The sad truth is that after the important roles many Hawaiians played in the Gold Rush of 1848 and 1849, the number of modern day goldseekers from the 50th State has declined to the point where we would have trouble fielding a basketball team. JC is the iconic modern day example of the minin Hawaiians for whom the richest creek in the Mother Lode was named...Kanaka Creek Thanks again for all of your videos. They are the next best thing to being there.

Hiya Jerry, nice gold dude! Some of it looks like rose gold, beautiful spot on the river. Hey I live in South Louisiana, we don't get snow but we have marshes, lots of mud it looks like potting soil, if we get stuck in the mud and no one to pull you out, we tie sticks too our tires. If you cut the sticks 3ft long and put 6 of them. on each tire it gives you more traction, you tie them too where it makes your tires wider if you know what I'm saying. I'm pretty sure it would work in the snow. It's like putting tracks like on a bulldozer.
You could try putting them on the back first, in the 1940's they would use their car's and trucks to catch alligators, and to haul them out the marshes, if you Google alligator hunting in the early 1900's in Louisiana. You will see what I'm talking about, it works great for two wheel drive also. It rides on top instead of sinkidng down, and getting bogge down. So happy trails and stay safe and healthy. Cya!

Bring a deadhead (land anchor} and use your winch to get you past that bad spot.Where you were at didn't have any trees to anchor to so put out the deadhead and you will be on your way.Its a bit touchy to do on a sloop but that sections was flat.

@@californiamotherlodeprospect It's a good idea to bring a 2ton come along as well.I mentioned the slope of the road which is usually for drainage but it can be hell to stay on it if its covered with snow or ice .The come along might be the way to keep you on the road with a helper who's trained to operate it.I've picked up good ones on Craigslist and rigging like shackles and tow ropes and nylon straps for tree anchoring.Will be looking for your next adventure and maybe the snow will be gone,lol.
