My back and shoulder were a bit sore the next day, I will warm up next time! ;)

Especially on the road in that crazy traffic 😱😂 Rhett looked in his absolute element playing cricket with the locals, what an experience! Hope he’s keeping healthy! Really looking forward to the rest of your India series 🤗
I would love for you to ask the indian host about the 'festival' about which the kids were talking about in which they had those bracelet type threads on their hands. The name of the festival is- 'Raksha Bandhan' Hint- it's a festival between sisters and brothers, the sisters (could be real, cousin, sometimes classmates, female relatives, or close friends) tie that thread as a mark of love and brother promises to always proyect her forever no matter what, and also gifts her something. The girl also has to make a tika on his forehead and give him a dessert, i prefer a 'barfi'.
Many foreign tourists only show poor and dirty India. Requesting you please show real India also. Rest God bless you and love you both 😘. Welcome to India ❤️🔥🇮🇳.

If you have time then visit south india specially kerala, Tamilnadu, Goa and Assam, Mizoram, uttrakhand, leh, ladakh Tripura. These all states are very beautiful. If possible theses all states are explore.
To be honest, in India, the digital payments ecosystem is more developed than in most European nations or other places I have been to, thanks to the ubiquity of UPI and online wallets. So when Rhett says he had to withdraw cash since all transactions were cash-based, you could even see a QR code being displayed at the tiny local grocery store where he paid via cash. Hope you guys visit the former capital of India (Kolkata) as well, instead of the mainstream Delhi-Agra-Rajasthan-Goa tour!
How is it more developed though. It doesn’t even work without the user needing an Indian bank account and phone number. We’ve travelled all over the world and never had to draw cash because everywhere accepts Visa cards and Apple Pay which we use on our Apple Watch. I’m not sure how it can be called more developed than most European nations.
@@RhettandClaire just because European nations/ the US/ Canada etc and their digital payments ecosystem is reliant on Apple and it leaves their citizens handicapped in terms of digital payments in India, one cannot conclude India’s behind in terms of digital payments. Although Apple is growing in India, it is yet to reach the majority of the population who have Android devices and do not require Apple Pay. Indians mostly use Google Pay/ PhonePe/ PayTM for their online transactions which have UPI, wallet, payments bank as well as other features. As a foreigner, you can use your international cards for POS transactions in India. If you want to avail PayTM/ other online wallets, you may load money using the Airtel Payments Bank account which you can easily obtain on getting an Airtel SIM card at a nominal fee. Do the two systems operate differently? Yes. But can any person easily perform online payments/ transactions in India? Also yes. Just because the Indian system is different from that of a few countries, doesn’t make it inferior in quality/ technicality/ data privacy. Apple Pay wasn’t operationalised keeping the privacy aspect in mind, among others reasons. I could take a calculated guess and claim that the number of users/ daily transactions of online payments in India is more than the entire population of perhaps Europe and the US combined. And if such a massive system can function robustly, I’m sure certain things are rightly in place…just as they should be.

