- Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness showed Wanda Maximoff breaking bad--and the number one question fans had is: "Where's Vision?" The last time we saw Charmin Vision in WandaVision, he had regain the memories of his previously life, and flew away to parts unknown. In this video we explain why he wasn't around to help Wanda, how he'll redeem her in the future, and eventually lead a new team of Avengers in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

We’ve made quite a few videos about Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness where we bring up plot holes and theories about where we can go from here. By far the number one question we keep hearing is “Where is the Vision.” Why didn;t white Vision come help out? Where was he in the other universes?
We’ve addressed this in a couple videos, but I’ve been thinking about it. I realized that Vision is actually the most crucial character in the MCU’s past and future.
Vision is the reason that Wanda broke bad in the 616 and why she’s still got it together in the 838. Plus, I’ve got a theory that I think means that the Vision family is going to be happily reunited, and lead a team of all new Avengers.
First, I want to talk about why Vision is ultimately responsible for Wanda’;s downfall in the 616 universe. But first, we need to look at a version of Wands that did not break bad. In the year 838, Wanda is able to have her twin sons, she is not evil, and apparently has the whole Scarlet witch chaos magic under control.
And do you know why?
Doug: Why?
Because Vision does not exist in this universe. First of all, exhibit A, Wanda has no wedding ring.
Exhibit B, the Ultron bots actually work. In our easter egg video-hey, one million views, thanks fans!. IN our easter egg video I guessed that the Ultron bots actually work because they were invented by Reed Richards. The smartest man alive who casually told wanda Black Bolts’ one weakness.
And, this could be true. Or mayhem Tony Stark still existed in this universe, but reed helped him perfect the Ultron program. Either way, Ultron never turned evil. If Ultron never turned evil, then he never created the Vision to be his new beach body. So, the mind stone would have stayed in Loki’s scepter, and probably would have been removed from earth by Thor. Remember that for later.
And also, if Ultron never turns evil, then Pietro never dies. Even if Vision did exist, then this would have changed Wanda’s relationship. When she was mourning Pietro, she found comfort with Vision.
So the 838 Wanda is in a much better place, emotionally. Also, no Ultron means no Sokovia accords, which means no Civil war. The 838 universe was a paradise, up until 616 Wanda paid them a visit.
But, one key event stayed the same. Wanda still created her sons-as a single mom. Not only that, but her boys have also still aged up quickly, just like they did in WandaVison.
So why did Wanda create a family for herself in this other universe? Could be for any number of reasons. Likely, she just wanted a family, and the magic she used accelerated their aging. So the kids in the 838 were not created from grief. They were created from love. What is important is that the manner she created them was different from the 616.
In 616, Wanda was mourning Vision. She just saw the love of her life dismembered and destroyed. That’s heartbreaking for anyone to endure. Then, in her grief, she subconsciously creates a new vision.That’s important for later.
This new Vision, and this fantasy world, were flawed from the beginning. The magic was never meant to last. It meant that this version of Wanda’s kids were always going to be destroyed.
In Multiverse of Madness, we learn that Wanda has her kids in every single other reality-except this one. And why? Because in 616, she was mourning Vision. So we can theorize that Vision did not exist in any other universe. Because when the vision exists, he dies, and the hex is created, Wanda turns to the Darkhold, and wanda is evil.
But I think there’s another reason why the loss of Vision caused Wanda to break bad. The two of them are connected through the infinity stone. [I just feel you]. Vision never understood his connection to the stone
In many ways, Vision was a vehicle that the stone was driving around. He was a living infinity stone. And Wanda is tied to that stone-she creates Vision with the piece of the mind stone that lived in her. So when the Mind stone is destroyed-when Vision is destroyed, a piece of her goes silent.

I think Wanda and Vision just had children normally. It is possible because Vision is kind of, a human.

I'm sure there are plenty of realities where Wanda doesn' have her kids... or had them and lost them. In my opinion, the Darkhold wanted her to believe that she was the only Wanda without her children in order to manipulate and control her more easily, so she was only shown those realities.

Agree and think the darkhold was also not showing her realities with Vision, as its possible that he could have been someone that could talk her out of her plan.

Personally I believe its due to Wanda being a nexus being, since there’s only one scarlet witch. Agatha says that the scarlet witch isnt born, but created, so a requirement for that would be for wanda to be entirely and utterly alone, which is what we see in wandavision. Every other wanda either has her sons, vision, or both, witch is why they aren’t the scarlet witch.
I really hope they continue with Wanda. Her influence over the entire Marvel universe is undeniable. Also, Elizabeth Olsen puts all she has into bringing Wanda/Scarlet Witch to life, they would do a great service to fans if they continue to let her do so.

