Originally from coastal California and have lived in various states around the country until moving here 21 years ago. I didn't like PHX initially, but it grew on me. During summer, we scramble to visit family on the California coast, especially during the period July - October. Weekend trips up to the mountains (Flagstaff or Pinetop) during the summer are also a nice break from the heat. Beach time in Rocky Point ("Puerto Penasco) during late Spring or early summer, and in the Fall (late September and October) is also great (3.5-hour drive from PHX). June is the best month for hanging out at the pool - the overnight low temps have been high enough for long enough to heat pool water to more comfortable temps, plus the daytime highs in June (statistically the hottest month in PHX) are hot and the humidity is still really low, so it's a pleasant experience. Once Monsoon season kicks in (typically after July 4th), humidity increases (with daily high temps well above 100 degrees) and being outside is an unpleasant experience. By July, most Phoenicians are doing their best to spend time as much time as possible indoors in air-conditioned environments until October when things begin to cool down.

Almost any issue in Phoenix can be traced back to suburban sprawl. Some summers gave 30 days over 110 but a good chunk of summer is under 110 - I’m used to the heat and you don’t have to shovel it and you learn to work around it plus the dryness and ubiquitous aircon really helps. Outside of the summer it’s the best weather
Long time coming!! Thanks for making this, crew!
Hi! We really enjoyed this video. We lived in Illinois and came down here for my husband‘s work nine years ago. We had to go back to Illinois three years ago, but vowed we would come back and we did one year ago. We live on the south east side in a community. That’s really nice. I’m just curious as to what location you guys are living in. Are you north, Central, etc.?
Thanks 4 info. I love Arizona but would probaly just winter there..
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Been here 10 years and last year heat gave me PTSD. Planning our exit but not locked down where we are going yet.
It did get very hot so I’m curious to see how hot this summer will be! We love the heat though after living in a brutal winter state all of our lives
This summer is slated to be even hotter. I rented airbnb’s in Prescott this year but am with you, total PTSD. Time to find milder summers. Idaho looks promising.
PTSD?
@@destinyandmitchwhere are the students “less parented” 😂
I’m a grandmother coming to retire point me in their direction!!!!

Been in Arizona 5 years since July 2019 😮and SOOOOOOO READY TO LEAVE AND MOVE!!!!!!
In flagstaff in the winter it goes below -20
Great video! Can you describe the allergy seasons in Arizona and do they bother you? Thanks!
Good to see your content again. I had not looked in a few years. We’ve been thinking about relocating and when I began my research I was glad to see you guys and your tips!!! Thanks!
Question- we are a BWWM so how is it racially as I’ve heard it can be brutal
ARIZONA IS GREAT FOR TRUE OUTDOOR PEOPLE - IF YOU DON'T LIKE ARIZONA YOU HAVE 49 OTHER STATES TO MOVE TO AND 14 U.S. TERRITORIES - ONLY FUN TIMES AHEAD HERE ! LOLOLOL
Nice seeing you both. Great information ❤
Thanks for watching! 😊
You ain’t gonna catch no Walleye or Northern Pike… and Kurds …. Forget it… but Arizona/ Mexican food …. Totally unique to the state, as it is in New Mexico with the Hatch chilies….
I’m on my way to Arizona moving from Minnesota as well 💃
❤ ❤❤ y'all vlog y'all are amazing and down to earth don't stay away for long 😜
1) yes it’s hot but it does cool off.
2) baseball yes but golf is a close 2nd
3) Great gun laws and places for training.
4) fixing schools you can take your kids anywhere with your tax money.
5) highway system for handling the amount of people I’d give it a A compared to other places I’ve been in America.
6) regarding personal license plates. We should all have live by the golden rule.
Home school is the answer teach your own offspring the truth ❤
🔥🔥🔥
You have to buy your own water bc the tap tastes ratchet , idk know anyone in AZ that doesn’t buy their own water
True
Sounds like your Texas experience was solely around the Houston or Dallas areas. Many areas are nothing like you described (except football - that's all over Texas)
Do you find that Arizona is cultural diverse? My boyfriend and I are interracial (black and white) and always consider cultural aspects. Finding couples/hobbies/art/museums that invite others into either indigenous, black, or southwest culture!
Northern Arizona is not very hot in the summer.
Don't bother moving to AZ if you aren't bringing in $120K+ income (at least double the median individual income in the USA)
Texas has desert. Have you been to El Paso?
Great video. Welcome!🌵
Thank you!!
What part of Texas did you guys live in and do you overall prefer living in Arizona?
Never mind the second part. You answered it at the end of the video
You've prettymuch described living in Tucson and Phoenix, not most of Arizona. (Certainly not northern AZ.)
80% of the population live in Phoenix/Tuscon metros
i’m a single male no kids and thinking about moving to arizona from southern california due to cost of living being high in california opinions ?
Welcome!
I'm a Native of Az let me know what else you like to know about arizona. Also i am half Hopi Indian.
Its expensive, it is a car culture, Az drivers kinda suck traffic gets worse everyday, parking is plentiful, great restaurants, increasing diversity of peoples close to everything, hot for 3-4 months a year, overall very nice quality of life if you have $
Good stuff thanks
That’s just change of times kids behavior you fun couple just wait
Wonder how it compared to washigtin state?
Weather used to be SO different back in the 60's and 70's. Not sure whats really caused the change.
Trying to convince wife to move from Tampa & she needs 3/4 days of holiday to make her mind up , please give me places to visit with her & 1 year old baby so I can win her over lol , we don't care about the heat , we are more than lizards & I love being outside in the heat .
Where did you live in Texas?
Be nice to the snow birds 😂
we try 🥲 hahaha
Why you move to Phoenix?
BASIS is the best school system in the country.
I’m curious how bad is Minnesota that it causes you to value burnt out, methed out, 120 degree, 95 degree weather at midnight? 😂 🌵
❤❤❤❤
Its been a year 😱
I know 😅 time has really flown by!!
What county are you guys in?
Get off texas....😮 depends where you live you should have went to el paso and Austin
El Paso?! 😩 be fr lol
Austin? People are leaving Austin in droves now. Tech layoffs, high cost of living, homelessness, politics, etc.
@@jefesalsero that’s exactly what phoenix and surrounding city’s are experiencing and don’t forget about the drug problems.
@@JesusmysweetheartDrug problems are in every city not just Phoenix.
@@ralphjohnson3202 speaking for Phoenix since that’s where I live and they are in Arizona. I’m only speaking in relation to the video.
Are you related to Mathew McConaughey?
have yall seen dune? this is arrakis.
Born and raised in Tucson. It’s turning into a liberal hell hole.
Yes!
Love Payson!
I have been in Arizona 6 years now from Michigan. I hate it here and cant wait to move back. I miss the 4 seasons. The 6 months of summer are just too hot. Honestly very rare tobe -20 in Michigan. I miss the forest especially in the fall. Scorpions and snakes everywhere.
#1 STOP TELLING PEOPLE TO MOVE HERE BEFORE WE END UP WITH CALIFORNIA TRAFFIC...
How your Lull mattress? lol
Az is trash in my belief people are awful here.
Ps. And Very racist 😮
Destiny are you pregnant? You have that glow. 😍
Unfortunately the state due to political affiliations do not support the education system
#1 it's hot
Way too hot
Is that what people outside of AZ do? They actually use their weather apps?
Don't move to Arizone unless your already wealthy
Not wealthy, but yet born and raised in Arizona. God still provides. Although I admit that times have got tough especially with the high cost of living!
Thanks for sharing.