Great video. I just discovered your content. About 10 years I was travelling with my gf and randomly played street cricket with some kids in Varanasi. I'm Aussie, and like you always dreamed of playing cricket in India. It was such a fun experience. The kids loved it, the locals and tourists loved it, and my gf (wife now) who is German, and didnt even know i played cricket, still says its the highlight of the trip! My back and shoulder were a bit sore the next day, I will warm up next time! ;)
Nothing like a good ol’ travel vlog, our favourite 🤗🤗🤗 Love seeing your first impressions and reactions. Especially on the road in that crazy traffic 😱😂 Rhett looked in his absolute element playing cricket with the locals, what an experience! Hope he’s keeping healthy!
Really looking forward to the rest of your India series 🤗
Yay! Thank you guys😁🙏🏻. We’re excited to share all our videos with you 😁😁
I would love for you to ask the indian host about the 'festival' about which the kids were talking about in which they had those bracelet type threads on their hands.
The name of the festival is- 'Raksha Bandhan'
Hint- it's a festival between sisters and brothers, the sisters (could be real, cousin, sometimes classmates, female relatives, or close friends) tie that thread as a mark of love and brother promises to always proyect her forever no matter what, and also gifts her something.
Both sides are real India
The ugly and the beautiful
What's the harm in it though we should accept it ..the India which you are referring to ( ie:poor) is also a part of our country and btw most of us do live in that kinda lifestyle...
If you guys are staying in India for few weeks then consider Visiting the Cultural Capital of India The Kolkata, City of Joy, during Durga Pujo to witness the craze of Biggest Festival. You will surely enjoy the vibe of Bangaliana and pujo parikrama. It's a not to miss event for everyone who want to experience the vibe of art, culture, religion, population.
Great to see you both in our great country India 🇮🇳
Welcome to India Rhett & Claire 😃
Most welcome again and again.. 🇮🇳🇮🇳
tbh i think india has one of the best digital payment ecosystem built and we don't even carry cash ourselves recently.....paytm,phonepe,googlepay are available on almost all little shops.
It really does, it’s just unfortunate that foreigners can’t use those systems. We’ve had a hard time paying for things here👎🏻
@@RhettandClaire did you try using your card with BHIM UPI? Or Phone Pe? You can register you card there to transact using qr code.
@@a.chaudhary2571 yes we tried. It doesn’t work
@@RhettandClaire our govt is already negotiating with different countries to accept the upi, seems since the foreign banks don't have the upi, it's does not work with the local apps even if its a visa or mastercard.
North East of India is most unexplored try visit there you will be amazed to see natural beauty
wooo finally india vlogs! Hahah whats funny is that during the 9 days I wen't I never realized that I was basically vegetarian for over a week 😆
Hahaha yeah the food is so good, you don’t even miss meat😂🙌🏻
@@RhettandClaire lot meat in India too it's just Hindi belt more vegetarian s
@@RhettandClaire yes.. When you have so much too eat why to kill anyone..
Now, that is some huge endorsement.
Thanks from a lifetime vegetarian.
@@RhettandClaire dont over eat, otherwise u may suffer from bad stomach spices are generally too heavy for foreigners what ever u are eating u should be below the limit.
Also try avoiding slums and areas with huge crowd visit ladakh and kashmir instead of punjab and other middle area states visit northeast and Kerela also if u visit agra only visit taj mahal dont go anywhere except the taj, also visit goa, lakshyadweep and andaman and Nicobar island.
Also u can visit rajasthan and there are many hotels in which u can have royal food and see the castle of kings and queens converted to hotels, also u can see many forts and jal mahal translates to water castle
Came Tamil Nadu .I bet you will never see the hospitality Better then here 💯🌝😊✨. Eastern gats , Western gats , temples ,hills ,rivers ,falls ,and queen of hills in India (nilgiris)never miss this in India to see
Binge watched your all 5 vlogs in India and all were phenomenally great.
Waiting for new one!
Glad you like them! We're planning a new one for Sunday😀🙏🏻
In India even small shops accept UPI payment... No need to keep cash all the time in India.
Those small boys were talking about Rakshabandhan festival where sisters tie a thread called "Rakhi" to their brothers and in return brothers promise their sisters to protect them forever. The word "RAKSHA" in Rakshabandhan means protection in Hindi language.
Foreigners can’t use the Indian UPI payment systems.
Thank you for letting us know about the festival😊
I request u to visit south , west , east and northeast India also u will found dt u can't not imagine...... Ancient culture , dish , mornument ..... It's my heartly request to u..... Welcome to India. 🇮🇳🇮🇳🙏🙏 Namastey
Rupiah is right Rupee is just the britisized version of Rupiah! Rupiah means currency in Sanskrit.
Love the video💕
😊 Another great video. Very sorry to hear about Rhett being unwell 😔, I hope he (and both of you) are well. Looking forward to seeing the rest of your travels and please keep safe. Health and best wishes to both of you from the UK. 😊👍
We appreciate you, thank you!🥰
17:12 mint Rakshabandhan is brother sister fastival 👍
*The festival where boys have those designer bands on hand is about love and duty of brothers and sister. We call it Rakshabandhan.* Meaning the bond of protection.
You guys really did well with editing like you provided proof while experiencing all things..that's really great and I wish you all the best and have funn in India
The best part for me is when he was playing cricket with the locals. You can find cricket in every street and every corner in India, We call it gully cricket.
Edit- I want to congratulate on the authenticity of your content. You came to experience and show the real India unlike other foreign travellers who come with prejudice and bias showing what India was viewed as many many years ago and not the real one, the present India. I won't say don't show the negatives but be authentic and true to what you see and experience.
My cousin works in Manipal Hospital 😀 and i recently had a surgery there. Was impressed by their hospitality 😊👍
Hehe, as an Indian and a Delhiite, it's fun to see my city from the eyes of foreigners and see them making sense of the messy yet endearing locales of this country. Hope you guys have an enriching time here. Are you going to be traveling to various parts, like North and South, or are you going to explore more of North India? Try visiting Punjab, the Golden Temple, Wagah Border. Awesome experiences.
Hahaha glad you enjoy it!😁😁. We’re traveling to Ladakh soon after the golden triangle 😍
@@RhettandClaire foreigners go to Taj Mahal or slums of Delhi and Mumbai. Indian tourists go to Rajasthan and Ladakh. Ladakh will be far more epic.
Wagah border is Pakistani name
ATTARI BORDER is correct name and it is named after maharaja Ranjit Singh's army general
Don't say wagah next time it is disrespect to our country and soldiers
@@-abhi did we say “Wagah” in this video?
@@RhettandClaire He's referring to my comment I reckon. Do ignore the fragile ego of the hyper-national Indian male.
Such an amazing video❤❤. First time India is presented in a good way by a foreign RUclipsr. You did a great job❤❤❤
hardball negotiating for 50 rupees 🤣
😉😈
Thank you so much to showing good side of India.. ❤️
You guys should come to Kerala in December or January. Its the best time to come to hillstations and experience the Cold climate(not that it snows🤗),mainly a part called the western ghats(there are many states included). Also try to visit ladakh and Kashmir in North India. Its one of the beautiful places you can go
Welcome to India 🇮🇳
You are belong to the country of Nelson Mandela I am a big fan of them

