😊 pastor you are on point with that the man has to be flexible but at 15 my maturity was in tact and I knew where we were headed and that’s right there were still times I wanted to go and did the club and partying but when I did, it was with his children, or our parent, you know we would go… the oldest daughter was two years younger than me and as I told her and her sister that I am not here to be their mother, I will be their friend because they have mothers. I’m here to love my husband and that’s what I’m gonna do. It worked out well there’s always bumps though.

Statistics are based on the general experience of people. It doesn't mean you cannot be an exception if you have the features he mentioned like maturity, flexibility, willingness to respect your husband regardless of age, patience, etc.

Thanks for this message Pst K. This is honestly the issue I'm facing right now, my parents are refusing to accept my man because he's 20yrs older than I am. I honestly don't know what to do, he's intentional about everything he does and a very disciplined person which is something I find rare in young men. American Men think old starts at 30 and have been dragging negatively 30 and 40 year old women who want relationships really bad for the last few years which is disgusting and insane to me because those ages aren't old. There is nothing wrong with anyone having preferences but the superficiality of humans have really reached it's peak which is affecting the marriage rate significantly. Men act like they don't want women and women the same yet they need each other! Relationships have never been this divisive.
With a generational difference especially if the woman is older, it needs a different kind of grace. And I mean a man at 21 or 22 years and a woman at 38years and above. I have seen the challenges in this type from a close friend and I don't know if such can work. Is there anyone in this kind of set up?
I was in one recently w/ a guy 15 yrs younger...i gotta tell you..i was very self conscious as well as flatterd that he was attracted to me.. i enjoyed the attention,his company and the intimacy was fiery🔥...but yes i felt a lil insecure abt meetn his friends or family as well as bringn him around mines...we felt comfortable in each others presence but thats far as it got.......im older and i had to admit to my self that we really didnt complete each other in a way i could live with & be comfortable with....we werent on the same wavelengths in my opinion as a couple with a big age gap.

Consequently we tend to be on the same wavelength when discussing different subjects be it fashion, music, politics, etc. I do not belong to the category of older people that are completely oblivious to the mindset of a younger person. Understanding and appreciating the mindset of your partner and making the necessary adjustments while also carefully introducing your wealth of wisdom is key. I’m 47 she’s 30.
