Love your content. After the first print you said you moved your rollers bc I have the same printer & keep getting those same streaks...how did you move your rollers?
Thanks for sharing...not sure if its the camera, but it looks like the fine powder is sitting on the image. I noticed the same when I did the hack on a white shirt. I guess this is normal for the hack possibly. I prefer sublimation over all unless it is a true DTF printer...those images always look flawless.
If you are using a good dtf powder and film, it is absolutely beautiful. The colors are more vibrant than sublimation. I use a Sawgrass SG500 actual sublimation printer, the converted Epson 2720 and a converted Epson 8550. If you get your ICC codes in, that machine is incredible! I like it better than my Sawgrass.
For those asking about the roller marks, just incase no one answered it......printer settings....Maintenance....extended settings....print densety -4, or reduce until you dont see the lines.....i use the same setting on both my epson F100/170 and epson ET 2811..........personaly i am not over keen on the powder "hack" , for me it feels too waxy on dark cotton. but a lot have succeeded i think....hope this helps at least someone.
I am so glad you did this using this printer because I have the same printer that I converted. I want to try this same hack on my pritner...my image is more of a photo and not a full page and some words...I may try it to see...but thanks for sharing!! I will share my results as well😊
I have an 8550 ET and I keep getting about a half inch line across the bottom of my prints. Almost as if the print head is putting down a extra layer of ink. Does anyone know why
Oracal 651 white, you can use a white glitter, you can also get HTVRont film for sublimating on dark fabric in matte and glossy. There is also Siser Easy Subli. They all work well.
Has anyone had there image come up off the white vinyl? I have did this hack a coulple times and after the first wash it comes up? I used the same film and powder in this video
@yourslottybestfriend4355 that is what you are saying...the sublimation ink does not stick to the vinyl, right? When you wash it a few times, it comes off?
Hey I like your Videos! Can you tell me please if the print quality has improved much as you changed to the six color printer? I make the stuff just for fun and I have also the Epson 8550 but I'm thinking to change to the SC-T 2100 for printing direct from the roll on the Siser Easy Color DTV. But it has only four colors and I'm not sure if the print quality is worse or if it's equal because the DTV isn't as good as photo papers and I woudn't see much of a difference. Thanks and go on with the Videos. People like it :)
Thank you. I will say with the added 2 colors, I feel like the color is more true. Sometimes with sublimation the colors come out a tad bit altered. But with the other 2, I haven’t had those issues
Hi. Has anyone figured out the roller marks using the 8550?
I always have to put white paper behind my dtf film when using my printer sublimation f170

Great video..thanks
Which vinyl type you used can you give link and details plz
What the name of the white you put under picture
Is this the process for all dark shirts ? Or just black ?
Have you try black vinylinstead white in 100 % cotton
Thank you for the links. I just purchased both the powder and the DTF film.
Yess! 🙌🏽🙌🏽
Love the video. Great job
i have the ET15000 and it wont grab the DFt paper with out anything attached to it
There’s no way to move the rollers on the et-8550?
I’m not sure. I need to look more into it and just haven’t had the time
I have this same printer and want to try this...I guess I will be researching as well

I used this method and it still bleeds into the shirt . No colors show at all. Any tips ?

Are you using plain htv or sublimation htv?
Plain htv
Did you make adjustments on the f170 to prevent pizza wheels? What were the print settings? Mac or windows computer?😊
printer settings....Maintenance....extended settings....print densety -4, or reduce until you dont see the lines.
What does it feel like?
Can you use the black dtf powder to get them on darker colored shirts instead of using the vinyl?
The colors from the sublimation ink still wouldn’t be visible on dark colors. They need a white backing to be seen
I experimented last night with it. Disaster 😂. So we’ll just stick to using white vinyl lol. Thanks!
If you read the description of black powder, it tells you to only use it with an actual dtf printer.
Do you use black powder on top of white sider htv
which side of the sheet are you suppose to print on? do you have to mirror your image?
You print on the matte side and yes you mirror
How did you get the white in the eyes and web on dtf film without white ink?
The white vinyl is showing through the parts that’s missing the white ink
When using my sublimation printer, every time when the paper goes through it sounds like it is crumbling , could the rollers need cleaning
More than likely, yes
That looks good I have the same picture, I am making it for my little cousin
Thank you ☺️
Angie does it have to be Siser htv or any white htv
You should be able to use any white htv

I love it but use the power 1x
Will the ink fade ? After the washes
As long as it’s washed properly, no.
Has anyone had there image come up off the white vinyl? I have did this hack a coulple times and after the first wash it comes up? I used the same film and powder in this video
Did you say it washed off using sublimation ink?
@SimplybeingR I used the dtf hack on white vinyl and because it did not stick to the fibers after a couple of washes it starts to lift
@@yourslottybestfriend4355 ohhh, I thought you said your sublimation ink washed off the HTV
@yourslottybestfriend4355 that is what you are saying...the sublimation ink does not stick to the vinyl, right? When you wash it a few times, it comes off?
I just tried this today and it does not look great to me...I prefer sublimation...I will work on another way to do this

Beautiful!!
Thank you ☺️
@@AngelBDesigns you’re welcome ☺️
Did you use the white vinyl to supplement for the white in the image?
Sublimation ink doesn’t show on dark colors. Using the white allows us to see whole image
I love it
Thank you ☺️
Can you use the htv ront clear
You won’t be able to see the image because sub ink doesn’t show on dark colors
