I found a tiny kitten in front of an apartment building. He was meowing so loudly. I picked him up and I noticed that my feet became black. It was the fleas leaving his body. It took me multiple baths to get him flea-free and from day one, he climbed on my chest and slept there. I loved him for 16 years. I had to make the agonizing decision to end his cancer pain last year. I will miss him for the rest of my life.

Same. I have 6 week old kittens and I’m so scared to give them a bath. It’s the end of day 2 and I feel like I need to build their trust before I give them a bath. Thankfully they do not have fleas from my knowledge.
Best thing to use is warmed baby conditioner.... put heater on in bathroom. Let conditioner sit on kitty for 5 min. Rinse with warm water. Immediately put kitty in nice warm towel. Actually 2 towel. Once the first one gets wet remove it from kitty because It will make the kitty cold. After towel drying then get 2nd towel and wrap kitty. Make sure kitty is WARM. SOOOO IMPORTANT!!!!!
I know, I love the gawky "oversized ears" phase for kittens. So cute. And I love it when they are around 5 to 8 weeks old and their tails are teeny short little stumps no bigger than a pinky finger. It's funny, my tomcat was 7 weeks when I got him and he was so little he fit in my one hand and weighed just about one pound. By the time he was 7 months old he already weighed in at 16 lbs and the vet told me he had the 'big cat breed' body type and to expect him to weigh 20 lbs or more by the time he was full grown. Welp! Vet was close. Ralph got to be a 22 lb tomcat and was not considered to be overweight.
Thank you so much for this video! I got my first 9 week old kitten today and she had fleas. She got a topical treatment of Revolution at the vet then over 6 hours later we flea combed her and gave her a dawn bath and that seemed to get the rest! I think she had some on her head too before we did the soap ring around her neck but we used soap and warm water on a cotton ball for her head and picked the rest off. Rinsed her real well and picked some off as she dried and the once she dried and warmed up we flea combed and searched her again with a flash light. Hoping that kills the eggs and larvae too. She’s currently asleep next to my man. So adorable.
Just did this to a rescue kitten. I did it in a small tub to avoid unnecessary stress, at the end I counted over 70 fleas lying at the bottom 😢 he's smaller than yours but I know he's gonna feel so much better after his nap.
A really good flea deterrent I have found is a Flea Trap made by a company called Victor. It uses sticky circular pads in a plastic housing and uses a 7 watt night light bulb to attract the fleas into it and onto the sticky pads in the trap. Both the light and the heat from the bulb is what attracts the fleas to the trap. Been using two of them for years in my home and they do help tremendously to keep the fleas in control without using chemical pesticides. You can find these Victor Flea Traps at Home Depot, along with the refill packs for the sticky pads for the traps. Now this trap will take some time to finally eliminate the majority of fleas from your home, they sit on the floor on the carpet or bare floors. You'll be amazed at how fast the fleas will fill up these things though. When I first started using them, I had to change the sticky pads almost every other day for about 1 to 2 weeks, after that, I changed the pads about once a month, sometimes a little longer. And since the pads are white, you can see at a glance just how many fleas are in the trap. Once covered in fleas, you'll know when to change out the sticky pad, believe me it works very well, just change the pad and set back in place. Very easy to use and I swear by this product. The cats may still get a few fleas here and there, but it wasn't as bad as when I first started using these traps in my home. I also recommend one for each room in the house. I also use a chemical waterless flea and tick bath for cats by Vet's Best. I also use their Flea and Tick Home Spray for my carpets, cats bedding areas and can even be used on clothing as well as sprayed on the cat itself. These Vet's Best products are all natural and plant based, so there are NO chemicals in them. So far they have been working very well for my cats and home respectively. These Vet's Best products are usually found at PetCo and some other Pet Stores. And no, I'm NOT a spokesperson or salesperson for these products, just some products I have found that work very well for controlling fleas in and around my home, and on my cats and kittens. However, it does say for use on kittens 12 weeks old and over. So I don't use it on newborns or kittens less than 12 weeks old per the directions of use.
