- The newly announced Zelda game Echoes of Wisdom is releasing in 2024, which isn't quite the usual schedule for Zelda but sure, the fans want more.

It's very convenient that you're ignoring the fact that the original Legend of Zelda, Link's Awakening DX, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Wind Waker, and Four Swords Adventures all came out on even numbered years it's just happenstance

YES! If the game is going to be Zelda as the protagonist then it needs to be called The Legend of Link.
@@naruko191 The difference between Link and Zelda is that Zelda is actually more important than Link story wise. From the stuff we know so far, I don't think Link is going to working in the background as much as Zelda in the other games. So to call it the legend of Link would just be underwhelming.

I have a feeling they were gonna release Echoes of Wisdom in 2023 but Covid ruined everything and made them not able to finish TotK in time, in turn, also delaying development for Echoes of Wisdom. Just a theory.

i really dont think that pattern was an intentional thing to be honest. seems kind of weird to rather have the game be delayed to "follow tradition" just to follow a pattern that doesnt really matter. but yeah the staff does kinda look like the wand of gamelon lol
That 2009 game broke an even older trend. From 2000 to 2007, there was at least one (main series) Zelda game released every calendar year.
2000: Majora's Mask
2001: Oracles of Seasons/Ages
2002: Four Swords
2003: The Wind Waker
2004: Four Swords Adventures
2005: The Minish Cap
2006: Twilight Princess
2007: Phantom Hourglass
Then one every 2 years for the next decade.

I remember before E3 2019 I analyzed the release dates of all Zelda and found the same 2 year pattern which continued through BotW. however, it was already 2 years so I called they'd at the very least announce a new game that year. Well, that ended up being a 7-year gap. So as far as I'm concerned, even though they broke the pattern, they are trying to make up for lost time.

We don't need an albtw remake, I would prefer of we got one for the minish cap, or one of the oracle games. Albtw is technically a remake / sequel to alttp. I would also prefer of alttp was remade.
