First Impressions of India from an 11-Year Old American Girl | DAY 1 | 37 DAYS IN INDIA AND NEPAL

  • Our first day in India and speaking Hindi to locals, we begin our exploration of Delhi, with Selah's main goal being henna or mehendi.
We're Selah and Lloyd, a father-daughter team. Starting in Delhi, we're taking the long route to Kathmandu by road, rail, and river going to the wildest places, craziest festivals, tallest mountains, holiest pilgrimage sites, and busiest cities we could find.
We want to bring you on a journey that's focused on engaging with the world, sharing kindness, and pushing our limits, Our experiences have been enriching and diverse so far, but now we'll travel outside of America on the Indian subcontinent. For months we learned Hindi and prepared by reading tales about India.
Lloyd and Selah are co-creators of Love the World and a father-daughter adventure team. We want to share our adventures, crafts, fun, generosity, and love with you. We like to fossil hunt, travel with purpose, and connect with people and wild animals all while giggling, learning about science and the world around us, and giving back.
You are why we are posting, so we'd love to hear from you in the comments. Any appropriate comments are great, whether for suggestions, to cheer us on, or just connect to be friendly. If you like what we share, please consider subscribing so you can keep up with us and also help us grow our channel. In that way, we can be co-creators and viewers. We both need each other. Thank you.

Sir, Your were talking about India and Nepal, Not Pakistan and Afganistan. Why there is a hope to return back in America that too in single Peace? We always Say "Athiti Devo Bhav". We are not Terrorist so please Rectify it😡. We always Believe the Whole World as Family "Vasudhev Kutumbakam"

Thank you for asking. That's a good question. The aspiration is not related to any culture or person or threat, but more just that we wanted the trip to go well and safely, so that we could return in one piece, especially since airplanes, trains, and walking in jungles and in the tallest mountains are not without risk of injury or death..

You didn't have to compare it with any other country to try to sound reasonable. Simply shows your inbred racism and inferiority complex. Hope to remind of all the cases of eve teasing foreigners in the streets, along with one particular case where a 13 year old was killed in Goa. Wasn't Pakistan or Afghanistan.

Look, I don’t mean to be an ass, but I’m in India at this very moment. I’m also an American. I’ve been been in Delhi for nearly 2 months, and I’ve found very little of it that looks like most of the things you’ve shown here. I realize it’s nice to show only the good stuff. And people like seeing all the good stuff, but from my perspective, I’ve seen VERY little that looks as good as most of what you’ve shown. Although, Delhi has many good things. I haven’t seen anything about the trash that is virtually everywhere… much that smells. People who casually urinate in public. It’s completely fair to say that it’s very literally like a living dump site. And Indian citizens don’t seem to care in the slightest. Traffic in this city isn’t just chaotic, it’s terrifying. And not least significant is the general decay and squalor of many, if not most of the buildings here.
Like I said, there are many great things here… the food, the unbelievably low cost of living, the ancient temples, and many of the people (most of whom are stoic and appear unfriendly at first, but once known turn into wonderful humans). Anyway… I think it’s unfair to show only the good stuff, when there’s, in my opinion, much more that’s worse.

The Mehandi's Walla(heena)costs you very expensive, the heena will cost you approx 300 for both hands, but you gave 800 for both hands was not worth at all, pls try to bargain with shopkeepers next time.

Such a wonderful partner both of you have. A daughter has her father in all those travelling. Just bumped into your channel. Hope you enjoyed India. It could be a bit overwhelming and complex but should be an experience of a lifetime. India is awesome.

Not trying to be a party pooper here but the henna artist clearly scammed you guys.I don't remember the price for getting both hands done but it's nowhere near 800 Rs(probably around 100-200).There are scammers everywhere, just be careful.
