Welcome to AZ I have been here for 47 years. The summers are a bit rough but The rest of the year is so nice here. I live in Glendale and there are mountains all around. :)
Ignore them! Of course AZ is hot, keep water in your car and take good care of your AC systems. Most locals run errands in the early morning or evenings when possible. The summers aren’t super fun but they’re tolerable, contrary to these comments. Yes, the Phoenix area is rapidly growing, luckily we have a great grid street system and functional freeways within the valley. Where there’s people, there traffic, but it’s not unreasonable. It’s city traffic. This growth has brought tons of new businesses, restaurants, and especially artisans to the area. If you want to get into politics, we are a flip state. You’ll hear plenty from both sides. AZ finally flipped blue this election mostly thanks to the Native American reservations. The argument that transplants are ruining our state politically, or any other way, is simply incorrect. The progression and growth of our state is hugely in part to transplants. The last two decades alone have brought us from Wild West to appropriately urbanized. Welcome to AZ! You will get through your first summer alive, I promise! Enjoy our scenery and food, most of us are happy to share!
Welcome to PHOENIX this summer your gonna want to go home stick in there you get used to the heat and find the coolest way to do anything is at night good luck
I'm moving from the Chi as well to Phoenix and your video is definitely hopeful bcuz it's definitely an adjustment not only moving to another home but to move to a whole new city is A REAL adjustment but watching your video gives me motivation to do it.. THANKS
Hi, I’m originally from the South Side of Chicago!!! ❤️ I live in central PHX now and my place is about $1k a month for a 2 bed/1bath with a pool, on-site laundry rooms, close to freeways/train, and lots of shopping close by. Good and bad things happen in all areas...I’ve lived in Gilbert, Arcadia Lite, Scottsdale, Mesa, Alhambra, and Uptown. It gets HOT here (I’ve seen 120 more than once) so good AC and hydration are your best friends. If it’s too much, it’s just a few hours to the mountains, or to the beaches in California or Mexico. Good luck with your move and keep us posted!

Just found your channel. Love to support fellow Phoenicians. Hope I run (not literally) into you. Would love to meet you. I've lived in the Valley of the Sun since 1978 & still love living here.
The best apartments in Phoenix aren’t in large complexes that are listed online. They’re in small privately owned places. I live in a single floor building in Arcadia with only 11 units. $925 for a 980 sq ft two bedroom with a front yard, front door facing the street, back door, covered parking, separate storage unit, and access to a pool. Not as fancy as some of the places shown here, but I much prefer living on a nice residential street surrounded by houses than in a large apartment complex. Also... my pool is open.
Something must have happened in the 9 months since this video. The prices you list seem reasonable, but I've been looking now and those prices are in the hood. Add 300-400 more for a decent place. You got in at just the right time. I may have to do what you did, make a short list and fly out there. Its crazy there now.
AZ looks great but the heat stories I hear are crazy. 😮 I remember a guy saying he had to drive once with oven mitts because of the steering wheel in the sun being too hot.
Hey girl, when you finally applied for an apartment, did you already have a job or did they let you do a deposit and advanced rent? I'm moving in a year, and this is the one thing I need to be more certain about. Anything will help!!
I just relocated to Phoenix 3 days ago, and I must say, apartment hunting is the worst. I came back to your video so I could check out the apartments you listed. They are all now at least over $350 more compared to the list when you checked them out. And they go by so quick too! Omg!☹️ I’m still searching for an affordable one that doesn’t have a “roach infestation” complaint in the reviews. 😩🙏🏾
Oh man I had no idea! Good luck to you I’m sure there’s something out there it might take time. And 😂 I could never forget all those roach/vandalism reviews something looks so perfect in pictures and then you end up having to say no haha
You know what, I was looking through my old notes and noticed I still have a complete list of EVERYTHING I was interested in. Warning ⚠️ there’s a lot!! But maybe there’s something in there that you haven’t seen already :) I’ve added the link to the description box!
