I noticed when my friend and I played together. (Just the two of us in a group.) 4 hunters showed up, and this is both times we got to the extraction point. I'm thinking the number of hunters might be based on more than just player count.

I'd go with that as a possibility, but 4 hunters spawned with just the two of us and we were the only two left as indicated much earlier by the '2 Agents Remain' text.
I had that happen couple times if some one random sneaks up to ur extraction and leaves it will spawn a hunter as well if a person in in the zone they spawn good way to eliminate ur foes

Jose Avalos yes. Big time. If you love the Division but want something new to it that's WAY better than underground by miles. Totally worth every penny.

Hey Arekkz, I have a PS4 so survival hasn't come out yet, but if you are doing the PvE survival mode, than other players can't attack you right?
Yes. You'll run into other players but they cannot kill you in PvE. Only the ai enemies can.
AlliSnake that's actually not accurate. if you're down, a player can kill you and loot your gear. you hold z instead of f.
Halfzipp I meant if you're not down, other players can't kill you in PvE.
I gave myself the best tip for this mission and that is walk away and NEVER PLAY IT AGAIN!
I am the absolute worse at this mission! I did so bad i got the Ubisoft achievement of Gold Survival failure! No extraction, no hunter kill,No antivirals, died from freezing, died from disease, died from ncp's,

So it looks like in Survival you start with nothing and have to craft your way up to extraction...what happens to all the gear and weapons you've acquired up until now prior to survival?
I mean, I just recently became a fully classified Reclaimer. What happens to my gear and weapons if I choose to enter survival mode? To me, it wouldn't be worth it to lose all of that time played to play survival only to lose everything and have to run through more than 100 instances again to get my classified gear back after finishing (or in my case, losing) in survival.
