It just occurred to me that when he stopped in the street around 17:50 he had the perfect opportunity to escape! All he had to do was throw a sack full of donuts on the ground. Cops would have flocked to the bag completely ignoring him as he flees the scene.
11:22 "Stopping right in the middle of that intersection" "Why did he do that"? Idk, maybe its the fact that he was driving between two different lanes and a guy came up in front of him so he had to merge right so he doesn't run in to the red car.... Are they watching the same video i am or what????
I will say that was a rather domesticated(?) or respectable way to apprehend him, well done PD, it's nice to see you aren't like most departments who are seething at the ready to break someone's arm. Quite professional looking.
My cousin flew from California to Chicago to visit me & family last weekend & I told her & her husband that people in your state love leading police on chases. The both of them agreed & said when people fail at becoming a star in Hollywood this is their way of finally achieving stardom.
I was out in Sherman Oaks from 2003 till 2008 up above scadlock overlooking the 405 [these were vacations, 2 week gigs then back to Philly. I always asked myself: what is the air assets cost? Birds up, fuel et al.
@@jimsarge3id359 - As for cost, the US Dept of Justice did a report back in 2012 that stated roughly $1100-$1500/hr. Take this as *_base line_* however. This report used 2011 average fuel prices. It also did not factor in a monthly amortized maintenance cost which could add $100-$500 or more per hour.
"Wow, running right through red light!" Are you actually surprised by the person running doing that? No duh they are going to do that. Actually, just allow me run from the police, but I'll wait for the light to turn green first....
Every time he says his cohosts name I hear Mary-Kate & Ashley, but he’s saying Mary-Kate Daphne... Sounds super similar to me for some reason. Anyone else?
"It looks like he's reaching for something. That look like some sort of weapon." Meanwhile the guy puts down the keys on a lanyard. Hoping he'll get shot much? "Yeah, honey. Obey the law at this point."
Lmao oh jeez try reading what the CDC says about mercury (which its actually Thimerosal which contains ethylmercury) in vaccines its not plain "Mercury" as your comment seems to imply. P.S It prevents the growth of dangerous microbes, also The two types of mercury are Methylmercury (usually found in fish and is toxic, but we have laws concerning how much can be found in fish when eating it.) and ethylmercury (in thimerosal) ethylmercury clears out of the body faster then Methylmercury, and the body breaks Thimerosal down easily, Studies show no evidence of harm caused by the low doses of thimerosal in vaccines.Next you will be telling us Vaccines cause autism Lmfao. Yes people are very ignorant they do not even research what they are saying. Ethylmercury is way different than mercury. If we did not have vaccines most of us would not even be alive today.
Steve Smekar - I am with you!! People read the CDC website and believe it when the CDC is the one you have to watch out for. Believing in the CDC is like believing a politician lol
hUhh.. "he threw something red out the window".. Uhhhh "I don't know what that could be" (he's at a complete stop with his hands out the window and he's on the phone with the dispatch). UHHH.. gee I wonder what that little red thing could be.... DUHHHH
At 11:18 the suspect enters an intersection, slows down almost stopping. Now these two college educated (?) reporters couldn't saves their own lives if they depended upon their logical abilities. Their comment was that the suspect was slowing down and seemed to be taunting the police. It's plain as day that he HAD to slow down and almost stop because when he entered the intersection he was in the left turn lane. If he had continued straight he would have hit that red van head-on so he slowed down to let the cars on his right pass him so he could CHANGE LANES and not get caught.
I think these narrators are so typical. They always are so shocked that the drivers are not following stop signs and lights? Seriously? They are running from the cops! What do you expect?
You boyz love your police chases especially out in LA . I watched a almost 2 hour chase from Sherman Oak's to Korea Town { Supadaca , down Ventura to White Oak where they pit him him on Sherman Way. All for a suspended license? WTF ? No wants or warrants. I've been out to Sherman Oaks six times to visit a friend and his girlfriend { usually a two week stent}. Crazy town, but loved every visit. Breakfast at Mel's on Ventura, Comedy Store, Betting the ponies at Sonoma . And the weather is fantastic
And breakfast at Mels was 2pm because we were out all night. Got to swim in "Big Blue", rode the Harley's up Scadlock to Longbow over to Mulholland drive down to PCH . Pass through ghost town {Beverly Hills} haha
It's almost an every day thing out here in l.a infact there was one last week tremendous traffic or no traffic these momos run and cops lov it they get to shine , but the helicopter dude narrates like narrating a bowling game ,these l.a pilots have it done like James brown in 69
Nothing going on here in Phoenix, lets just cut to California there is always something going on there.
Every time we get these chases.... they're either really fast...or really slow...
It just amazes me how once these people get told to get out of the car, they still talk on their cell phone.
"Viewer Discretion Advised" really means the good part is coming up...dont miss it...there may be bloodshed.
There actually are people who don’t want to watch someone get shot or killed.
This commentary was actually painful.
They should force these criminals to listen after they are caught and they would never dare to run again.
Lol funniest comment I've ever seen XD
Wait...he is using a cellphone while driving? That is illegal.
Steve Smekar it is in California
Lol
Lmao, wasn't this just another boring chase out in LA? I was out in the Sherman Oaks area from 2003 through 2008. Never saw a chase on the 405. 🤣☘🍺

We in California see pursuits weekly, I'm wondering why this is being broadcasted by Phoenix television when it's in Los Angeles?
I think chases became a real time show, it's good for ratings :)
probably because there's nothing going on in Arizona
Slow weekday?🤔☘🍺

I wonder when a police chase will start from someone finding a rare pokemon on Pokemon Go, and evading police just so they can catch that pokemon.
How can he be armed? After all, there are gun laws specifically in place to prevent such a thing
Johnny.... and NO Californians break the law so..... I don't get it either.

Every time a woman narrates these chases. She always lets us know that she's not that bright and talks too damn much..
She sounds like someone who would promote vegan catfood and be skeptical of vaccines.
anyone should be skeptical of vaccines. They contain mercury. Fact. But go ahead, disprove it.