@@lashere your list is very accurate, especially the “No-Go” group 💀😂 cuz I had checked all those out too. I ended up finding one at Glendale that didn’t seem bad. Hopefully I have a good stay there 🤞🏾🤗
Wow thank god I found your channel! I’m moving July 1st. I’m coming out to apt hunt on June 13th-I can’t wait! I just came back from visiting Mesa, AZ April 7th & I even checked out a daycare center for my daughter but unfortunately I wasn’t able to do any apt tours.😒😒 Can you list the apts that you did check out (NOT the final one you chose)? So those interested in moving there can have an idea of what ones to see. Thanks!😊 Congratulations!!🍾🎉🎈
@LoyalDeon Not yet!! :( I'm currently looking for a job, but as soon as I'm hired, I'm putting in my two weeks at my current job! -_- (just a bit harder than I thought it would be)
I'm moving to Phoenix from Tampa and am very nervous. I'm ready for a change. I make in the lower 6 figures which is big in Tampa being that the workforce doesn't offer high salaries. In with the government in management. I also have an MBA and am in my Doctoral Program. I have saved a little over 100k. I'm not a lavish person and am fine with renting for now. I want a 2b 2b apartment no more that 1400k in a decent area. Am I reaching for the stars? Would I need to take more time in Tampa to find a job first? I wild normally never move without a job. But I'm so over Tampa and my job! What do you think?
The prices here in Phoenix for buying to have went up 30 - 50% in the last 4 months. You may need to look a Allow just to see what you will get. If you want a decent area move to Scottsdale, North Scottsdale, Biltmore, Fountain Hills maybe Ahwatukee. Dint expect jobs to pay you want you are getting elsewhere here. They will lowball you even though prices her have shot up lately on everything including gas and groceries. You definitely Wil need a car with ac. Don't let anyone tell you the summers are beatable cause the summer just started in April and will end in November. I hope this helps.
@@selenat.4982 Thank you for the advice. I am excited about the move and am considering Ahwatukee for now. I've lowered my expectations of salary until I get there and network. I have a few government prospects but am really just wanting something basic until I get acclimated to the area. I hope to meet cool people like yourself once I arrive. Thanks for the information!!
Good video I'm moving out there at the end of this year from Akron ohio I've been trying to get out there for about 5 or 6 years what were the average prices for the apartments and what area are u looking at
Prices are going up but who knows what it will be in a year?! Since I got here it has changed a lot... lots of options tho! It honestly depends on location... lots of options & the realtors are great!
Hopefully this will be the year you make the move :) Pricing changes depending on location but for a decent 1-2 bedroom you can expect to pay $700-$1300. Those were the prices when I was searching in February! Recommend east or north Phoenix area
Not now, prices went up 35,40% which is ridiculous,in Az?good luck with that,I was living until last year in Maricopa paying for a house $1300 which was ok with 3 bed.2full baths, now I notice it that the same house cost$1590 to rent,in order for you to pay that, you need to get a job at least $30 an hour, please plan well ahead if you want to move to Arizona plus the AC consumes a big portion of your money.
Lol in a weird way I’m excited for it I’ve never been a fan of the cold cold negative degree weather, snow or ice so we shall see. I’ll update you in 4 or so months haha
Hello from Miami, loved this video 👌❤️! Would you mind sharing the apartment site or sites you used to find apartments like these? Zillow does Phoenix no justice or maybe it’s my luck lol 😅! Hope too hear from you soon and hope everything is good 😊
@@lashere please, Phoenix has increased in crime by 140% since last year. Don’t be fooled by some palm trees. This is one of the worst states to live in.
You're absolutely correct. People moving to AZ, from colder states, do not do their research at all. All they think about is the warm weather. You take away the warm weather and what are you left with? You're left with an overpriced apartment in the middle of the desert where jobs pay crap and cost of living is high.
Definitely recommend apartments.com it's the easiest site to group apartments based on size, price, amenities etc and you can save your favorites for easy access! Make sure to do your research, anything you like just search the address & google reviews is a great tool to help you know if there are any current resident complaints, bugs, violence or poor management. I had a LONG list of favorites and looking at reviews helped narrow it down REAL QUICK.
There is actually a large homeless population in Phoenix, just not in the area's where you were. I live in central Phoenix and can't go to the store , gas station etc. without being asked for money, just fyi.