Idk the Ultron bots look like Ultron sentries, which he made after going rouge. unless by complete random chance the 838 Ultron bots look exactly like the 616 bots, I think it’s more than likely the Illuminati just took control of Ultron army before Sokovia was destroyed

I think saying that Vision doesn't exist in any other universe is a very bold assumption. Because vision isn't the only thing that led Wanda to the darkhold, it's also Agatha (because she teached her the darkhold's existance) and Pietro (who amplified Wanda's grief because she had nobody left)
This theory still stands because without Wanda’s grief about losing vision. She would have never created the hex in west view. The only reason Agatha was interested in Wanda is because she was impressed the hex that Wanda created. No vision to grief, no hex, no Agatha
And bc vision literally already exists in what if zombies
@@ashleysaavedra8445 We don't really know if she created the hex because of just Visions death and the fact he was used as a weapon or that Ralph also played a part in making her feel very alone and helpless.

@@mrdarkmagic8437 it is because of Vision. She was looking at the property deed he bought for them that read “to grow old in” reminding her that they would never get to spend their life together. So what does she do? Breaks down and subconsciously creates him and that dream life, she makes it happen. She didn’t create her brother and parents, if it was about them she would’ve. She was completely grieving Vision. She is beyond in love with him. Not that she doesn’t love her parents and brother but Vision is the love of her life. Loosing him completely destroyed her.
I really thought Agatha was gonna show up in MoM cause I remember Agatha told Wanda she would need her at the end when she was defeated. She knows more about scarlet witch than anyone kinda disappointed she didn’t show up. Also Vision who is clearly a big part of Wanda

There's at least another two Visions from the alternative universes as shown in the Disney+ 'What If' series. One with all the zombies (including Zombie Wanda) and one with Infinity Ultron using the synthizoid body that would have belonged to Vision.

we can assume that is a universe that is identical to 616 up until Janet Van Dyne's rescue

My theory is that because Wanda purged the Multiverse of the Darkhold, that is how Kang conquers those universes. With the Wanda's in those universes not having access to the Darkhold, they never become the Scarlet Witch in them, and without her being there, the heroes of those worlds fall to Kang. It'll also be why he won't be able to Conquer the 616 because Wanda is already the Scarlet Witch.

Also lets not forget the last Wanda saw of White vision was him attacking her then attacking hex vision, she'd have no reason to seek out something like that and that's if she even knew he was still out there
I personnally think that White Vision is Vision, just because of his new eyes, and remember that we say « eyes are the reflects of soul » (here, spirit would be much more appropriate but that’s not the real quote lmao) and White Vision’s eyes are the same as Vision. It kinda makes sense to me.

I theorized that the 616 Wanda is the ONE Wanda that was meant to become The Scarlet Witch. It would explain why the other universe's Wandas had children and she didn't. She was meant to get ahold of the Darkhold and become the Scarlet Witch. There's still a plot hole with my theory though... I figured that the Wundagore Mountain in the 616 universe was the only one (the original) and that's why, when it was destroyed, it destroyed all the other Darkhold's in all the other universes. There still needs to be an explanation as to HOW those other copies got to those universes though. That's where it falls down. Why just ONE Book of Vashanti and MULTIPLE Darkholds??? Usually good and evil are meant to balance each other out. 🤔🤷♂️

That's actually a really interesting theory and it kinda makes sense. Wanda 616 is meant to be the Scarlet Witch while all the other Wanda's are not. Hence why Wanda 616 has such a tragic backstory. Even in the movie she made a reference about how she's meant to rule everything but that's not what she wants. I hope our Wanda can still get her happy ending despite being the Scarlet Witch.
Youre right. They said as much around the time of Wanda vision, producers (some interview) said the MCU eversion of the Nexus being" is a being that exists ONLY in that universe. In this case, the scarlet witch. Also in the commercials during Wanda vision, the "nexus" depression medicine says something like "A unique, one of a kind solution". Every other wanda has a life, a husband, a ability to move on. Its the SW that seems to attract pain.
I've always wondered if Vision would pass the Temporal Aura test from Loki, since the Mind Stone was ultimately acting like Vision's soul, giving him sentient life. The White Vision would definitely not pass the test and would be evaporated, but I think OG Vision would have.

Or, Wanda had kids in most of the other universes, and 616 Wanda created them/dreamed them up from her dreams (dreams are peeks into other multiverses). Maybe in one of the multiverses she had biological kids the old fashion way.

But people only look different in another universe if the parents are different. That Billy and Tommy looked like the same ones from WandaVision, meaning he has to be the father in that universe too.
I feel like we need a video explaining power levels of characters because with all of this "thanos is the strongest" and the "infinity stones are the greatest power of the universe" then the celestials come in, then some "Gods" the TVA then other powerfull beings like wizards and creatures like the creator of the all black, it gets confusing as to who is a bigger threat than the other.

