Unrelated but related skill note. For the shield you can use a combination of Skill Tier pieces and Armor stat pieces (Shield Icon) to up the skill tier of the shield itself. For example, I have skill tier 2 for the rest of my skills but since I have 4 pieces of Armor stat based gear, my shield tier is level 6, giving me the full bonus. I just learned this today
worth noting for the tank bois out there -- Ballistic Shield also has a tier system, but it uses your Armor Primary stats instead of Skill Stats!! So if you wanted to have massive amounts of health and run a shield, you're good to go!
You'll still get melted by the AI, so that's utterly pointless to even waste time doing. The game is now heavily weighted to DPS, anything else means you'll do very likely damage yourself while the AI has lots of damage and armor. Excellent update this armor 2.0🙄😒. Specific skills retain the “overcharge effect” sniper turret keeps its fire rate. Hives keeps speed. If deployed after buff. I have more to test but for a overcharge skill build sniper turret is amazing. I’ve been testing overcharge on many skills.
i still think it should give you overcharge from applying status effect just put a 60 sec cool down on it not the stupid hive mechanic it has now, and the glove say it only effect team mates or does it buff you aswell.
Btsu gloves need be changed to at least give overcharge detonating ANY skill to no lock people into hive. We already have a very long cooldown for one feature with just 15s duration(time to use one time other skill and maybe hive 2 times for 1 charge), overcharge values for most number of skills is also laughable
It’s worth noting that that backpack seems to be bugged and procs the overcharge simply by throwing the grenade. It doesn’t need to damage enemies right now.
There are also gloves that if you detonate a hive skill it gives overcharge for 20secs. has a minute or so CD though so you can't use it constantly but combined with the other exotics you may actually be able to minimize the overcharge downtime. Also the gloves affect allies too and resets all skills for everyone.
I really like what they did with skills. On a side note, is anyone experiencing a bug with masks where you cannot see their stats? The ones in my inventory just say "purchased" or "looted". When I try to compare them, sometimes I will be able to see one. But there will always be a blank one. This has only started happening after the March 3rd update.

@@derbudz That's exactly why I don't do that...
Because like half of the players are doing it, and it's overpowered as hell compared to everything else.
Toss fire grenade...
Oxidizer chem launcher becomes GOD
Good vid. I got thos build love it ...
How do we get all the tier? Like I’m looking for the skill Vanity mod slot to chem launcher but I can’t find it how do I get it?
What about running the technician it gives you one skill tier if your at six’s it useless ? Or permanently overcharged ...
Yes it's useless, you can only go overcharge when activating one of the 3 talents
@@abcar_ lets your throw on a non skill build armour peice if you want like say the ninja bike exotic or say a Gila guard piece rolled for max armour for extra tankiness
thank you for the help
Incredibly helpful! I really appreciate the information. Cheers! 🤟🍻
what do those bars under each skill attribute mean?
It would be cool to see all the tiers for all the skills. I wonder what an overcharged decoy would do?
You can go to said skill and press the mod button it shows you what effects you get with each skill tier
JOKERBOY1997 JM -- I don’t have the DLC though, so I’ll never know what the decoy does when overcharged 😢
Adrian Lua it increases the decoy’s health, duration, and threat generation.
Are these new skill tiers exclusive to the new dlc? Or do we get them free through an update?
Thank You!
Would throwing another nade whole in overcharge reset or extend it?? Didn't see CD in the backpack description.
Rooster Cogbert There is a cool down. You wait for buff to end then it’s cool down. Throwing anymore grenades will not refresh it
So the only way to go beyond level 30 to level 40 & beyond gear score 500 is to buy the New York DLC?
Bloodsucker with cluster seeker, OP! you're welcome lolll
Skill Tier 6?
How?
Do you have to have the pass or dlc for the shock gadget or sticky bomb one?
Dlc. Year 1 pass is as useless as nipples in a man
Huh...sooo I guess I need to get back into D2. Beat it and was fighting black tusk when I got bored and went back to D1. Thank for the info. I own Warlords and it looks fun, weird I'm saying that about the Division 2.
this is the game ive uninstalled and installed back the most in 30 years as a gamer haha not falling for it again but it's great to see people releasing content for it
You're an excellent help
Can u look at the skill tier Shield Wall thats on the shields?