Best a couple of weeks ago a A stray cat that lives in the backyard gave birth to 4 baby kittens. They have a lot of fleas. You don’t know how MUCH I HAVE TO THANK YOU, I was so scared for these kittens, Your video has taught me so much.
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. I'm currently raising a runt who I just discovered has fleas and my first attempt at a flea bath was a disaster. I will try your method and hopefully help my baby get better. Thank you!!!
So glad I had previously seen your videos. Never thought I’d need them, but found an approximately month and a half old kitten in a tree who has a few fleas >.> Thank you for providing these videos!
Lol my kitten was not quite as well behaved as that one but now hes super soft and sleeping away. I hope I managed to get all of them, this video was such a huge help. It's the first time I've had a kitten this young I'll be watching much more of your vids to keep him happy and healthy
Kitten lady, you are such an inspiration. I love your generosity and your nice loving heart. We recently have 2 week old kittens. I have been watching your videos. They are a lot of help thank you 🙏💕.
IKR life is good I love that Kitten Lady is all tatted up and bad-az looking but she clearly has a beautiful soft spot in her heart for the sweet little creatures.
This is extremely helpful! My kitten got exposed to fleas when my dog got them, my dog is old enough for a flea collar/topical ointment but Arya is not so thank you so much :"))
I noticed my kitten had fleas (someone give him to me a few days ago) and I got a flee comb, and began to comb his hair, and oh boy they're a lot. I didn't have time to wash it today, because I was at work. This video helped know what to do tomorrow, and I'll make sure to keep him toasty after his bath. Thank you so much, Yoongi will appreciate this :)
i just rescued a month old kitten today who seems so weak, i just gave her round one flea bath and she isn’t fighting at all. she’s just letting me do it and is now asleep in my lap and wrapped up in a towel. she’s such a sweet girl i really hope she’s okay
Yup that soap ring around her neck is so helpful. Because without it they’ll all crawl up to the kittens face. So thank you for this video. And man will they fight you during a bath when they are older kittens!
I have a mother and her two newborn kittens I rescued from an old apartment (my guess is that they were left behind to starve) and the mom seems relatively young (maybe about 1-2 years old) and the kittens are only a few days old. They were in pretty bad condition when we got them but already in a few days they all seem to be doing much better now that they have been getting food. The mother is very friendly with people and seems to have trusted me already within the couple of days that we've had her. Though I'm certain they have fleas and possibly ticks. Currently I've kept them mainly in my wash room in a box with a blanket in it and the mom's food. I let the mom go outside at least once a day to just de-stress because she'll often cry to want to go out but always come back. I figure she has fleas already so it's not too bad if she goes out in the back yard for a bit where I can see her. Though I still feel bad for not letting them have more space around the house. I'm trying to keep the fleas pretty much limited to back there with them so I worry about having her roam around now to get fleas all around the house. Do you have any suggestions to wash all three of them so there's no spreading of fleas or bug between them? I figure right now since the babies are so young, doing any flea treatments on the mom would likely affect the babies since they're feeding from their mom. So I haven't done anything like that just yet. Do you think I should just wait for them to get a couple weeks older till I do any washing like that? I'm relatively new to this all but I'm just trying to make things as comfortable as possible for them.
i love giving my cats baths and do flea treatment on them once a month.. they hate me throughout the whole process, but once they are nice and clean, they become assholes and don't wanna come on my lap... they're like.. "oh mama, you are so dirty, and I am super clean, duh" xD
Treep Dia It isn't necessary to bathe a cat that often, and can actually be detrimental to their fur and skin. Of course you know your cats best, but if it stresses them out and they don't enjoy it, I hope you'll consider doing it less frequently, if at all. Cats are self cleaning, and don't typically need assistance unless they are very young, very old, or have gotten into something toxic.
i usually just give my vat a bath twice a year atmost, since she is outside during the summer and often get's veyr very Dirty at times, during Winter it is really not needed as she stays inside
thank you Kitten Lady sweetie! i truly needed to see this tutorial! i have two precious 8 week old sweeties and i just love them and they do need a good bath so i will do this procedure. Pray for me! lol!!!!!
