FNN: High-Speed Chase Ends With Stand Off on I-215 Freeway, Man With Stick Vs. Cops

(FOXLA.com) A man in a stolen car led authorities on a high-speed chase Monday that began in Riverside County, went into Los Angeles County and ended up in San Bernardino County, where he was arrested while apparently trying to jump from a freeway overcrossing. About 8 a.m., Riverside County sheriff's deputies went to the Morongo Casino Resort & Spa in Cabazon at the request of Morongo tribal police to help with a "suspicious vehicle,'' said Riverside County sheriff's Deputy Mike Vasquez. While en route to the casino property, deputies ran a computer check on the Toyota Camry and learned that it had been reported stolen, Vasquez said. Deputies arrived as the car was being driven away and tried to make a traffic stop, but the driver kept going.
The chase led into Los Angeles County on the westbound Pomona (60) Freeway, north on the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway, and then onto the eastbound San Bernardino (10) Freeway and into San Bernardino County.
The unidentified suspect made his way onto northbound Interstate 215 and stopped about 10 a.m. near Palm Avenue. The man got out of the car clutching a weapon-like object and walked across freeway lanes, while officers blocked traffic in the area.
After a standoff, in which he pointed his weapon at officers, the man was taken into custody and appeared to have sustained some type of injury while being wrestled to the ground.

The female talks over the reporter on the helicopter and only parrots the same information as the helicopter. She has that little girl voice and it is very annoying.

Why does the female reporter continue to show her picture & talk over the well versed male reporter? He is a much better reporter.
She shows her pic because she's a doll. And which reporter is "better" is a matter of opinion. The onscreen chick lived in L.A. before moving to Phoenix and knows Los Angeles really well. That's her main strength.

Actually, at times, it does work. It's not likely to work with THIS MANY cops, but occasionally, they do get away from one or two patrols, so I suppose that he thought that he'd be one of the lucky few, even though there were way too many to realistically escape.

Probably Camp Pendleton, the biggest base on the west coast. This is very close to where it is.
I was waiting for him to jump on one those slow movers with the tanks and hitch a ride like on a hobo on a train. He'd be gone and everybody would be "were'd he go" they were all on the other side of the road.

Skip the Reality TV Show, of reports babbling as a car drives on the highway. Jump to 22:25 This is where he pulls over, car dead? But then the cops let him cross the highway. Then jump to 31:30, when finally the cops decide to cross the highway and confront him. 38:25 Idiot jumps on railing of bridge. 39:10 cop sneaks up behind him and takes him down. I don't know why these guys don't like the Wheeler Grappler, chance would have been over about 45 minutes ago. Again, I would haven't wasted time, a couple of shots and the idiot is done.
