I remember pushing away a man who wanted to have a relationship with me in my twenties simply because he mentioned sex during our conversation. At that time, as a young Christian, any mention of sex by an unmarried man was a red flag. Fast forward eight years, and I find myself single and waiting, while he is happily married. I recently met him again, and he spoke fondly of how much he loved me back then, laughing as he reminisced. I feel regretful, and it honestly hurts. It seems like he was the only one for me, and I lost that opportunity. I just wish I could turn back the hands of time. I pray for healing from this pain.