I just wanted to thank you for your videos. My nieces just got two barn cats and your videos saved their lives. My mother, grandma, was able to give them a flea bath, bottle feed them and administer a dewormer pill all with the help of your videos. Those kittens are alive today because of you. My mother was so appreciative that I found those videos. I was too far away but with my coaching, your videos and her hands on....we changed two little lives for the better. Thank you ❤️🐾
I love kittens so much why can’t they stay young fur-ever?! And also I really want to find stray kittens and rescue them it would be the coolest thing ever to help them(not that I like the idea of kittens in need) but I’ve always wanted to be a veternarian, zookeeper, or rescuer(I love animals) and I love u too Kitten Lady, your videos are so helpful and the kittens are all so cute!
Crazycreative Diygirl I thought I did too. My partner and I rescued a 4 week old tiny kitten 3 days ago off a highway with cars driving over and next to him. His bottom lip was torn off the tissue and he was massively infested with fleas. It broke my heart to see how awful he was. 3 days later and he’s almost flea-free and loves his new home and toys. Sleeps next to us and is fattening up! He’s going to go to my friends home when he’s 7 weeks. My point is it’s extremely distressing to see them like that, despite knowing we’re saving him.
Oh my goodness! 1. My name is hannah too 2. Around 10 months ago i had to raise 2 kittens and i wish i wouldve found your channel earlier! 3. One went missing and the other kitten i still have and love dearly. I loved raising her and we have a stronger bond compared to cats raised by mother cats. Plus, she is very trustworthy and comfortable with humans, and so personally i think all this work (and the scratches) are totally worth it. Not only this, but to see a channel dedicated to it? Time to binge watch all your videos lol
Thank you for this video! All of my fosters so far have had fleas, and I've tried bathing them but the fleas keep coming back. Does it sometimes take more than one bath to get rid of them all? thanks for all you do, from one Hannah to another!
I had to give my baby kitten two baths to get rid of the fleas. She just had so many. While she was drying in the towel I hand picked them off her and dropped the fleas into a cup of hot soapy water to make sure they were dead.
Know it's a bit late. But make sure where you're keeping them is clean of flea and flea eggs too. (that includes feeding space as well) because, of course if there are any fleas around it's gonna latch back into them.
any help for ringworm treatment? encouragement? tips? our rescue was housed with multiple other kittens before we found her and exposed. now we are freaking out!
Jules Wood I know this was 10 months ago so you probably got an answer, but I found that the over the course terrifying ringworm cream works well. I would use a paper towel and water to spot clean and dry the spot, put a good amount of cream on, then wash my hands with betadine to stop it from spreading. I also used gloves but the kitten didn't really like it. Also, I continued the treatment for a week after it was gone and vacuumed and lysol-ed a LOT. it was gone in about 4 weeks!
hmm, not quite as easy as yours, but done. I don't know who was more traumatized...me or the kittens. All the evil fleas were living on their damn heads. aaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrhhhggggghh
This works!! Tried this technique on my two 5 month old kittens. After washing and rinsing them I still needed to comb out some live fleas - but it worked!
All you need is dawn dish soap and a flea comb also you need a little topper wear container so it can hold hot water and dawn dish soap so one you pick off the fleas you put them in the hot water and the die
I have a semi feral cat that had 2 kittens on January 3rd. They all have fleas. The mom won't let me pick up the babies. Is there something I could put around the nest to chase off the fleas?
Melissa Walker i had pretty good luck with "diatomaceous earth". it's a chalky white powder made from the fossilized remains of microscopic diatoms. i think it attaches to their exoskeleton and dehydrates them? either way, it's apparently pet/kid friendly. i guess it's also being sold as some superfood supplement now. so there's that. but just make sure you read the label, and you get the household-use/pest-control one. there's a type that's used in water filtration systems that isn't ok. also, avoid essential oils. cats are unable to break them down

Thank you. Don't want kittens getting anemic and all the stuff at the pet store is for 2lbs and up. Oddly enough even the all natural said at least 12 weeks old. These babies birthday is January 3
I have a adult cat she is a Indore cat but still got flees product etc don't work so I'll be giving her a bath even thonthisbis on a kitten it's really helpful and I started watching your other videos I'm planning on volunteering in my local shelter to help cats etc you are a inspiration thank you
My son found a kitten today...he believes the mother got hit by a car. She was under the lawn furniture. Your video has really helped but how do i introduce her to my 3 y/o boy Maltese? Right now she's in the laundry room..