XxGodsOfChaosxX it gives a short invincible shield. But tbh it doesn’t seem that good.
I’m late to this but thank Areks !!!
Not sure but if you get 6 skill points from gear + technician skill tree you should have perma overcharge.
One question:what the hell this trap and other thing? I already made my skill tier build and playing after the update but there is no new skills for me.
You get the new skills such as the shock traps, decoy, and sticky bombs after you defeat the respective rogue agent that uses that skill in the Warlords of New York story
Theo Parnell - decoy
Javier Kajika - shock traps
Vivian Conley - sticky bomb flame variant
James Dragov - sticky bomb explosive variant
And once you’ve fully complete the WONY story and begin the seasonal manhunt you can get the EMP variant of the sticky bomb by taking down the rogue agent called Jupiter which is this season’s manhunt target
@@NeonTheWolf wow thanks the only problem is left that i don't own the dlc... 😅
P4TRICCS ngl it is a bit overpriced for how short the story actually is, you can literally beat the story in just like a few hours. But overall if you’re planning on getting the DLC i’d say go for it cause it still is pretty good, and you get a new map to explore so its something new away from Washington DC
i have a quation. does the armor core attribute buff the shield skill tier with each addition or is that a bug im experienceing.
It's legit for those tank builds cause it would make sense tanking damage especially being flanked
@@btfastinger yeah would make no sense to have to go a skill build to tank with the shield as its a purely defensive tanking skill
@@Ugnutz I can see it since you can use say a sticky launcher from behind the shield so I guess safe damage skill deployment?
they really improved this game!!!
Dude Thank You
hey how comes you got so many new skills than me. ive only got the oringinal 8?
Do cluster mines work or just the other grenades?
Any grenade will trigger it.
Well I’m a dumb dumb I didn’t even realize this. Ty man
Is it worth getting back into this game at the moment?
For the most Part Yea.... I was skeptical myself but I just got bored wit DC... And the Manhunt mission to get to Keener is pretty solid
Anyone else having problems with the hardwire feedback loop talent not working on PS4? Doesn't seem to work for me at all.
Figured it out. Feedback loop don't work with sticky bomb
What about having +1 skill on all six slots and using technician which Grant's +1 skill
It’s redundant. Basically a wasted skill tier. Best to utilize a different core attribute on a piece of gear.
Why do you have the shock trap??
Do skills rank up with level, example shield health . Because at level 31 the damage you receive is different to lvl 40. It would not be beneficial to run a shield if the health if it is the same even at tier 6
hector villanueva they scale with level, and using armor raises skill tier as well for shields
Everything scales with level in this game so as you get stronger so do your enemies. If they were tanky at 30, expect the same at 40 only the numbers are bigger but since it scales it's literally the same.
@@evilformerlys4704 so how can you ever get an edge as a tank. Does it just come down to talents and the minor attributes.
doesnt the technician specialisation gives you +1 tier. so you would be in overcharge permanently?
I think overcharge has to be activated?
How does the new clutch work? Never used the old one so I'm unfamiliar.
Confused Raccoon there is no more clutch
@@robertmedina2408 Right. If you say so. How does it work though? Does it activate then allow you to build up to 100% armour back? Does 4 reds mean you can go only get up to 40% back?
Can someone please help me figure out why i cant find any mod slots in any of my gear anymore??? only have mods for guns and skills but some GEAR used to have mod slots and i have all these gear mods i cant seem to use
the remodeled the game so if you were old player from years ago you're going to be playing like your newbie because that's how they make it fun so when you buy the DcL you go back to being a level 30 for 29.99
Cant you just use technician and get the plus 1 skill tier talent to stay in overcharge?
I thought about this, too, but surely they thought about that. I would check it out but haven't leveled that special yet.
Stays at 6, overcharge requires something that gives overcharge specifically
You need something that specifically says overcharge
