I got a 2014 Kia Optima, currently 278,000 MOSTLY driving Uber. The wheels size does change the performance and handling. I switched from 16-18, and got a +3 mpg increase. To keep a Kia running forever change the oil. 150,000+ Run seafoam & intake cleaner, catalytic converter also (complete tune up) burn the fuel clean, breathe clean & have a clean exhaust. Added an oil catch can 🛢, because the GDI spits excess oil & can run dry if not periodically checked (remember I drove 5000+ miles/month) the burn off to the plugs, which in time deposits on the lifters needs to be cleaned. Thus the intake cleaner. I love my Optima, and the engine has a lifetime warranty. The dealer will verify.
@@nicholasesposito9754 yes, once I hit 285,000 I had a total engine failure. The piston bearing wore out and locked up the engine and wouldn't crank. Got a new block installed, now I'm at 312,000 (30,000 new) plus the new components, I basically have a new car (except the transmission, luckily it's holding up).
As a tire tech I’ll tell you you need an alignment and the tires were very worn . So worn they wouldn’t withstand and bumps or sharp objects . The tires wear was the reason for blowout
So just to make sure I got this right the exact dimensions are 235/30/ZR22 90w XL TIRES and the wheels are 22x9.5 EXACT!!!! My 2016 Hyundai sonata did the same thing a few days ago with the battery I guess this is the size of the battery because only a super duty could jump start it

@@KICKnology probably the same ones as yours but I'm running I'm running 245/30r22 yeah if run low profile tires look at the speed rating I recommend perelli and nitro tires
Never blamed the tires boss. Just told u what happend. I have had rubberbands all my life as well. From 20's to 26's. Had a blowout going 75 on a busy intersection can cause damage to a wheel. Just saying be blessed
@@KICKnology Im just saying that all the damage did not happen from a blow out. The bent rim only bends when you hit something. Yes a blow out can occur but that kind of damage comes from riding on the tire after a blowout. Any tire will look like that if you continue to drive on it with no air.
The reason you had a blow out is because low profile tires aren't meant for high speeds, they wont be able to handle the conditions that the stock tires go through
@@JG638 yeah I know but ive seen way to many people get into accidents because they overfilled their tires, either he put too much air in it or the car just doesn't fit 22s
If you constantly grind the sidewalk against curbs , it's not going to last very long. Low profiles are not less durable. In most cases the sidewalk are more durable.
The Optima is a very nice handling car. 22 inch rims is just to big for a sedan. Now if you have and SUV 22 inch rims are doable. Mind you that low profile tires don't last as much as regular size tires. Good luck with your Optima.
Kia looks nice but I don’t understand why people go for the looks instead of the proven history of reliability. It makes no sense for a car to look good while seen being placed on a tow truck 🤔 but good luck with your ride my brother.
Truth personally I liked 'em on the car but lived in Florida for yrs on yrs we know road conditions be like swallow school buses & small house .LOL glad nobody got hurt fam keep us informed 💯🚘🔥🔥😐

No doubt. The massive knot on my tire didnt help either. Good looking out bruh
I've ran 225 /30 20s for ten years. You don't have. A blowout that causes a destruction of a tire, a curbed and bent rim. Stop lying