A word of caution regarding the blow dryer step (3:46 ): Our six-week old foster kitten handled the bath itself pretty well, but a few seconds into the blow dry (lowest settings, and with a diffuser), she bit my husband (who was holding her) pretty badly. This resulted in having to return her for the shelter’s 5-day quarantine, antibiotics for my husband, and negotiations with the shelter to make sure she’s monitored for 10 days, per our healthcare provider’s guidance. It’s clear to us that in this instance, the noise of the blow dryer was just too much for our little girl, especially following what was possibly a bath that was more stressful than she was letting on. I really regret having used the dryer, and won’t ever use it again with a kitten or cat.
My kitten is 8 weeks, and slightly underweight with fleas, so I HAVE to give mine baths, I always throw a few towels and a blanket into my dryer before I do so that he is nice and warm after he gets out. that way he wont get sick. only part that sucks is he HATES baths and his teeth are like tiny needles, it sucks to get bitten.
She won't die :) I bathed a 4 1/2 week old that I saved a few days ago. I bathed her twice. Not in the same day, obviously. She did fine. She didn't like it but it is necessary. I dried her immediately off, for about 10 minutes. Then wrapped her like a burrito in a really soft blanket, and kept her on my chest area wrapped in my shirt and she slept. Then I took her out into the sun still in the blanket and in my shirt just to make sure her body temp. was good.
I remember the first kitten I got (she was a stray) she was so angry at me and my mom for giving her a bath and subjecting her to this cat "torture" but we noticed she was also happy and maybe even relieved after no longer feeling all those fleas constantly biting her
DAWN IS AMAZING! I have rescued 4 flea infested kittens, and each got a 30 minute bath with Dawn Dish Soap and never had fleas again. It doesn't have any harsh chemicals, you'd just wanna make sure it doesn't get in their eyes.
It doesn't matter which type of Dawn. I don't think they have a "Super-Powered" version out on the market, so they are all calm and docile chemicals they'd use for softer hands. They also use Dawn for removing oil from animals during oil spills.
Just be careful on how often you use it. Since it breaks down oils, it can dry their skin and fur out because it strips it of it's natural protective oil and then they get all itchy, but it's safe.
I am going trap 4 kittens and a mom Cat outside coming up next Sunday. They will be taken to the Vet Clinic the next day after trapping. Vet is going to Spay and Neuter them, give Rabies shots and distemper shots, and then put Revolution on them. The kittens look to be about 8 or 10 weeks old. I wanted to trap them sooner, but the Vet clinic wants them in a trap so that they can inject them through the trap to make them sleepy. The Vet clinic will put them back inside of the traps, and then I have to pick them up and take care of them for 1 day. Then the rescue people will pick them up and take them to a farm, and it is up to the farm people to keep them in cages until they are well an then release them on their farm. There is no foster care home for them since all is full. There is a cute Siamese Lynx Point in the group, I might try and keep it after the Vet stuff id over. I never tried to tame a Feral Kitten, and I do not know if I can. I already have 8 Cats in my house now. All Indoor Cats. I do not know if Revolution will remove the fleas and eggs from the Kitten ? I do not want fleas in my house. If I kept the Siamese Kitten in a cage I would have to keep it in the garage.
I just found a little Tortes shell kitten she’s so sweet but she was covered I mean absolutely covered in fleas and dirt and she had ear mights so thank you sm!
When I was 2,my family got a stray kitten, that was about 8 weeks old. Thing is , we didnt really own him for a while. It all started when a small stray kitten came to our backyard, were our dogs stayed, to eat their food. Eventually I I started playing with him because my family gave him food, so we gave him shots, so I wouldnt get sick. We soon moved houses, and whenI arrived I asked: Where is my kitty? So my parents came back to the house, and he was just laying in the floor, waiting for them. He is still with me!
