  • This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. A new paradigm of collaborative leadership is emerging. This non-hierarchical model focuses on ordinary contributions from many rather than the extraordinary contributions of a few. In this inspiring and engaging talk Donte Quinine discusses the evolution of leadership and how simple acts of leadership can have a huge impact.
Donte Quinine is an enthusiastic advisor, teacher, and mentor determined to inspire and encourage his students to reach their full potential. He holds a BA in Education from the University of Oregon and a MA in Leadership from Gonzaga. A former collegiate and professional basketball player, Donte continues to pursue health and wellness as an avid yoga practitioner and instructor. Donte is the Director of Student Programs and Leadership Instructor at Wenatchee Valley College. He also facilitates workshops and retreats on effective leadership, communications, team building, and personal wellness.
About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