Ohh 1 more thing the Vitamin D! Ur skin will love it! There is a small tent city downtown Phoenix tho (homelessness) yet it not as bad as some places n I think PHX has some resources... it’s not perfect but it’s definitely what u make it! U must get to Sedona at some point! Water water water! & get hiking boots not sneakers! I learned lol
@@heatherhopereed2147 Not to be funny but melanated people lack Vitamin D so we absorb the Sun even if in it for a little bit, making it good for he skin (sun protection needed as well) The water here is terrible but since I moved here my skin is glowing.
Boots won’t be too hot? Sedona is definitely on my list that’s where I originally wanted to move but they have a better price point for houses so keeping Sedona in mind for the future
@@lashereThe houses in Sedona are very high... I would love to love out there! I mean your backyard is one of the most metaphysical places on the planet! Try to go when it’s not to crowded. The drive there is beautiful as well, so serene. So yes boots! There are boot like sneakers and actual boots not to heavy. When u go hiking u will see. So good sneaker boots. I know Northface has and Moutaingear. Not like Timberlands. But specifically hiking footwear. Birkenstock makes Hiking sandals but idk about those and ur toes lol. I may try them for Sedona or a low impact situation. U will do some climbing in Sedona so the sneaker boot type for hiking.
Hey I’m looking for places too, I am having trouble finding good places in Phoenix. If you don’t mind can you tell me the name of a few you looked at ? You don’t have to tell me the one you choose 😭 but I’m struggling girl
Is there a specific part you want to stay in, or specific must haves? I moved here in august site unseen and its nice but now its easier too look more for the future.
Most of the apartments in Phoenix area isn't worth what you paying. Then at the end of your lease they Jack the prices up and then you just keep on moving. You be better off getting the house then renting from these big apartment companies. Unless you find a private owner.
Nice Video 👍 You look so beautiful and natural girl "LADY' I hope your life will be always great and peaceful, whish you all the best 🙏❤️ (Sorry for My Bad English) 😔
If you are not from here stop coming most of you will come here and within a year or two it'll be too expensive and you'll leave but what you will leave behind is a skyrocketing real estate Bubblele because people keep coming here which is causing the state to become unreasonably expensive

Wow! That’s insane. Yes good luck :)
Your video was soooooo helpful thank you!!! God bless you!
Nice...has anyone here lived in Ahwautaukee AZ I hear it is nice.
AZ looks great but the heat stories I hear are crazy. 😮 I remember a guy saying he had to drive once with oven mitts because of the steering wheel in the sun being too hot.
Lol so crazy!
What was the name of number 7? I really liked that one also!
How did you choose which apartments to view? Did you have a budget?
Fireplace apt best. View especially for you
I love #7 !! The space anc the view top notch!! And ohh the kitchen is bigger then the others 👍🏽
Full sized kitchen is the best
Which one is this! I don’t see it on the box?
Hopefully I have a good stay there 🤞🏾🤗
@@nanasule497 yayyy 👏 happy to hear!
Im getting to move myself in a few months to Pheonix, im trying to find apartments but i want to be safe as well
I'm a solo traveler, I'll be visiting Phoenix- tempe-scottsdale- july 1-5,😍😍
Have fun!!!!
Thanks!😊
Congratulations!!🍾🎉🎈
Best time to move is on March, not in July,so break in with the heat goes smoothly
HOW MUCH MONEY DID YOU HAVE TO SAVE BEFORE MOVING ( HONESTLY) 💯
I'm moving in almost exactly a year (Sept 2023) and will be looking for people to get to know.
Just comment if you're there at that time!!!! 🥹🥰
Did you make your move yet ?
@LoyalDeon Not yet!! :( I'm currently looking for a job, but as soon as I'm hired, I'm putting in my two weeks at my current job! -_-
(just a bit harder than I thought it would be)
GREAT VIDEO GIRL but need more bout the price
My job is north off Arizona I really want to move in a high raiser
@@andrewjacques8275 yea I've seen same thing back home I'm from Charlotte NC and prices went up along to so in AZ it it did thanks for the heads up
Is there anyway you can list the names of the different apartments?
Please check the description box : )
hiking boots for hiking here in arizona lol
I like the 2nd one do they have pools
Good luck on your move here, remember, it’s HOT here. 😂
Lol in a weird way I’m excited for it I’ve never been a fan of the cold cold negative degree weather, snow or ice so we shall see. I’ll update you in 4 or so months haha
from beautiful hot weather to disgusting snow
we need an update!