Thank you thank you thank you! I’ve been trying everything to get rid of the fleas on my cat I never thought that dish soap was so effective thank you!
just got a kitten today, 8 weeks old and covered in fleas. poor thing can barely sleep they’re biting her so bad...definitely gonna give her a bath in the morning. thanks for the video. definitely didn’t wanna put any flea medicine on her yet

I love black cats. They're usually the very last to be adopted so if I'm looking to adopt a kitten, I always choose the black one at the shelter.

Sarah Smith you should follow the tutorial but use a flea comb to take fly eggs off
Bless you🙏🏻🧡
Look at that little face after shes done, she sooo happy!!
Helen N I did this for my kittens and one of them starting purring afterwards 🙂
The other lady is so sweet and gentle with the kitten! She looks like she loves munchkin so much ☺️

I helped and adopted a kitten a few days ago, he's really playful but covered in fleas, thank you so much!
Munchkin meowing was like, “I thought you loved me.”

Never thought I’d need them, but found an approximately month and a half old kitten in a tree who has a few fleas >.> Thank you for providing these videos!
xD she looked so terrified when you combed her after she went wet :D
Asuna I love doing dat to cats! It doesn't hurt!
Her face was like O_0
Lol my kitten was not quite as well behaved as that one but now hes super soft and sleeping away. I hope I managed to get all of them, this video was such a huge help. It's the first time I've had a kitten this young I'll be watching much more of your vids to keep him happy and healthy
Omg. Her eyes after the shower was telling me,"Never again!"
Omg, thank you! You are a life saver. Your technique worked AMAZING for a baby kitty that was rejected by its mom.
All hail the kitten burrito!!! XD
Thank you so much. I am fostering kittens and I am clueless about kittens. I have learned so much from your videos.
What's wrong with munchkins mouth? :(
It is just a wound
Estefani Parada I think it’s a marking
She probably hit her mouth on somthing but it doesnt look major
Estefani Parada she hit her mouth when she was coming to the Animal shelter!
Estefani Parada you are sooo pretty 🤤🤤
shes so adorable omg
I noticed my kitten had fleas (someone give him to me a few days ago) and I got a flee comb, and began to comb his hair, and oh boy they're a lot. I didn't have time to wash it today, because I was at work. This video helped know what to do tomorrow, and I'll make sure to keep him toasty after his bath. Thank you so much, Yoongi will appreciate this :)
Yoongi?! army? hii
YOONGI?! AHAHHAAHHA 💜💜💜💜
Yoongi, are you army?💜
i just rescued a month old kitten today who seems so weak, i just gave her round one flea bath and she isn’t fighting at all. she’s just letting me do it and is now asleep in my lap and wrapped up in a towel. she’s such a sweet girl i really hope she’s okay
A flea bath by itself can save a kitten's life!
just got my 8 week kitten yesterday and he has fleas 🥺 thank you so much for this video! funny, my salem looks just like munchkin too 🫢
thanks for posting the video . I have a window that faces the east and my kittens loved the warm sunshine to help dry them off.
Yup that soap ring around her neck is so helpful. Because without it they’ll all crawl up to the kittens face. So thank you for this video. And man will they fight you during a bath when they are older kittens!
Seriously! The soap ring idea I’d never heard before and it’s so very helpful!!
Mine is one month old and she's already a fighter! I just did the first flea bath and it wasn't easy
She’s so cute!!! And for a kitten... she did GREAT in her bath❤️❤️
I'm relatively new to this all but I'm just trying to make things as comfortable as possible for them.
its so nice to see people treating cats with fleas with care and responsibility, other channels on youtube treat the cats poorly and its disgusting.
i love giving my cats baths and do flea treatment on them once a month.. they hate me throughout the whole process, but once they are nice and clean, they become assholes and don't wanna come on my lap... they're like..
Treep Dia since my cat is half inside half outside I only give her a bath every once in a while not very often though
Treep Dia .
i usually just give my vat a bath twice a year atmost, since she is outside during the summer and often get's veyr very Dirty at times, during Winter it is really not needed as she stays inside
SirChristian100 they do, especially when you adopt a street cat... especially if the soil in your country creates a lot of dirt.
thank you Kitten Lady sweetie! i truly needed to see this tutorial! i have two precious 8 week old sweeties and i just love them and they do need a good bath so i will do this procedure. Pray for me! lol!!!!!
