For real, F(x) literally can Rival 2.5 gen girl groups. The fact that they had two IT girls in one group, Top tier Vocal member, and revolutionary member Amber, but SM treated them poorly. If they just did them better, we would have F(x) until now. I remember how many times I played Red Light when it was first released. F(x) was way too ahead of their time. 🥺

There is no denying that idols from sm CAN sing well. But kpop fans also need to realize that groups who are not under big companies exist some can sing, rap even better than famous idols and have even better discography than famous groups.
SM also have weak singers - Irene, Yeri for example (I don't follow boy groups so I can't comment on them) yet they will always be more praised than idols who are not very known but are 10000000 times more talented than them. So kpop stans should wake up actually and look around you'll see and hear much more idols who cam actually sing.

SM's downfall started with Jessica Jung being removed from SNSD at the height of their career.
Followed by F(X) just quietly going on hiatus / disbandment and Super Junior members being removed or leaving one by one and the boys of EXO filing a lawsuit similar to what happened in DBSK and Super Junior.
And then both Jonghyun and Sulli's tragic fates.
SM's strength and popularity came from their 2nd Gen groups. The way they *completely* failed to take care of these people was a telltale sign and the undeniable beginning of the end of SM ENT.

The issue is that the company is now mid-size company (from financial point of view) and the big artists that can rescue them quickly are leaving one by one so if they don't move quickly, I think it will be big 2 instead of 3

    • @jessi5288
      @jessi5288 Месяц назад +1

@@shorouk1172 the concept of big 3 at this point has more to do with impact than financial status. YG, JYP, and SM set the standard on what kpop could be and every single group in those companies and out of them have built on top of that. Like, you can’t erase that contributions they made and kpop wouldn’t have made it this far without those contributions. The big 3 will be the big 3 even when they’ve shuttered their doors and sent everyone packing.
But I stand by what I’ve said. They’ve weathered all storms and grown back from it. I wouldn’t ever consider it a failing company. And despite all these artists leaving, most of them still remain under the company for group activities. So it’s not a complete lost cause. But I’d say give them 2 years and you’ll see the stirrings of some new era for them. Hopefully Kakao can kick the current people in charge and put people in that don’t suck. Like the changes SM would have to make are so basic…

Most recently, I've been writing and producing for a lot of successful kpop and jpop groups.
SM Entertainment (just one example) took their eye off the ball years ago. I keep my dealings with them directly - to a minimum. I don't like the way they treat their artists or backroom staff and this has been my experience since TVXQ. They don't protect or defend them either. We don't really have fans acting so brutally towards idols outside of Korea
Instead of expanding, they need to work on what they have and encourage and support their current artists. That shouldn't be for me and my team to do.
It's very upsetting to watch and to work with artists being mistreated. I will always encourage and support artists and groups that I work with. I very much encourage a feeling of extended family with everyone, to make working together fun, so we get the best performance.
But artists shouldn't be arriving stressed out and defeated in the first place. 😔🇬🇧

I already saw this miles away since the time JYJ filed lawsuit against them. That was the start of the destruction which slowly sparked the whole mess throughout the years with each group until it finally reached to CBX lawsuit, which made the company to bend on its knees. Lets face it, SM has outdated management system. They've lost their sense of promotion and tactics not only in foreign market but even in Korea. The way they try so hard to make their newbie groups stand out, only to hold them back when they have finally reach a certain stage of success because the company is more than enough to just receive daily dosage of money. They don't have any ambition to push their groups beyond the horizon because they are afraid of their groups surpassing their own company. Its good for the company as long as company is the one in control, not the other way around. Every group that gets popular in SM needs to go down in basement afraid after the comeback, never to be seen again and also to ve replaced with their junior. Their inability to keep balance in groups and to the members only adds up to the mess by not providing each member with equal exposure. Let's not forget their behavior to foreign artists despite needing foreign market to their favors. It always took them several lawsuits to minimize their obvious bigotry and unfair contracts.
SM regardless is still good at vocal teachings and training system so they still has the chance to update their system and ideologies to make things work with their artists but I bet it's gonna happen anytime soon especially with most thir old artists being tired already.

I am not a major fan of any kpop groups and i don't know much bout SM or YG's management but i do think that the korea fan bases are very scary. I have never seen fans that actually manipulate their idols lives, in approving and disapproving of whoever their favorite celebrity is dating. It is scary to me because the celebs (some of them) actually do sacrifice their relationships just to appease their fans. In doing so, it only feeds their craziness in making them think that their cyber voices are heard and they can always bully any celeb into doing what the fans want as long as they gather enough voices. I don't know if that is the culture in korea or what but celebs need to srsly stop giving in to them so this toxic behavior could stop. Even if celebs need fan bases to be successful, it shouldn't come to the point where their opinion affects what they want for their personal lives.
Management wise, i have always heard bout how the celebs need to be slim and all, that part surely s**ks. I can never understand why celebs HAVE to be slim/thin, yes it's always good to have sex appeal and look attractive but being chubby/fat shouldn't be something one should be ashamed of as long as they can perform well. Age is also not a problem as long as the celeb can still perform well too. I know too lil to really comment on management but i do think idols have a choice and if treatment isn't fair then by all means, join another company (since so many of them have even started their own). Their own mental health is more impt than any management or toxic fan base. There's this saying, just because everyone is doing it doesn't mean it's done right. So naturally, just because SM is a huge company doesn't mean you have to be in it, if you are good, success n fame will come, people will notice.

Even now, with Mark and Haechan nonstop working, constantly on tour, and now Renjun is going on hiatus and missing most of Nct dream's Asia tour. We have know SM's management has always been bad, and many artists express it through the years, but it has gotten so bad.

How about making a video for example talking about the tragic downfall of hybe wouldn't it help. To whoever is saying yg is bad. Yg now are promoting there groups better than before. Treasure and BM yg are promoting them a lot now. And be thankful SM is still in the k-pop industry. Hybe really needs to learn the difference between talent and visuals. Plus someday every one will leave and new people will come. Hybe's artists will also leave hybe, jyp also they will leave and that is life. Taemin stayed under SM for more than 20 years now. It's time for him to leave so there is nothing wrong. Everyone has a time to come and leave. But some people really don't understand