Sorry for the wait! It's posted now check it out :)
So I am curious. Where did you end up choosing and how do you like AZ so far? I moved to Phoenix back in 2019 and just saw your video :)
What's the name of Apt 7. I'm looking to move too
Welcome to our great state.
Excited to be here!
Hello from Miami, loved this video 👌❤️! Would you mind sharing the apartment site or sites you used to find apartments like these? Zillow does Phoenix no justice or maybe it’s my luck lol 😅! Hope too hear from you soon and hope everything is good 😊
Apartments.com is the main one they always are up to date!
Can I get the name of #7? I’m moving there in 2 weeks and still getting my list of apartments together.
I was sold on the first apartment with the walk in closet!. 😁
Seeing this makes me so sad 😭 I used to love Phoenix when I first moved out here but I GOTTA GO 😭💯🤦🏾♀️
Whattt WHY?!!
I’m glad I seen this video I plan to move there the end of May. What website did you find these apartments?
Definitely recommend apartments.com it's the easiest site to group apartments based on size, price, amenities etc and you can save your favorites for easy access! Make sure to do your research, anything you like just search the address & google reviews is a great tool to help you know if there are any current resident complaints, bugs, violence or poor management. I had a LONG list of favorites and looking at reviews helped narrow it down REAL QUICK.
Hello 👋 , I've been in Mesa for almost 2 years 😳 😅 . Where in Phoenix is nice ? Conveniently located by stores? No craziness
There is actually a large homeless population in Phoenix, just not in the area's where you were. I live in central Phoenix and can't go to the store , gas station etc. without being asked for money, just fyi.
Can you update and tell us more about Apartment #7?
Wow, that is very weird about the door thing what if you have guests. If you poop, it’ll smell up the place ha
🤭 exactly!
Many people lack vitamin d here because we are not spending a lot of time outside.
@@heatherhopereed2147 Not to be funny but melanated people lack Vitamin D so we absorb the Sun even if in it for a little bit, making it good for he skin (sun protection needed as well) The water here is terrible but since I moved here my skin is glowing.
Oh that’s great to know. I’m already deficient before even moving 😳😖
Welcome ! I’m a fellow RUclipsr as well :)
Well hey new friend 👋
Hey I’m looking for places too, I am having trouble finding good places in Phoenix. If you don’t mind can you tell me the name of a few you looked at ? You don’t have to tell me the one you choose 😭 but I’m struggling girl
I was just searching in phx! I can send you a few nice places
Is there a specific part you want to stay in, or specific must haves? I moved here in august site unseen and its nice but now its easier too look more for the future.
Please check the description box :)
good luck on the move hope all is well update video?
Posted! Thank you :)

I’ve lived here my whole life y’all don’t want the sunlight trust me 😂
Are they second floors
Omg . I live in the first apt complex
That’s funnnnny!! I really liked it think that’s was my 3rd favorite
New zonies🌵✨!
Contact Raye & Jay on youtube & make friends. They moved from Indiana to Arizona..😁👍🏼
I'm moving there January 3th
Most of the apartments in Phoenix area isn't worth what you paying. Then at the end of your lease they Jack the prices up and then you just keep on moving. You be better off getting the house then renting from these big apartment companies. Unless you find a private owner.
That’s the plan! It was the same way in Chicago too honestly. A home is on everyone’s bucket list I’m sure...just gotta get prepared
Nice video! How is the job market there?
Plenty of opportunity here no matter the career great pay
I live in AZ and I have family and friend in a lot of different states and definitely AZ has great jobs and way better pay for every career!
Nice Video 👍 You look so beautiful and natural girl "LADY' I hope your life will be always great and peaceful, whish you all the best 🙏❤️

THANK YOU

Where is number 7 located?! 🙏🏾
No doors??
this music is so sadddd lol i liked the apartments though
My home state💛💛💛💛
If you are not from here stop coming most of you will come here and within a year or two it'll be too expensive and you'll leave but what you will leave behind is a skyrocketing real estate Bubblele because people keep coming here which is causing the state to become unreasonably expensive
Except I didn’t leave due to expensive prices you must be commenting on the wrong video?