How do you keep from getting clawed during the bath?
Take it like a champ!
@@franklihuinac it hurts allot though, and then I bleed
Try gloves if not just take it in and be strong(•̀ᴗ•́)و
I just wanted to thank you for your videos. My nieces just got two barn cats and your videos saved their lives. My mother, grandma, was able to give them a flea bath, bottle feed them and administer a dewormer pill all with the help of your videos.
Those kittens are alive today because of you. My mother was so appreciative that I found those videos. I was too far away but with my coaching, your videos and her hands on....we changed two little lives for the better. Thank you ❤️🐾
Spay and neuter. Two months or two pounds.
Crazycreative Diygirl You realize if you become a veterinarian, you have to put down pets, right?
@@nalahodjat4373 Sad as it is, putting down animals is helping them too, in certain circumstances.
@@dedclownsRfunny Maybe she can do/has done volunteer work thus far to help her achieve her goals?
Oh my goodness!
1. My name is hannah too
Hannah McCarthy :)
...
You’d have to clean your house too
Know it's a bit late. But make sure where you're keeping them is clean of flea and flea eggs too. (that includes feeding space as well) because, of course if there are any fleas around it's gonna latch back into them.
Thank you for uploading this! I just brought home my kitten yesterday and she has a mild case of fleas. This helped so much!
any help for ringworm treatment? encouragement? tips? our rescue was housed with multiple other kittens before we found her and exposed. now we are freaking out!
I just rescued a baby kitten in a middle of an intersection. This video helps a lot thanks!
I'm allergic to cats and can never have one, but still, I LOVE watching your videos. lol.
God bless kitten lady and her helpers and subscribers
Also, this ain’t abuse, this is good for the cat
Oh I so needed this video today. The kitten I just adopted yesterday has fleas. Thankyou for the tips!
Thank you so much for your videos. About to follow this one step-by-step for the 5 two-week old kittens we just saved from being euthanized! xoxoxo
hmm, not quite as easy as yours, but done. I don't know who was more traumatized...me or the kittens. All the evil fleas were living on their damn heads. aaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrhhhggggghh
This works!! Tried this technique on my two 5 month old kittens. After washing and rinsing them I still needed to comb out some live fleas - but it worked!
my mum doesnt like using chemicals either so she picks the fleas off our cats bodys
Alex Blair I feel that yes it was hard to pick the fleas off
@@catboyidv6896 my mom likes to pick fleas on our cats lmao she said it's satisfying
All you need is dawn dish soap and a flea comb also you need a little topper wear container so it can hold hot water and dawn dish soap so one you pick off the fleas you put them in the hot water and the die
that shit takes too long
@@blehahh9371 I’ve been doing this since yesterday! I’m pretty sure it’s working!🤍

Wait a minute my friend's name is Melissa-
Ok this is a big help. We are getting a kitten soon and I wanna be sure she's all good and clean since we have another in my home
Thank you, you helped me so much . Now my cat is better then before
I have a adult cat she is a Indore cat but still got flees product etc don't work so I'll be giving her a bath even thonthisbis on a kitten it's really helpful and I started watching your other videos I'm planning on volunteering in my local shelter to help cats etc you are a inspiration thank you
My son found a kitten today...he believes the mother got hit by a car. She was under the lawn furniture. Your video has really helped but how do i introduce her to my 3 y/o boy Maltese? Right now she's in the laundry room..
Lashonay Wil there are some videos on how you can introduce cats to each other
First take her to the vet! If she is sick, she might transfer diseases! Always quarantine!
These videos are like those satisfying pimple pops to me except it’s better because there’s a cat
I wish I would have watched this before I washed my fosters... haha!
One time my kitten jumped in the bathtub but I rescued her and put her in a blankie and she was so cute and cuddly!!!
