- After an unfortunate incident in Florida during SICK WEEK, I took Vicki’s 1965 El Camino straight to the body shop when we got home.
It’s been out of sight, but not out of mind. We’ve missed having it here at the shop, and I couldn’t wait to show it to Vicki when I got it home. ❤️

May wanna consider having the El Camino ceramic coated while it’s paint is as perfect as it’s ever gonna be. Jax Wax boys can probly help ya there Bill. House of Pearls knocked it outta the park there!!! Paul did an incredible job on matching the paint!!!!
PS: Uncle Bob looks the healthiest & happiest I’ve ever seen him in any video!! I pray that all of that continues for a long time!!!

Id like to see Tanner and you pull that 327 apart and just do an old school "freshen up" strip the heads,hot tank everything. Reseat the valves, hone the cylinders. New pistons,,weigh amd balance the connecting rods,,all in house.. And put it back together..It only has work right, not make a ton of power... I think that would be tue coolest "engine build" fk all to it Bill... Why not?

They did a awesome job on the elcamino you are right it looks better than it did when you bought it and at the time I didn't think that was possible. The Montecarlo is going to look so nice when there done with all the new trim. Vicki's Mailcamino looks absolutely gorgeous. HOP does really really nice work. That Dark Grey F100 they did looks awesome. If I keep my 82 c10 I wanna paint it 68Corvette Bronze. Search 1968 Corvette Bronze Camaro to see the color. Pontiacs version of it is called Autumn Bronze.

I’m just getting caught up on the latest content. I’ve been in the hospital and had two surgeries this week. Off work against my will due to a pesky wound vac. So glad I’m feeling well enough to watch and especially that I’m still kicking.
You think maybe the starter solenoid spring could be getting hung up intermittently? I've had a few in the past that would do that. Not kicking back out fully allowing the starter teeth to hit the flywheel sometimes? Just a thought great videos. Cars are looking great!!

I had a 250 cu in six pot with 3 on the tree. Those motors are bullet proof stump pullers and give good mileage.
I would reckon on the 6 pot:
-low boost turbo/ belt driven supercharger like Torque storm
-blow through 4 barrel carb (easier to keep it set up) and makes masses of torque
-nice custom extractor exhaust- the beat is crazy addictive out of a 6pot
-5 speed overdrive gearbox
-suspension and brake upgrades
Momma will not notice untill she tries to overtake another vehicle....with good gas mileage
And you would have something unique, reliable and at least double the horsepower...
Oh yeah, dont forget the beat......

I could see the color doesn't match great in their videos.I dunno why they didn't just blend the hood. It had the perfect body lines to do so.
@TheOldMan'sGarage, I sure could use those kick down linkages for the powerglide transmission. Currently have a 1963 C10 with a powerglide, but I don't have the kick down linkage for it.

I would stick to the 327 but it is preaty rocked ,

If you want to save that 327 crank get in touch with Doug Flarity at ALL SHAFT REPAIR in Marne Michigan. He did great work on my DZ 302 crank years ago that had the thrust surface wiped out. He is also the one who does Steve Morris's crank repair.

Personally I would put the 327 over the 350 in the El Camino. That El Camino is so nice. I would proudly drive that thing.