The miracle of _WandaVision_ was how it sidestepped smoothly from the Englehart stories right around the Byrne stories, sparing Wanda the violence Byrne did to her character (in his belief that Vision is just a toaster and she's more fun as a villain, and also mentally ill). This theory reads like a similar, highly compatible, sidestep. Fingers crossed.

Vision didn't exist in the 838, because Vision was created after the Ultron program became corrupted. Because we see functional Ultron sentries, we know that the Ultron program never became corrupted in the 838, hence no Vision.
Corruption isn’t the only reason Ultron could have created vision, perhaps this Ultron isn’t fully sentient and tried to be more helpful by becoming sentient.
If they look like her children with Vision then he’s their father in that universe (if she created them biologically and they’re not products of her magic bec she could’ve manifested them too if she wanted). It's cool to talk about this from a creative standpoint but really he wasn't in it because of Paul Bettany's small bit in a certain trial. I think they were just playing it safe. When he does show up I hope that he is key to bringing Wanda back from the dark.. All he has to do is get her to feel his forehead like she did in Wandavision and she will feel that it's really him. It will be Wanda's final redemption moment.

I didn’t really get into the mcu and marvel until the beginning of last year. I’ve now watched everything they have put out, at least everything confirmed canon by the mcu, and thanks to your videos I’m able to learn so much and be a part of the mcu now while it’s happening. I really, really needed a hobby and marvel has become that so thank you!
Also side note if I wanted to start getting into the comics does anyone have recommendations where to start? Maybe guides?
Revising after news of Vision's new show
At the end of Dr Strange 2, white Vision went to rescue unconscious Wanda from the ruble then takes her to the new finished house in Westview without the hex (since he has red vision's memory) where they both help to heal and then have kids... although it'll be hard for her to settle in Westview after the whole hex thing but she'll find her way around her neighbors... Don't forget Agatha is still under her spell.

Didn't Elizabeth Olsen state in an interview that she was under the impression that Vision does exist in Earth 838 and that they are just not together possibly even divorced? Now I know unless it comes from Feige but someone had to give her that idea for her to say it in an interview no?
Yeah because the only children we’ve seen are what her children with Vision look like, meaning he’s their father in that universe too
If she can just "create" the boys in any universe, why can't she just re-create them in ours without the hex?
Wanda and vision cant physically create the twins without the hex so she would have to pick an abandoned town and create a new hex where her and vision can have segs

Vision does exist in other universes like the zombie universe from “What If…?” But that universe had some other stuff to worry about like Scarlet Zombie Witch.

Vision is a noble, almost purely good character, so much so that he can wield Mjolinir. There’s a reason that, for instance, Superman is not paired with “femme fatales” as the darker Batman often is. It used to nag at me that Vision would fall for someone who is somewhat morally gray. But Ryan’s suggestion that Wanda/Vision are inherently “linked” by the mind stone makes a lot of sense. They are “complete” when together.
My quibble is the Wanda in alternate universes without Vision should also be lacking an extension of her humanity or conscience.
This whole video makes so much sense! I would love for Wanda 616 to come back with her memories erased. It would be such an interesting dynamic! Especially if they also bring back White Vision and Billy & Tommy as teenagers! There's so much potential for Wanda's story moving forward! Including the universal differences between Wanda 616 and Wanda 838.

Because the males are the ones that gets them pregnant. So even if she had them the old fashion way that means the kids are getting wandas genes more than the fathers.
I like this theory. Makes me think that we should be thinking of 616 Vision as a failed Ultron - the exception not the norm. Like maybe in most other Marvel universes Ultron always gets his beautiful body. Vision being created would have been more favorable for He Who Remains.
Exactly. Also, while Vision is powerful, he’s not invincible. He was almost critically injured by Thanos’s henchman. Ultron could’ve still be defeated while in his seemingly “perfect” form.

Ok so Wanda's probability powers saved her " as always" her powers aren't to do the impossible but the improbable. Like not disarming the missiles blinking light but disarming the triggering mechanism.
In first 3 marvel phase it was all about black Widow evolving.
Now in this phase it's all about Wanda.

My theory is she saved herself like she did as a child subconsciously and will suffer some sort of disassociation and vision is basically the same since no memories and they will build a new relationship

I would like to ask a hypothetical question, in the first Dr. Strange movie, if Dormammu had succeeded and earth was in his dimension, could he kill the celestial inside? Is his dark dimension actually the same one as the one of the dark elves in the Thor movies?

They should have introduced vision again in m.o.m.