We just adopted an all black cat and i just realized flees crawling around on it. Thank you for this
i'm afraid to bathe mine (9w old) i'm afraid she gets sick after bathing and dies 😭
My kitten is 8 weeks, and slightly underweight with fleas, so I HAVE to give mine baths, I always throw a few towels and a blanket into my dryer before I do so that he is nice and warm after he gets out. that way he wont get sick. only part that sucks is he HATES baths and his teeth are like tiny needles, it sucks to get bitten.
i've bathed mine, last week and everything went well, thank god! she's healthy and has no more fleas :)
Harubro Haruhara the warm towel idea is awesome!
sensorsweep thank you. It work well with girlfriends too.
Then I took her out into the sun still in the blanket and in my shirt just to make sure her body temp. was good.
I remember the first kitten I got (she was a stray) she was so angry at me and my mom for giving her a bath and subjecting her to this cat "torture" but we noticed she was also happy and maybe even relieved after no longer feeling all those fleas constantly biting her
I use unvented Dawn. Is that ok?
I foster kittens and use Dawn all the time! :)
DAWN IS AMAZING! I have rescued 4 flea infested kittens, and each got a 30 minute bath with Dawn Dish Soap and never had fleas again. It doesn't have any harsh chemicals, you'd just wanna make sure it doesn't get in their eyes.
Unscented
It doesn't matter which type of Dawn. I don't think they have a "Super-Powered" version out on the market, so they are all calm and docile chemicals they'd use for softer hands. They also use Dawn for removing oil from animals during oil spills.
Just be careful on how often you use it. Since it breaks down oils, it can dry their skin and fur out because it strips it of it's natural protective oil and then they get all itchy, but it's safe.
I just found a kitten and used your method. Thank you for posting this video, extremely helpful. One more kitten saved from fleas! 🤗❤️🐱
Omg 0 dislikes yay i love u kitten lady ♥
I’m happy that you made a you made a RUclips channel because it’s adorable RUclips channel!
Was it just me or was the camera trippin that first minute or so?
Around 0:40
lol the tiny kitten purrito is top notch cuteness
What's wrong with her lip
Magic Pigeon I was wondering the same thing
Magic Pigeon a bit of a nasty wound from being in the streets I assume. Its not infected which is a good thing.
I rescued a smol kitten from an alley way and she was itching so much thanks for the advice now she will be happier
If I kept the Siamese Kitten in a cage I would have to keep it in the garage.
allexx123 oml ur legit torturing them.
I just found a little Tortes shell kitten she’s so sweet but she was covered I mean absolutely covered in fleas and dirt and she had ear mights so thank you sm!
my cat is name munchkin 😍😍😍😍
When I was 2,my family got a stray kitten, that was about 8 weeks old. Thing is , we didnt really own him for a while.
It all started when a small stray kitten came to our backyard, were our dogs stayed, to eat their food. Eventually I I started playing with him because my family gave him food, so we gave him shots, so I wouldnt get sick. We soon moved houses, and whenI arrived I asked: Where is my kitty? So my parents came back to the house, and he was just laying in the floor, waiting for them. He is still with me!
Escape
Thank you for providing your wisdom, and this video. So helpful!
Also soap rings around neck doesn't work either cos fleas jump and most animals already have fleas on there heads🙄
Thank you so much for your expertise.
ferretlady2008 true, but fleas trying to escape water, a comb/human fingers will burrow deeper into the fur to hide as well
Bumble Bee grammar/spelling attacks are silly. fleas do love to jump
ferretlady2008 I get the sense you didn't watch the video past that point.
She cleaned the head after the bath, did you even watch the full video?
God bless you ladies 💗 And kathrine acts so lovely and careful 💗
Hannah, everything is made of chemicals, and “natural” ingredients are not necessarily safer than synthetic ones. This is a common misconception.
The kitten Ladys are wonderfull. Thanks for your Love.
Thank you thank you thank you!
I’ve been trying everything to get rid of the fleas on my cat I never thought that dish soap was so effective thank you!
She's so happy!!
just got a kitten today, 8 weeks old and covered in fleas. poor thing can barely sleep they’re biting her so bad...definitely gonna give her a bath in the morning. thanks for the video. definitely didn’t wanna put any flea medicine on her yet
