I hate this sentiment that you HAVE to think that the manga does everything the best because that’s the original. Personally I absolutely love the manga, it’s my favorite manga of all time. But David Production just goes above and beyond when it comes to adapting JoJo. David Production are true JoJo fans that really understands the series. They expand and improve on so many things. Like in the recent adaptation of part 5, they expanded the torture dance which was only a few panel to like a full length segment with awesome unique aesthetic that still fits the spirit of JoJo. They also made King Crimson easier to digest and made his power much more consistent with small edits. Which is a vast improvement since that’s one of the big flaws of part 5. David Production even keep contact with Araki and run stuff by him for his opinion. So while I do think Diavolo’s appearance in the manga is fantastic, I still have to say that the anime did it best. The fact that they lengthened the scene and made it very quiet and chilling to set a perfect atmosphere. And the added time skip was just so damn perfect. Edit: For the people saying that the added time skip made no sense because Diavolo cut himself off I would have to disagree.