Thank you 🙏🏼
Hey guys welcome to India. At park when you saw the boys there were lot of decorated threads wraped around their right hand. That is "RAKHI" or "RAKHSHA BHANDHAN" IT is festival of brothers and sisters in which sisters tie rakhi around their hand which signifies that she is asking her brother to protect her, to support her etc. And brothers take vow to protect them in any problem they (sisters) if get into any trouble.
Very beautiful. Thank you for explaining that to us 🙏🏼
@@RhettandClaire that rakhi will protect her brother from all troubles also.
India is the world leader in digital transactions! We have kind of stopped carrying cash infact.
Lucky for you locals. For the foreigners this system does not work at all. You require an Indian bank account and phone number at minimum. Both of which we cannot get.
Finally a foreigner who is really playing good cricket in India . I guess you are from south africa that's why 😁
Treat India as your home. ❤🇮🇳🙏🏻
😂😂
Visit any of the northeastern part of Indian states, there you'll experience completely different from mainland India. Be it geographical, fooding habit, looks, hospitality, culture and many more... Looking forward to visit us soon. Warm greetings from Nagaland 🥰
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Nice to see 17:00 You guys arrived at good time .... It's Rakshabandhan festival that those kids were talking about.
It's a festival of brother and sister's bonding and love 👍

Looking at India as a vlogger is like looking at an elephant in a room from a keyhole but overall assessment is genuine 👍
"Atithi Devo Bhava" 🙏🏻❤️
which means guests are God to us!
Enjoy your time mate! I miss my country which is why I end up seeing videos like this on RUclips!! 😆
Trafic rules here are really messed up, i will say. But considering the fact that we are 2nd most populated country after china, i think its understandable. Dont be shocked about traffic here 😃
Really soo beautiful India❣️from NYC
I will also go to India💕
I hope your experience to visit india is good... Love from Ghaziabad ☺☺
Can i just say that this is by far the most beautiful video i have saved in my favourite playlist.
Thanks from india, it was a pleasant surprise to know that you guys are from south africa.
Don't take me as a racist, but i like to know it when someone is not from the us, my reason is that people from other nations seem to be a little more rooted and that's something i just like anyone else appreciate.
Moments i loved, seeing you guys have some expected and unexpected culture shocks, like so many animals on the road, etc.
Also liked to see him play cricket in india, her tasting 'gulabjamun',and many more things.
Lots of love.
10:01 india is actually the most advanced country in the world in digital payment so you don't need cash in most parts of the country
Foreigners can’t use those UPIs.
Rhett can bat, I'll give him that!
Happy travels both of you and much love!
Thank you for coming to India 🇮🇳❤️
If you can play cricket in India - you don’t need anything else to experience and mixing in the culture :) amazing
Sweat also helps body acclimatize fastest. You guys are fantastic.

Welcome to Kerala ❤️🔥💕
Your cricket shots were awesome👌
@@TarangaDatta nicely written, brother! 👏🏻💯
I was wondering y PPL here didnt evn notice that...finally I found some peace aftr cng your comment...
@@TarangaDatta Exactly, also India should not be reliant on a foreign company like Apple at all.
17:06 It's actually an Indian festival called rakhi , where a sister ties rakhi ( the band's you see on the wrist) to her brother and swears that they will protect each other..
You guys are always welcome in India🤗. Make sure to visit East West South North India then you can observe the beauty of Cultural Bio diversity of this country. Many countries in one Nation that's India. Loved your neutral content 🥰 earned a Subscriber.
What a video and nice Editing and very good traveling
Glad you liked it
17:15 this is a part of Raksha bandhan (an Indian festival where sisters tie those bands around their brothers/ cousin brothers and brothers in-turn gift them something. Symbolically this means Sister asking for the brother to protect her and be by her side.
These bands aren't a part of other festivals
We respect and worship everything, I mean nature be it animals, mountains, rivers etc. because it’s all about nature. Everything in nature is important for our survival.
Love it❤️
